If I could put zero stars I would. The lady was so rude and would not help what so ever when I pulled in with a flat tire needing to get it plugged. Thank Goodness we called Bethmans right down the road because they were so nice and accommodating and fixed it in less than 15 minutes with no problem at all. At least one good thing came out of them being so rude.

This station always goes above and beyond to make sure people get the service they need as quickly and efficiently as possible. Customers should also be mindful and patient when the weather gets to below freezing temperatures and snow is present, they get extremely bombarded with gas customers, tire issues, and preventive maintenance for such weather conditions that would cause service to not be as speedy as the would hope to be. We appreciate all you do for the community!!

My experience here was 1st class!Had a flat Friday evening at 6PM. A weekend before a long road trip to Cleveland.Dropped off the car with Sean at front desk at 615 PMHad a chat with Brian who I believe may be the chief tech on Sat @ 10 AM.Resolution was to replace both tires. Asked Brian to get me a quote.1030 AM I got the quote.1PM the car was ready.I was able to leave for my trip 1 day earlier!Thank you guys for your A1 service!Service: Tires

blonde haired girl didn t notice i was at the pump, and then proceed to spill 1/3 of my gas all over the hood and intake of my car. might have caused damages. not happy.

I have been bringing my cars here for over a decade and love this business! I am always greeted by a friendly voice, able to get an appointment when needed (sometimes on very short notice) and my car is always ready before the time I requested. The mechanics are fantastic and care about you & your vehicle. I have learned a lot from them over the years. They are excellent teachers! And they have rescued me from the occasional nail in tire without any notice! I highly recommend this repair shop! They are the best!

My parent's take their car there to get serviced and I had an inquiry about the last oil change. I left a message and they promptly returned my call and were very informative. The customer service was exceptional and felt valued. Also have gone there to get gas many time and always a good experience.

Rick's goes above and beyond, they really do their best to help you! Had to get our sedan ready for cross country trip. Had an issue with bumper, they were able to do a quick fix which mad out trip so much easier. We didn't lose out bumper and we are ever so grateful for that! Not to mention the most important work making it road ready for over 3K trip, all courteous and reasonable. Highly recommend Rick Steeles Gulf for all your auto repairs.

We have lived in the area for over 20 years and have used this garage on many occasions. They are always extremely nice and helpful! Today, I am finally leaving a review - my car's computer system flashed a scary message "low tire pressure!" I drove straight to Rick Steele's Gulf Station. I waited only a few minutes for the air in my tires to be adjusted and then was told "No charge". It was so generous and kind! And I was so grateful to be on my way again, driving safely!In the past, employees at this station brought gas to me when I ran out of it while driving nearby (with young children in the car). Again - so kind. We have also had State inspections done there sometimes. These are wonderful people - and they are way more than just a gas station!

Big fan of this local spot! My family has been going here for years and they are always quick and attentive with service. I never feel like I'm being overcharged. When I go to fill up my tires here (free air pump), I'm greeted by friendly staff who offer to pump it for me

I've been going there since 1995. They do great work, fair prices, always there for their customers. I like that the main mechanics Jim and Dean have been there since before I became a customer. It's a family run business and they carry that family feeling to their customers as well. I highly recommend them. I wouldn't go anywhere else.

Gas is very overpriced (as is every gas station in Newtown) so I never get gas here unless I have to and then it's only $20 at a time. That said, the service is phenomenal, they pump your gas like in Jersey, and they have FREE air with no line. The air compressor is also commercial grade, so it filled up my nearly flat tire in 10 seconds, whereas a Wawa air pump would have taken several minutes and I would have had to wait in a long line. Honestly, I would come here in the winter and pay $8-10 more to fill up my tank just for the air pump.

Had originally taken my car to another Auto Service place and was quoted a very high price for what would turn out to be a misdiagnosis. Took it to Rick Steele's and i am glad i did...after some diagnostics, the correct diagnosis was made for a lot less money. They also did my State Inspection.There is certainly a good community vibe here where you can tell that he will never upsell you just to make a quick buck for work that really isn't required. Trust and reliability brings return business and i will certainly go back the next time my cars need service.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

On 5/15/20 my wife and I attending a drive by parade honoring a Vietnam Vet in Newtown Twp. We were in my classic car and on our ride home the car began to give me issues. I stopped at Steele s Gulf to see if I could get a hand in diagnosing the issue and to borrow a couple hand tools. Without hesitation Brian Max and the owner gave me a hand getting me back on the road. During this time another female employee came outside to check on us while we figured out the problem and got us back running. I appreciate that they all stopped what they were doing to help my wife and I.

Had a very good experience, but full service is not always "full"...I like the staff. Prices are reasonable for the quality of work. They know what they're doing and go above and beyond, will return.Would like better "full service", since sometimes it gets a bit busy and there's usually one or two people trying to service more than 4 cars at once. Aka they only service as many as they are able to. Don't charge for full service if it won't be provided, maybe?

Always so helpful... I will never forget the first day I use this place.. I had just bought in a used car and when I arrived for my job interview down the road about a 1/2 mile away, parked my car. The car alarm began going off and would not stop...no matter what I did.I quickly started the car and drove to Ricks ,explained the situation(he could hear the issue)...I got the job and the mechanic disconnected my alarm so I could drive home.(no charge). I often get gas here for that reason...AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE.*****FINAL DIAGNOSIS ***** KEY FAB needed new battery....

I was selling a 2011 Nissan Quest to a customer from Newtown, PA. She asked me to bring the vehicle to Rick Steele's Gulf Service to check it prior the purchase.The appointment was scheduled for Friday at 9:30 A.M. - she told me it takes 15-20 minutes. I used to drive this van for while and like usual, in the morning I started the vehicle without any issues and brought my vehicle for a check up. After 20 minutes of waiting they finally started the inspection of my vehicle. I provided the mechanic records of which service was done before I offered it for sale. I spent around $1200 on this car this year including drivetrain service. I had to patiently play with my phone for an hour and half until I finally received my vehicle back. I asked the mechanic if he found anything wrong. He replied with just minimum state allowed inspection, rear brakes and wipers, both have wear and tear. I was happy until I tried to start my vehicle - the battery was almost dead. Then, it finally started with the Check Engine light on the dash. I decided to shutdown the engine and start it again and try to reset the light by turning the ignition off and on but the vehicle still did not start. After I asked a station service to find if the mechanics disconnected any sensor(s) when they did the check up. I also asked if I could have help to jumpstart the car and reset the light. The lady from the service told me I d be charged extra for this. I was very confused because I gave the car with a good battery and no lights on the dash. Then, I asked her to check with the mechanic. She told me the technician jumped my vehicle, which is a possible reason why the check engine light came on. I was extremely disappointed because my car had a dead battery and a check engine light on yet they refused to help me to start it and return my vehicle the same conditions as it was before I gave them the key. I got lucky my friends were 15 minutes away from me and they assisted me with starting my vehicle and did a diagnostic check. The check engine light was ON because the MFS sensor was disconnected and connected back while the engine was running and in this case the main computer of the vehicle turns the Check Engine light on. Not probably dead battery course of the above problem!!! (checked with technician). Finally I was on the road and after driving for almost 100 miles did not find any problem. The car runs perfect with no any issue with battery or lights on the dash. I called to my buyer and she told me based on inspection the car has a lot of issues and Check Engine light on, and she is not going to buy it. I explained all my bad experience with this company and sked her to bring it to any Nissan dealer. She said NO!!! I am OK because next day I sold this vehicle $800 more than I offered . The buyer is happy!!! The car was also dirty when I received it with oil spots on the carpet and panels. I will not recommend this company for this type of service. I am sure they have professional mechanics but based of my situation I will never allow them to touch my car and use this place again even the gas station!!!!P.S.4/15/2021You never jumped my car by my request. I guess you did it at your property. You gave me key and left it on the parking lot. If you check my previous explanation, I was able to start it after with check engine light on, but after when I decided to restart it to see if check engine light is still on, the battery was dead!!!! When I asked lady to help me, she refused and ask to schedule an appointment and charges will apply. I just asked to return me back my vehicle with the same condition as was before. My friends did helped me to jump and reset light. We found MFS (Mass flow sensor) was disconnected and connected again. Very small percentage possibility the light came because battery had low charge. I sold this vehicle month ago to another buyer and customer is happy. She did not get any warning lights after driving almost 1000 mile. In this case I assume it was done on purpose!!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

They are so nice and helpful here. Quick availability of appointments and they stick to their estimated finished times. Their prices are fair and they explain anything in more detail that you don't understand.

Friendly service, they always let you know what they have found prior to any repairs. They make well informed recommendations and they perform all work according to OEM specs. Imagine I will take my vehicles there forever!

Last Saturday, I noticed that my tire pressure light came on as I was driving. I figured it was just because of the cold but that I would put air in my tires within the next couple of days. Well, I stopped at a store and when I got out, I heard a hissing sound which was air leaving my tire. I jumped back in the car and knew I had to get to a gas station quickly. I went to two of the closest ones. One was only pumping gas that day and the other one just turned me away and said that they couldn't fit me in. I was worried because I knew that I only had very limited time to get somewhere before I couldn't drive my car any longer. Then I arrived at Rick Steele's Gulf and went in to tell them my problem. I was told that they would look at it and fix it for me...and that is what they did. They were so wonderful to work with and I felt so relieved to be in good hands. I highly recommend this shop. Of all the Newtown gas stations and body shops, this is where I will take my car.

I came here as a result of a referral & couldn't be happier w the service. Mechanic was very informative, staff was extremely friendly, place was clean & everything went smoothly despite them being down a mechanic for the day. I'll absolutely be back & referring everybody I know!

Last evening my elderly parents had a issue with their car that required a tow truck. After the tow truck driver loaded the car we decided to go to RICK STEELES GARAGE in Newtown to get air in the spare tire so they could drive their car home.We arrived at the station at 9:00 pm. The air compressor required quarters so I went in to the office to get change. The door was locked and two young men were sitting in the office. After few minutes of them staring at me they finally opened the door and I explained that I needed change for the air compressor. I was told they were closed and the compressor had been turned off. I explained that my parents had been outside waiting for a tow for an hour and we just needed air for their spare for the car on the tow truck. The young man told me "sorry we are closed- I can't help you". It was 9:01!!!! They closed at 9:00!He told me to try the station down the road that they were open until 10. My elderly mother than went over and again explained that we just needed air in their tire- Nope he wasn't willing to help.Well RICK STEELE your inconsiderate employees have just lost business for you.Thankfully the other station was open and the employees were very helpful. I will certainly frequent their business- a little kindness can go a llloooonnngg way!
