Jimmy Bach was fantastic to work with in purchasing my new car! He was very responsive and easy to communicate with, which was especially important for an out of state purchase. Everything was expected upon arrival and there was no pressure to upsell. Other staff members were also very friendly.

The staff is very friendly, and service was thorough. Everything was simple - from scheduling online to being guided throughout the whole process. The costs were on the high side, which is understandable, but my wallet wasn't very pleased with me.

Mike Vokes did a great job facilitating the deal over the phone and email for my 2023 GTI. Able to work out all the pricing details ahead of time and everything was honored upon arrival. Mike always answered any questions I had at any time of day and buying process was great as well. Glad to work with an honest, transparent dealership selling a hard to find car for sticker price in this market. Many other dealers added markup or sold for sticker, but long wait time and low trade-in value, but not Hillcrest. We need more dealers like this and I highly recommend Hillcrest VW. I drove 2.5 hours to do business with them, and it was well worth the drive. Thank you!

They do a good job but are very slow at everything they do. I came here for them to read my check engine light and it took almost 2 hours. I was also here a separate time for an inspection which also took 2 hours. Every-time Im here I have to make sure I don t have anything else going on the rest of the day because I never know how long I m going to be waiting.

Hillcrest continues to work with me on a new car that is causing quite a bit of frustration for me. They continue to show me that they are willing to continue to diagnose my vehicle although previous repairs have not resulted in a fix.

Their flexibility with me being able to drop the car off several days before my appointment and picking it up several days after completion. I don't live near their dealer, but it's always worth the trip.

Very low miles had to take in for inspection and emissions was told 1.5 hour wait was done in an hour. Great service with explanation of services done.

So I emailed them from their site and never hear back, till I contacted them through Facebook messenger and was told they didn t see any messages from me. Then I Gave a message on Facebook messenger back with the email from the site, I sent to and my email and sent a message, saying it was either in the spam/ junk mail or the email from the site wasn t very good or reliable, then get an email saying they found my message, but unfortunately they don t work on my vehicle make..So, some of those few bad reviews, would be accurate then and seem odd they would find my message after I gave a message about their site and had to give my email and tell them where to check for the email..

So.... Let's begin at the top! First off, my only reason for coming to this dealership was due to availability of a part. Needed a coil spring replaced for inspection. THAT WAS ALL! Literally the only other issue had was we needed a cornering bulb replaced on the passenger side, which wasn't required for inspection. (Vehicle onboard diagnostics informed me of the SINGLE bulb) All other lights worked flawlessly as the inspection was just 6 days before.When arriving for the scheduled appointment for the coil spring, we asked for them to replace the bulb as well. They said "no problem". When they pulled the vehicle inside, we went outside and noticed the mechanic removing the TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLIES! We quickly informed him that the bulb in question was a FRONT PASSENGER CORNERING LIGHT. He mumbled something and replaced the assembly.After waiting a reasonable amount of time, a female employee approached us and attempted to tell us that NOT ONE but BOTH cornering lights were out and they'd gladly replace them for $139! That's an astronomical price for two luxury bulbs, let alone the fact that we knew we only needed one! We politely said, "No thanks".Fast forward to completion and there are more suprises... (eye roll)It was now time for payment and the woman gave us a price that was obviously marked up from the agreement upon bill, and without an upfront explanation. We inquired before paying and was told that it was a 'diagnostic charge' for running their diagnostics tools on the vehicle for SINGLE bulb that they DID NOT replace! We called her out on it and she rudely stated, "Fine, I'll remove it but it should have been $100 and I was only charging you $50!" We declined to respond and waited quietly until the correction was made and payment was rendered.Upon starting the vehicle, we were greeted with a new diagnostic message that now both lights were out! Funny how we pulled in with only one out tho, right? Next, we went over the bill and service paperwork and noticed it said that our REAR TAILLIGHT ASSEMBLY was listed as broken! Guess what? It wasn't that way when it entered! Furthermore, it was not mentioned at all! And the mechanic was seen taking it apart when he had no business touching it!Needless to say but, we are very unhappy with the poor service and shady tactics being used by this business and will not be going there ever again!

I have a 1983 Rabbit GTI and needed major engine work with a new head replacement. Randy and his team of mechanics went above and beyond to repair and rebuild my vintage engine. Not too many are willing to work on vintage vehicles. The work and professionalism is above my expectations. They also took care in keeping my car from harms way while being worked on. You guys are the best and will return for sure!

Wayne, Nino, and Bob are the best and Amanda in the service department always greets with a smile! I m extremely disappointed in this particular location and unfortunately, this is the closest location to me. It is a four hour drive, just in travel to have my vehicle serviced, so needless to say, I want to have everything taken care of at once. At the time I scheduled my last service, I also noted that I wanted the eye glass holder repaired as it is broken and quite honestly causes a blind spot and is a hazard. Well, I arrive for my appointment and they don t have the part to repair the eye glass holder. What would have been great is had they called me in the nearly two weeks in between to tell me this so I could have rescheduled my appointment for a later time when they would have been prepared to provide the full service. I really don t want to spend my hard earned and very limited vacation days and driving four plus hours at a vehicle repair shop. The lack of customer service is extremely unfortunate. When I called, I was told the parts department didn t know my address to realize I was coming from such a distance. I think whether you live near or far, people should do the right thing and give someone the option to make it a one stop visit.

From end to end, we had an excellent experience in working with Jimmy Bachenheimer and the team at Hillcrest VW. Jimmy really worked hard to get us the car we wanted and managed to do it against the deadline of VW's special financing offer. We got a great car at a great price, all in the span of four days!

Service was excellent, always is, but my car came back home with a quarter size dent on the trunk, and can t even see what happened because the technicians unplugged my vehicles cameras when it was taken into the bay.

Didn t purchase a car from here but was immediately turned off that the person that called me back after an internet inquiry told me they couldn t come down on the price because they had only had it for a couple weeks. The thing is, the price history on a pubic site showed that they ve had it for 78 days. I know that car salesman already have bad reputations so having someone lie to me within the first minute of the phone call didn t make me trust the dealership as a whole.
