I had my vehicle towed here after some transmission problems, and I will never make that mistake again. Having your vehicle anywhere near this shop is a good way to get a headache. Bob lied about what time my vehicle arrived to his shop (it showed up on a tow truck with GPS tracking and camera footage of the delivery, pretty hard to lie about that) and blamed me instead of his lack of awareness for my vehicle "arriving late". On the phone I explained my issue with my transmission down to the part number, and he said he could fix the transmission for me for a great price. It was a bait and switch. After my car sat in his lot for a week he finally got it in the shop, and suggested replacing the whole transmission, for a small part that is not even in the drivetrain technically. He seems to have no more knowledge than a YouTube mechanic, and the personality of a cactus. Bob is a lying thief looking to take your money and give you sub-par service and a poor attitude. Save yourself the money and time and go to someone who actually knows what they are talking about and doing.

Enter at your own risk this company uses slick maneuvers sells you old used parts as new anything to make a buck. What not use this company please beware.

Stan's transmission did good and fast work on my 2011 Ford crown Victoria police interceptor soon as I got my vehicle back me and my wife went straight to Kentucky to visit our daughter at school can't wait to give them a review on my other vehicle once it's done

These guys milked my wife s warranty company and didn t fix any of the transmission issues. Don t go!!

I swear I can not find a good mechanic in the Allegheny area I am still under warranty and I will not take my car here transmission has already failed less than 2 years 2200.00 dollars for garbage work the car is fine but the transmission is done or should I give this place another 2200.00 dollars I don't think so the American mechanic sucks.

After Rocky start to my repair and having some issues with work quality. I spoke with bob the owner. He corrected all my concerns and continued to go above and beyond. His customer service and gratitude is amazing and I m glad there are still people like him around that want things done right the first time and wants returning customers. This was one of the few times I trusted and one of the few shops I trust to work on my car and not get ripped off. AmazingServices: Tires, Transmission repair

My F-150 broke down away from home at night. The tow truck driver offered me various options as to where he should take it. I chose Stan's for geographical reasons. As the work was being done over the course of a few days I was concerned about whether they would do a good job, it was a major repair. When I picked it up all the work was done properly, what surprised me is they did other things above and beyond that. And did not charge me for these items. These were things I had been meaning to do but the money was a little tight. They did these things I never mentioned to them. I'm generally very careful with recommendations, I will highly recommend Stans to anyone I know.

For what its worth. Stan has done previous work on my other cars, putting several transmissions in with no problem. However in June 2020, he put a rebuilt transmission in my 2011 Buick Lucerne . When picking car up I noticed it would not start at times .Lights would not dim ,no clicking from starter. The starting system and battery checked out ok. I called him back and told him there was a problem at times starting the car. I left the car and he called me and said shift cable was bad. For the last 2 month I have left the car there at least 5 times , he had a problem getting the right cable. Finally I went on ebay and was able to purchase the right part..He put it in on 8/27/20. It worked good the first day and than the starting problem started all over again. I also noticed I could not shift it into first gear manually also. Again on my previous cars I had no problem. But on this repair I'm disappointed .Service: Transmission

I went to buy a car from this guy and he told me he was fixing a couple things on it so we made plans for a Saturday and then the day before I message him and he tells me the cars sold. That s a good way to do business and sell stuff from under the first buyer interested that told you they were serious and had cash. I heard bad things about this guy and how shady he is and I was willing to give him a shot but not anymore. This shop and owner is a hard no for me.

My family has used them since the mid 90's! We have had Multiple cars and trucks repaired there. They do a great professional job and we have never had a problem. Probably had 10 or more transmission's rebuild here and 2 transfer cases! They are Family owned and operated. They do it Right!

I took my Volkswagen here to be serviced. It was diagnosed wrong I kept having the same problem. . I am out of thousands of dollars. They replaced my value body when I actually needed a dual clutch. Stan's Transmission stepped in to replace a transmission on our vehicle in December 2016.This is a first-class operation from start to finish. All of the work was done in just a couple of days. We have had zero issues with the vehicle since. The price was very reasonable and the warranty offered on the transmission is about the best I think one could expect.Bobby was very thorough, patient when answering questions, and even went above and beyond by helping to assist in the resolution of an issue with a previous mechanic. It is obvious that they have the expertise that's necessary to get the job done right the first time. This is a business that clearly strives to meet a high standard of honesty, integrity and professionalism - which is very difficult to find these days, especially in this industry.I have no hesitation in recommending this business now and in the future.

They did okay work, but after we already paid for our own fluids and parts, and told them to only swap the transmission and nothing else, they charged us $100+ more than the originally agreed price due to doing the same work we already had done! Very hard to talk with, wouldn't recommend going back.

Excellent service that completed my vehicle repair within the same day. The price was very fair, much lower than I would have been charged elsewhere. Try Stan's, you'll be pleased with the results.

This guy ripped me off over $500. They worked on my car 3 times in a single week and still failed to fix the manifold wiring harness. They refused to refund. I took it elsewhere and it was fixed first try for less. Take your car anywhere else, don t trust them with your vehicle. These people are completely incompetent.

This is the worse place ever. Do not use them rip off tries his best to get money for things covered by warranty does not stand behind work. Bobby is the rudest person I ever came across. Always arguing about your vehicle , and does not even want to tell you what is wrong with your vehicle. Forged invoices and all. Stay away he had my vehicle for 6 weeks. Also had my vehicle sitting outside Windows down with leaves in vehicles driver side rug soaked keys inside ignition. CD player broken now and back wiper blade not working. Bad business beware!

I have brought all six my car is here for the tranny work, or transmission flush and had no issues!. The staff is very friendly and straightforward. If it needs done they tell you, if it looks good and let you know as well

Bob is a liar, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional. He lied about fixing things that he didn't. He lied about it not being my transmission when it was. He just didn't want to fix it because it was under warranty. So i had to pay honda 100 dollars for them to tell me that was my transmission and that he didn't fix the harness like he said. I asked him y he lied and he got real disrespectful with me but said he would fix it. I got my car back a month later in worse condition. He broke my battery terminal and wedged a screw in it to keep it tight and said nothing to me about it when I picked my car up. Now my car doesn't start at all. On top of that he lost my wheel lock. Thanks bob! I will never bring u another car or recommend u to any 1. Your warranty means nothing.

The owner was very unprofessional, rude, disrespectful and a big liar. I will never if he was the last auto mechanic on earth I will never take my car to be serviced by him again.I advise anyone not to have your car serviced their avoid this place by every means possible if you don't you will regret it.

Great group of guys ,vary knowledgeable. Had my 08 gmc 2500hd diesel transmission rebuilt by them.

Bob is a liar who took my car, charged 1300 for an inspection by adding all kinds of extra money that has nothing to do with an inspection. Gives my car back and says its a great car and I should have no problems. Then it starts overheating the same day I got it back. I take it back and they say they have to keep it because they used the wrong parts. Now it's over heating again so he says I need a new engine. Bob is a scam artist and a criminal. He's served time in federal prison for crimes related to being dishonest and taking advantage of people. He's not cheap and he'll create new problems to make more money.

I recommend my brother take his truck there because tranny was starting to hard shift. After the worst experience of his and my life. I felt terrible I recommend such a shady place. Bob who I believe is the owner is the most unprofessional ingorant person I've ever met in my life. All in all he paid A lot of money to this crocked place. I believe they put used junk parts in his truck. That I don't even believe we're the right parts to begin with. The truck is worse now and we were told basically to get out that we were beat. I think it's time to give it up bob. Your making a very bad name in the area. Stop scamming people and do the work right or find some real mechanics that can do the work people pay for. Stay away from this place. Your better off finding a back yard mechanic with no experience to do the work.

Bottom line, he's not the cheapest but he is one of the best. Very thorough and great work. Honest. Took my vehicle to three different mechanics and spent a fortune and it never got fixed. Took it to Stans and was told I wasted my money as everything that was done prior had nothing to do with the problem! Next time straight to Stans! You get what you pay for. Cheap price, shoddy work. When safety is at stake, get it done right!

They are thieves. I worked for them and made them good money. I quit the job because Bob is violent and tried to fight me in the shop. Then Bob refused to pay me my last check. I went to court and he never showed up. The judge awarded me double my last pay but he still hasn't paid me.

I called with a concern about some sound I observed while driving, they were able to get me in right away. They offered honest and thorough diagnosis of the issue that put me at ease. They were extremely kind and professional. I would highly recommend Stan's and would go again.

They picked up my truck from the dealership service center the same day that I called them (Sat). When we spoke Monday he quoted me a price and a date the vehicle would be ready. The work was done when he said it would be,he went above and beyond to explain to me how the engine got damaged and agreed to answer any follow-up questions. I called a few days later with a question that wasn't even relevant to the work done and he told me to just stop over any time. I stopped by later that day he checked the power steering fluid and also my washer fluid without hesitation. Being a woman it's really hard to find a mechanic that doesn't make you feel like your an idiot or like your an ATM machine. . I finally found one that I can work with! If you have an engine problems just call Stan's.

Worst place ever to do business with. Bob is very ignorant and does not know how to talk to people. Said he fixed a wire harness that he never touched. Transmission was under warranty and was acting up not shifting right so he put another transmission in with out my authorization and it didn't fix the problem then going to say I owe him money because the transmission didn't fix the problem. Do not go here stay far away.

I can t believe that they used my car as their service Car for the shop! The lady told me to go get my car...couldn t see it and 5min later the mechanic pull up with some mechanic part in his hands! Bravo, very professional. Never again!!!!! Wouldn t recommend to nobody. And the attitude...oh boy!
