We contacted James after my car broke down and he was there quicker than I could have anticipated. He was patient and careful with my car (which I was nervous about giving that I drive a Firebird) but he was so kind and professional. Will definitely be reaching out again when I need help :)

Called AAA and the owner of J&A Towing responded. From his arrival until he left he was extremely pleasant and courteous. He made short work of what I would consider a tricky situation. The vehicle would not start nor would the emergency brake release making it near impossible to move. Nevertheless he loaded the car without incident and dropped it off in the exact location I needed it in. He is a master of his craft. It's also refreshing to see there are still customer service oriented individuals out there.

101 Degrees and this company has a employee running for 12 hours with ZERO AC in his truck . Not only is it unacceptable for the employee but for any paying passengers they may ride with their vehicle! A employee sitting in his truck for 12 hours with no AC and only making commission off of the 1-3 ( IF HE IS LUCKY) calls for 12 hours is Absolutely ridiculous!! They make drivers do out of state calls when their Trucks are not registered to do transports out of PA, putting the driver at risk of fines. James & Anna are the owners of this poorly ran company . James is ignorant on many levels to his staff ; speaks to them like they are beneath him and treats them as if they are uneducated. My significant other stuck it out for several months too long before taking his More than Superb Work ethic , Generous and kind nature to a Tow Company that Respects him, Appreciates him and provides him with a more than adequate Truck and equipment to serve our community!WORD OF MOUTH GOES A LONG WAY IN A SMALL COMMUNITY

Very impressed with this towing company! I called at 6:40 pm and he was at my house loading my car at 6:55 pm SAME DAY! I drive a lowered Volkswagen that can be difficult to load/unload but J&A was able to load and transport with zero damage or concern. Highly recommend, price was right and very professional

Do not work for this place the pay is not worth it. Work 60 plus hours a week and you might see a 700 dollar paycheck unless your family. I worked the week of Thanksgiving brought home a whopping 140 dollars. Your talked to like an idiot beyond unprofessional so if you have the skills I suggest go elsewhere.

In town for the car show, my show car broke down in a bad intersection. The driver observed me and recognized I was in destress. He turned around and assisted me, towed my show car back to my hotel and helped me push it into a parking spot. Class act, went above and beyond to help someone in trouble and wouldn't take payment. This is the company to tow my prized possession as well as yours. observant, courtious, careful, and professional, everything you need when your car breaks down. Let them be the first one you call, you won't need to call anyone else.

Excellent Service and very knowledgeable! Our 01 PT Cruisers tie rod broke. J A Towing (via AAA) was there in less than a half hour. Well done! Curious and careful even with an older car. Thank You for the great service J A Towing!

Based on AAA call for a tow, J&A came quickly. Driver was friendly and knowledgeable. He could tell by the sound that the alternator was the problem. I planned to fix myself but driver convinced me to allow them to fix it as it is quite a tedious job. Had the car fixed within a day at a reasonable price. Happy with their service.

Had a complex issue with my entire steering and transmission locked up on a brand new SUV.J&A Towing was extremely prompt. James, the owner & dispatcher, was very friendly and called me several times to keep us up to date on his driver. Driver, Brandon, was very knowledgeable and was able to get my car up without any problems. He had fun with my boys, talking to them and teaching them about his trade, what he was doing & why. Highly recommend! I had a flat tire tonight at the Giant in Gettysburg and AAA sent out J&A. I probably only had to wait 15-20 minutes at the most before Brandon was there to save the day! He was pleasant, professional, and had my spare on in no time. He even went above and beyond by showing me how to go about changing a tire, where to position the jack, etc, in case I was ever stuck somewhere without phone service! I called AAA at 9:30am and received a call that because it was an over 200 mile tow that I would have to wait till the morning unless someone wanted it over night. About an hour later J&A called me saying that they will take the haul. James in the office was super professional and was not looking to rip me off with tolls. Brandon my driver called me when he was 30 minutes out and was professional on the phone. Brandon handled the car with care at the pick up and even called when he got the car back to New York for me. I would highly recommend this company for any towing and believe that they hold AAA standards with their customers. Thank you J&A for picking up this haul!Services: Car towing, Long distance hauling

James was a life saber when no one would come get us in Abottstown, I got stuck in the middle of the nowhere, my battery died and my insurance called all their contracted places, no one would help us...stranded in the dark in a thin emergency lane with all the cars coming by so fast. It was so scary but James from J & A towing and recovery was a life saver. He came and was very friendly to us. He took us to the place with a smile on his face at 11 pm. Great guy, I would recommend him to anyone! Thank you so much James for saving us!

Extremely fast and polite. I originally called AAA, but was on hold and 6th in line when I gave up and called J&A. He said he'd be there in 15 minutes and honestly it was less than that. He handled my problem and I was on my way in less time than I was on hold with AAA. I wish I'd taken of few more of his business cards to hand out to my neighbors. I am happy to recommend J & A. Thank you very much.

Driver thought it was humorous to try to charge me a $75 fee for n addition to tow charge for inflation . When I spoke up and questioned it he said he was just kidding. Inappropriate and not funny. Sounded very well rehearsed, I m sure not the first time he tried that on an unsuspecting individual.Service: Car towingService: Car towing

Had a car towed from friend's place to garage. Asked for rollback.. wasn't a problem....Really happy with the service. He was professional, on time, and most important, he was very patient with me. I would definitely use this business in the future. Very good prices.

Came even before the time given to me by the insurance company. Was excellent in service and professionalism. Didn't take long to get us to our destination and even gave me a ride home because my ride was not going to be there for at least 20 minutes. I recommend this company to anyone needing good towing service they are very good with their customers and the vehicles they transport.

Our car was parked at our home and needed towed to the garage. There is a fairly narrow alley behind our parking area and we weren't sure if the truck would fit, but the driver Aaron Swope got in and out like a champ. He was super professional and had the car loaded up within minutes of arriving. He also arrived much sooner than expected which was great.Service: Car towing

Brandon was wonderful! Showed up so fast.... the truck was immaculate inside. We chatted the whole way to the auto shop. He made an unfortunate incident fun somehow! I realized a popped tire is not the end of the world. Highly recommend....

My car stopped in the middle of a busy intersection in rush hour an hour away from my home. Circumstances were not looking favorable. Enter into my really bad day J&A Towing. He not only arrived earlier than promised, but he towed a little outside of his normal towing area. J&A towing was my hero on wheels! Thank you for excellent service and dependability, when the car was not dependable!

Traveling home to Virginia Beach and had a flat tire in Pennsylvania. USAA road side assistance contacted J and A Towing and Recovery. They repaired the flat and made sure the tire was safe for the rest of the way home. James and Anna thank you. High quality work and caring customer service .

i called J&A to have a truck towed out of our tenant parking lot, all of us tenants in our building have been complaining for weeks because this guy was parking in everyones private/PAID FOR parking spots, and even leaving notes on our cars telling us not to park in our own spots -_- after talking to my landlord about it she told me i can call to have him towed next time he was in one of our spots, she also had no clue who he was or that he lived in the building next door (same landlord) but low and behold a few hours later hes in my neighbors spot whos livid so we called J&A and told him how to get to our lot and which truck needed to be towed.. well the tow driver named Brandon called me asking for our landlords # while he was out there because truck owner came out obviously spewing bs in hopes to not have his truck towed.. my neighbor went out explaining everything, a quick argument ensued but the guy realized he was wrong and gave Brandon the keys.. no big deal, just sounds like a normal day for a tow truck driver, right? WRONG! wittle Brwandon boy calls me again after leaving and sounds like hes about to cry while screaming at me because the dude gets mail at the building next door which is irrelevant when hes parking in other peoples spots that they pay for, which is essentially PRIVATE PARKING. then he blames me for HIM ENTERTAINING THE TRUCK GUYS BS WHEN ALL HE HAD TO DO WAS TELL HIM tough luck, this is where you can pick your truck up tomorrow .. its not my fault you dont know how to handle someone trying to swindle you out of towing their truck away? anyway, before he hung up he screamed NEXT TIME MIND YOUR DA** BUSINESS! which also, it is my business when this dude was parking in my spot or someone elses every single day it should be 100% clear and understandable to have someone towed away whos parking in a private lot that doesnt belong there.. when we re paying an additional fee on our rent every month for assigned parking spots, you re dangggg right im having it taken care of the only legal way i can so he learns his lesson. please tell Brandon to just do his job and stop calling and screaming at women..Service: Car towing

rip off when u r being towed. not willing to work with you for any reason. Everyone struggles,some more than others. but for an 11 mile tow from point A to there tow yard over 650$.. Wow.. Can i flush my money down the toilet now??
