Avoid Avoid Avoid, $750.00 for a bushing and a piece of 1/2 inch black pipe 1 inch long and 6 gallons of coolant. Charged me Two hours of labor at 175.00/ hour and the job took 20 minutes. 175.00 road service call. 37.50/ gallon of coolant. 35.00 for the bushing and pipe. Do whatever you can to find someone else. Road tech was a nice kid His boss is a rip off. Highway robbery! Call someone else it s worth it believe me.

Go with Hammer towing the person that answered the phone up to the technician that was polite, professional & considerate enough to say hang tight he s on the way would have gotten my lil $20 tip for customer service, I should have told my company I would wait for them during my lockout if I would have known I was going to get this big rude mfn white boy with no professionalism about hisself! The least you could have done was spoke because I gave you business and have a good day because you were already paid. Instead of making ppl having a bad day feel worse!Update: 1/11/24I m not sure who you are referring to owner but my lockout happened at Walmart DC with my Semi truck in Pottsville while you re trying to have a reply to everything you don t even know what you are talking about or how rude your Effn employee was to me so sit this one out take this review for what it is and address it accordingly!

JRL did an excellent job clearing up this truck roll over. They offer 24 hour service and are very reliable and trustworthy. The owner, John, is a very knowledgeable man. I was highly impressed with the conversation I shared with him and will be sure to visit his car care shop for future maintenance work.

Just a trouble place. Stay away never do business JRL Emergency Services. I had Truck breakdown near their location. We call them because they were closest location to us. I ask if they had computer to diagnostic engine which they told me yes which was a lie. Guy a show up with without computer to scan the engine the one thing I ask. However his fee for show up was fair. Following morning I ask for price to tow truck only to a dealer 26 miles. He tow my truck without telling me price I ask over the phone. He tow tractor only for about 26 miles and charge over $2000.00 BUT REDUCES $1200. What I'm Really mad about is he told me it took two guys hours to pull the truck from the trailer. Because "there is no air to release air brakes" That is just sad. Very dishonest.

Great towing/ mechanic services!Took my tri-axle dump truck to JRL Emergency Service as a first time customer to have immediate repairs made. I spoke with Mike who ensured me he would have my truck repaired the same day and that s exactly what he did, I was thinking very impressed! These guys know their stuff and have the equipment to get the job done! I was treated very fair and will be back again Thanks again guys!

Scammers and bigots!! Beware. How are you going to charge to tow a truck with a trailer $100,000?!!! Now you re keeping the truck hostage. It couldn t because we re Hispanic could it be?!! The attorney general will be in contact. Hope you get everything you deserve.

Was skeptical to use these guys after reading all the negative reviews but I was mistaken. Broke down with a snapped alternator belt and cracked hose that was leaking coolant. They towed my truck and trailer to their shop and I was out within a couple hours. Price was fair

These guys were absolutely wonderful & very understanding. My vehicle had gotten towed because i left it in the CACL parking lot overnight. Which obviously upset me very much. Long story short JRL went above and beyond to help me out of my situation. I would highly recommend them.

Towing service is ok, but if he offers to check your truck and work on it, RUN!!!! HE just keeps you there, lying about when he would have your truck ready, he says today, then he says I don t have the part, then would just keep changing the day, also if you ask him when, he would not give you a date. He just goes around too much! Then if you choose to move it to a specialized mechanic, he would charge you this crazy fees!Would not recommend this place for mechanic things!

Had the unfortunate experience of my semi losing all power going east on 78 (ladies team drivers). Barely on the shoulder, praying the traffic would not smash into the back of my trailer. John showed up sensing the urgency to get the truck away from the dangerous spot we were in. He attempted to get truck started by troubleshooting in the electrical components before calling his son to bring the tow to get us off the shoulder. His son came quickly with another employee to get us off the road. At the end of the day, John and his family helped get the truck to the dealership, then took us to a motel. John is honest, open and super friendly. I would recommend this family owned and operated service to all my trucker buddies. I'm shocked by the poor reviews and can only say that John made a hard, true effort to fix but will be honest on the diagnosis. John also was keen on our well being and made sure during this horrible experience on the highway that we were safe and asked several times if we needed to go to the restrooms. Before dropping us off the motel, he made sure we got something to eat so we wouldn't be stuck without food. I can't say enough good things about this company.

very unprofessional and rude owner. from the moment he picks up the phone i should had known I was dealing with a mechanic that was not ready and just over charges you for his service. we had a road call and shows up with no tool just fuel ended up with been a filter change and didn't have the tool with him or time (he said) i asked once truck was turned on if we can go to his shop for pm and said no time im busy , you can come tomorrow and ill do filter change, why i called him 2x next day he wanted to charge me 150 for a filter change even though he was open on the weekends and went to shot. and after spending on the first call 400 bucks just for fuel , service call and first hour . horrible service , horrible customer service, horrible people taking advantage of hard working class.....

My truck broke down on the side of the road a few weeks ago. They came out within half an hour of breaking down and had me back on the road the following day. For the work they did I was expecting a huge bill but at the end they were extremely affordable and very fast in service. Also very knowledgeable crew

My truck broke down on New Years Eve. I called them and they sent a tow truck within an hour. Found the problems that the last 3 shops couldn't find. Tow bill and repair were very fair. I would definitely recommend this place!

I work for a local Oil Company in Schuylkill County and we had an accident with the truck! Very fast friendly and professional service!Ended up with another truck down cause a other garage couldn't figure out the vibration was coming from the drive shaft! This crew from JRL went above and beyond!

Good people. Good service. And quickly arrived. My wife's cherokee went in a deep ditch full of mud. They came out with the big wrecker that's for 18 wheeler to pull it out to make sure nothing got damaged on the pull out. Then they put it on small wrecker .this was on 209 in New Philly pa .thanks to the crew for there smart thinking and service.

Extortionist to the max. Very unprofessional and rude business owner. Overcharging for a very short tow and did over $1100 in damage because of simple negligence. Not to mention the 2k impound bill for a vehicle that was in his lot for barely a half a day.

24 hour service is what they claim, no service is what we got. They refused to look at our broken down Volvo that was basically right down the street. Bad, condescending attitude is what I got over the phone. Was more interested in not running the call and telling me what I wanted than listening to what I was asking for. Ended up towing the thing 150 miles. Thanks for nothing JRL :"Emergency Services" . Rude and arrogant, don't Call them . Don't let the one star fool you, the reason they get it is because you cant post a review with zero stars, but that is what they earned from me.

Last weekend my truck broke down near Pottsville pa on Sunday I call dozens of repair shops but no one could help me. I m glad I called JRL. The gentleman who answer the call was very nice and got me back on the road within few hours. No one could get the parts because it was sunday He went out of his way to get the parts I needed. Again Thank u so much.

Good and friendly guys.Their knowledge and experience is beyond expected.Had trailer issues and had been to two other shops whom weren't able to fix the problem.Came here, they quickly found the problem and they fixed it right.The all help each other and without hesitation to do what they can to get you back on the road as soon as possible.Thank you, good job.

They take advantage of people. The fact they are on the state police tow list and think its OK to charge nearly $500 for a half hour tow is absurd. I filed complaints with PSP and the officer I spoke to said they have had numerous complaints. They are a shady company who over charge. I've never come across a company that cares so little about its customers.

Most Dishonest, and prepotent mechanics I have ever dealt with. We caught them trying to get us to pay them to repair the engine when they knew it was only the engine starter. They are just a bunch of pricks. Dont event consider taking your truck there. You have been warned!

Very, very expensive and Bad repair. They use the strategy that they do not have the part and they have to go and get it. They leave two or three hours and say that they are 160 miles for our part so we can buy it a few steps away. They do not think about the customer but their profit. and the most ridiculous is that every time they get a bad opinion on google, they invent a review to improve their star rating. No one would want to go back down there. They make money on people in trouble.

I got a blow off on my vehicule at 3 AM on the i87 south and JRL was great to come help me. I wait only 20 minutes before the guy come to help me and he was very nice!thank you JRL emergency you was great but i hope not call you back !!

Great people work here and sacrifice time and family to be ready on a moments notice for you and I in our times of need. That s invaluable. They have the equipment, they are trained above and beyond what is required, and are environmental conscious.. give JRL a shot, you won t be disappointed

Thank you for getting my truck back on the road. Great customer service. It took a little more time to get someone there but over all great job.
