These guys are great. Found them from a Google search to get an inspection done on a 83 cougar. We just bought the car so we figured there would be some stuff wrong with her. The two people we dealt with were thorough, informative, showed us exactly what was wrong, gave us tips for cheap and effective fixes. Honest, not trying to rip you off, thorough enough to save your life, and kind enough not to scalp you in costs. Best overall experience I ve ever had with a garage.

He s a fraud. His pitch was My Wife just died I get to work when I get there, when I simply asked him what time does he open??? Long story short I took my car to him to be giving bogus diagnosis that would cost me 700$, and he charged 35$ for that. I took it to my mechanic and he repaired it for 300$ and it wasn t what Powell quoted me lol. He s bias so be aware and don t make him your first choice. Horrible customer service

Small Town appeal like something form Andy Griffith feel.We had a serious break issue and he took the jeep in immediately took it apart then and there he replaced everything related to the breaks and we got it back the next day. Very fair price . Job very well done. He's going to be my go to guy from now on.

Got my car inspected here this July (because they did a great job last year) and they gave it back saying it passed and nothing needed repair. I am beyond shocked. Normally, other places would find something so simple, like my windshield wiper needs replaced (even though I've just replaced it with a new pair), before they can pass it, or they'd give me my car back and a lug nut, or a few things would be missing. Not at Powell's! Bill was so kind and professional, I'd trust all my car repairs with him! Try them! You will not be disappointed! Oh, and to top it off, I even received a post card from them, thanking me for choosing service from them, and to call if I'm not satisfied. Now THAT is great customer service! Thanks Powell's! :)!

We've taken our car there for the past 2 years for inspection and emissions. The service is great! Their work is reliable. We needed a lot of work done last year and he worked with us on getting it done little by little. This year we didn't need anything extra done. It was quick and easy. Super friendly and excellent service! I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Bills a great mechanic. My family has taken our cars to him for years. He won t overcharge or make you overpay for something you won t need. I've been taking ALL my vehicles here for years. They are always honest and reasonable. They get the work done in a timely manner. Love Billy Powell he's a great guy!! The last of the honest mechanics.

My wife and I brought our car in for emissions/inspection and found the service to be phenomenal. Bill was wonderful to deal with and got us in and out right away. We felt very comfortable and will absolutely be going back there again if we need anything!

These guys do awesome work. We have had work done on all of our vehicle by Powell's and they get the job done right the first time with reasonable labor rates. They don't try and sell you stuff you don't need and simply throw parts at a problem; instead, they correctly diagnose it and only fix what is broken. They also give you an accurate time-frame of how long the repair will take which is usually very fast. I have been to other places that will store your car in their lot for days before even looking at it. I rarely write reviews, but this place deserves a good one!

I have been taking my vehicles to Powell's since I moved to the area. It is very difficult to find a garage that will not try to upsell you services. Not the case at Powell's. Bill will only repair what is necessary, and if he thinks it can be done better or cheaper elsewhere, he will inform you of that right away. He is easy to schedule with, which is great considering my hectic work schedule. My last visit, I stopped by to schedule an appointment. I dropped the car off on a Tuesday night for service on a Wednesday. When I handed Bill the keys, he informed me that he may not be able to get the car done as agreed due to a personal matter with his staff. This was not a problem for me and I told him to take the time he needed as I had a spare vehicle (I know, not many of us do). My point is, Bill was upfront about it and you just don't see that kind of integrity very often now a days.My recommendation is to have your auto repairs done at Powell's. His prices are very reasonable. Why support out of the area expensive dealerships when you have a compotent mechanic right here in New Ken?Thanks Bill.

After years of searching for a good mechanic I have finally found one! Bill is fair, honest and does an awesome job. He takes his time to talk with you, to diagnose your car's problem and to come up with a solution on how to fix your vehicle. He doesn't try to up-charge or sell unnecessary parts or service! I am so happy we found him and he will be our mechanic for years to come!

I was a first time customer and I just had my car inspected. I didn't have any problems with the car, but the service was fast and friendly. There's not really a waiting area so it's more of a drop off and pick up.I always brought my car to performance auto, but they seem mainly interested in convenient hours for themselves and charging top dollar. I was a long time customer and spend thousands there. I asked for a one-time break on a diagnostic fee and they said no way and I said goodbye :-)

I visited Powell's Auto Service Center a few weeks ago to have my car inspected. What I found was a diamond in the ruff. They are friendly, affordable, and provide quality service. My car has never been happier:) I will use them for all my car needs in the future.

Powell's Service Center is very professional and Bill takes care of you in a timely fashion. I highly recommend you going to his place for all your auto needs. Reliable, smart, hardworking, and above all trustworthy. I WILL RECOMMEND TO ALL MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!

Great service and always gives it to you straight. Consistently quotes jobs much lower than other local garages. I am a relatively new customer of 2-3 years but will remain loyal as long as the building stands.

Excellent service! Got me in quickly for emissions and inspection. We hung out at the shop while it was done and had a nice chat with the owner. This is where we ll be going for our car maintance needs from now on!

Bill is an HONEST mechanic who was available at the last minute for an inspection. I will definitely do future business with him over my dealership. He is close to home and efficient with repairs.

38 years, 14 different vehicles and raised two children. Best place if your concern is safety.Never had to worry if the job was done correct - it was or Bill would not work on your vehicle. Affordable and Friendly.

I've been dealing with Bill for more years than I care to admit. Always fair with his work estimates and pricing. The repair work that he recommends is what is needed - no unnecessary work.

Always a great experience at Powell's, he is very fair in terms of looking out for your interests prior to doing work and is very upfront with pricing. I continue to go back and refer friends to him as well.
