I took my car there for inspection today and I was in and out in an hour totally hassle free and inexpensive! John is fantastic and so funny! He definitely kept me entertained while I was waiting! I ll definitely be going back to see him next time!!

Been coming here for about 8 years now and I've never had an issue. John's prices are fair and you never leave there scratching your head on what you paid for. First time customer and I'm very pleased with the repairs done on my car. The bill was a little "ouchie", but only because the part it needed is expensive. I feel the labor charge was very fair considering what needed done.Will soon be back to get a tune-up!

Bean ALWAYS does honest and great work it s hard to find a place that does a great job for a good price. Actually fixes problems instead of taking your money. I have known John since I was living with my grandparents. John has taken care of my grandparents cars for years. If anyone in the Pittsburgh area needs work done, I recommend John Bean. He is the best mechanic in Pittsburgh. I brought my car to John because it was running rough and he told me I needed a full tune up which was the correct diagnosis. I called him the next day and set up the appointment for June 8. He was prompt at getting the parts I needed and got the parts replaced in less than 2 hours. After the repair got done, my car started running better. I would go to him if I need any work done. Best mechanic in North Versailles, PA. Thank you John. You had the diagnosis right.He corrected the problem that the dealership would not fix. His prices are much lower than the dealership service prices.

Couldn't ask for a better mechanic. If you have an issue, John will tell you exactly what your options are & not rake you over the coals. The BEST place to have your car repaired! NO kidding! Have always had our cars serviced here I had my Mom's car taken care of today and I'm here to tell you the car hasn't driven this well since my Dad passed nearly three years ago! Thanks Beans! You ARE the BEST!

I'd like to give 4 1/2 stars. Found on Google, very picky about auto repair...used to do my own! And I'm not too familiar with the area. But John has been nothing but nice. First, I had an electrical problem with my car. He didn't stop looking until he found it, and fixed the issue. Then it was brakes and inspection, which he did very quickly. The price is right, and he's such a gentleman! I've been pleased. I was going to another shop previously, but with the coronavirus precautions, they couldn't accommodate me. Bean's is now my go-to place.

Made an appointment for inspection. Went early Wednesday morning. Car was checked. Was told car needs work done. Couldn t give me a price and would call me to come back and have work done. Never received a phone call. I called there Thursday was told they would call back and definitely fix car this week. Never received a call. Today is Saturday.

I was seeking a new, reliable, honest mechanic, which we all know is hard to find. I decided to give this place a try. I have now taken my car there 3 times in the past 5 months.The 1st time was when my brake light came on. John discovered that the previous mechanic who worked on my car a few weeks earlier had used American-standard screws when installing new brakes, instead of the Metric screws needed for my Subaru. The wrong-sized screws had caused a hole in the brake line allowing precious brake fluid to leak. John fixed the hole and installed the correct screws. Such a small thing, but he was able to diagnose and fix the problem for a very reasonable price.The 2nd time I took my car there was for its annual inspection. For a 19-year-old car, I hold my breath at each annual inspection. My car passed and needed hardly anything at all a minor miracle. And a sign of an honest mechanic.The 3rd time I took my car there was when the "Check Engine" light came on recently. When I called to make an appointment, John told me to stop in anytime, and he'd run a diagnostic. So I went in, and he ran the diagnostic and checked a few things. There is a minor issue with my car's 19-year-old engine that I need to watch, but the car is still fine for the time being, and no repair was needed. And there was no charge for checking my car that day. (He spent about 10-15 minutes checking it for me in the parking lot.)I am so relieved to have found a great mechanic who charges reasonable fees and is very honest. John also offered to give me a ride to my house both times I dropped off my car, which I thought was really nice. Not every garage will provide a ride home.When you own a 19-year-old car, the repairs are inevitable. I'm glad I found someone reliable, knowledgeable, and honest to work on my car. His work is excellent, and his rates are fair. I highly recommend Bean's Auto Repair.

He is a very nice guy. Left my car for 4 days for inspection. Some things got fixed but wasnt completely done and I needed it back. Arranged to drop it off for another 5 days while I was out of town. Car didnt get looked at until day 3. On day 4 I pointed out that I needed it back on day 5 and was told they weren't going to have time to fix it and just come get it. I gave the benefit of the doubt for a long time but to keep my car, knowing theres a time frame and I gave advanced notice of it, just to tell me never mind come get it is ridiculous. I could've had it somewhere else for that time where it could have actually been fixed. Now its uninspected for 2 months and I dont have time to take it anywhere else.

One of the most honest mechanics in Pgh area. He isnt intrested in cheating anyone or creating more work that will cost a customer more money! Mr Bean is straightforward. So if you are a woman looking for a reliable,honest and affordable mechanic...try Bean! You wont be dissatisfied

I went in because of an oil leak. A flex pipe DOES NOT fix an oil leak issue.. months later I'm STILL LEAKING OIL. . Disappointed!Service: Oil changeService: Oil change
