Great all around auto repair shop for your classic, daily driver or hot rod. Very friendly group that explain any issues on your ride before they become problems. Pricing is fair, a nice clean waiting area, local garage feel. What more can I say other than I would definitely recommend!

I recently had body kit modifications performed by Rippin Rides on my 2011 MX-5 SE. Both the front S2 Racing Bumper with lip spoiler and the rear Ducktail Spoiler work were performed by Todd and his team with an impressive level of precision and detail for a reasonable cost. I would highly recommend Rippin Rides to anyone needing this kind of work.

I had my ignition interlock device removed, and they did the job quickly . . . And it was a fair price to what I thought it was going to be originally!!! Truth is several months ago they lost my business, and I started taking my car to a different garage to get my monthly calibrations for the interlock device! However, after I m assuming whom was a manager called me to see what happened . . . I started taking my car back there again! This gentleman won me over, and as I said . . . I started going back to Rippin Rides again! They ve been excellent ever since! Not that they were ever bad, but I had a disagreement with a worker about a price of a service I was going to need . . . I thought it was CRAZY, and we got into an argument over it! That s why I originally left! I was able to explain this to the gentleman who called me, and he actually for the most part . . . Agreed with me! So, moving forward, I d recommend this business to anyone!!! Thank you Rippin Rides!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

I work very close to this garage and for convenience, but also to support other local businesses, I reached out to them to simply replace my inspection & emission stickers because I had my windshield replaced else where. The gentleman I spoke with on the phone told me to come over on my lunch break. I mentioned that I could come immediately and he said it was ok to come right over. It should take 15 minutes. When I arrived, less than 5 minutes later, that person had to be hunted down and then acted as if I was inconveniencing him. I actually heard him through the wall telling his colleague to "...hurry up and get her out of here". The sad part is that the remainder of the staff was kind and friendly. Unfortunately, one bad egg ruined the chance of my return business as well as recommending them to others. Ironically, I am in the market for a new garage to service my car as the one I usually go to just closed down permanently. This place will not be on my list of replacements.

Took my vehicle here for a second opinion pre inspection. They were 100% up front and honest with any and all repairs needed.The previous company tried to cheat my family for over $1000 saying my car required repairs just to pass inspection.So glad I followed my gut and tried Rippin Rides! They will be our future car repair and maintenance shop!!! Finally a shop with INTEGRITY! Second visit and they were great both times. Bought a 2019 Subaru sti, I have been using rippin rides for anything I need that isn t covered by the dealership. They have been fast, courteous, and do excellent work. Highly recommend.

I just moved to PA from MD and had to get my cars inspected for mechanical and emissions. They did both inspections on my wife's Mini for a very reasonable price and even told me that they offer a discount for paying in cash or by check which they did not have to do. They provided the stickers and documents I needed and made everything very easy. My wife had just had her car serviced at the dealer last month and I appreciated that they did not try to "find" items needing repair. Would recommend.

I will probably not go back to them. In order to pass inspection they had to do rotor resurfacing on the front. They told me it will take "a little over an hour".I waited there for 2 1/2 hours, and had to have staff go back there to check on the status of my car. John, the guy who handled the front desk even argued with me and was kind of rude and said that he said it "would take at least an hour or more", but he did not say that. I could've walked home and gotten a ride back had I known it takes that long. A good friend of mine who is very familiar with cars said it only takes about half an hour for each rotor. When I asked the mechanic there, he said the rotors were really bad. But I hardly had any of the signs that appear with rotor wear and tear, like pulsating and such when breaking. Anyways, the mechanic, a young guy, was actually very nice and apologized. Nevertheless, I only went there because my highly valued car mechanic, Miller Automotives, has moved out of town.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Auto emissions testing

UPDATED and ADDITIONAL REVIEW:EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!! More than fair rates. My first experience with Rippin' Rides was a year ago when my wife's 2014 Jetta broke down in front of the garage. They were closed, and we had a tow on the way. Todd, the owner, happened to be leaving and called his mechanic back to take a look. More recently I took my 2013 Ford Explorer Sport in, for what I thought was just a spark-plug issue. Unfortunately it was a little more than that. Timing belt had slipped. Chris showed me all of the codes, and explained everything to me, before they did any work. He kept me up to date on the work being done, and even brought me in to show and explain everything to me.I don't usually give big reviews, but these guys deserve it.If you're tired of the "stealerships" and are looking for a trustworthy, customer-service oriented, hometown garage, Rippin' Rides is where you need to go!! Tell 'em Scott sent you! (this review is an unpaid, true customer, review. LOL)UPDATE: Chris recently called me to see how my truck was running since the repair. First "just checking in" call I've ever had from a garage. Again, great customer service.NEW REPAIR: 2/2/2022 - One of my exhaust flex-pipes broke, on my way to work. Drove straight to Rippin' Rides. Chris put it right on the lift to confirm. They got the parts ordered, had me come back in on Monday, I was in and out in about an hour (probably would have been quicker if the parts delivery wasn't running late). Prices were more than fair and the service was quick. Rippin' Rides makes getting repairs done a little less painful!!Services: Exhaust, Engine repair

Rippin Rides has provided me with the best experience i ve had so far in Harrisburg! They are my service center for my intoxaloc device. The young lady at the counter (forgive me for forgetting her name) always greets me with a lovely smile and services my intoxaloc quickly and efficiently. Im over the moon happy with my experience and would not consider taking my car anywhere else :)

Honest mechanics! They came to me with only 2 issues for my safety inspection; originally I thought they might be getting over on me so I asked what the problems were with the parts they said needed fixed. Instead of just telling me, they invited me to look while the car was in the air. Sure enough my wheel was not tight because of a bearing and caused my brake part to wear out. They showed me what caused the damage and what to do to fix it right. I've never had a repair shop show me, other places would make me take their word. Thanks guys, I truly appreciate your honesty.

Great, professional, quality service. Large, clean, safe and accommodating waiting area. On time and the staff and management personnel are so very kind. The price is right. This is my garage for now on for as long as I live in the area. Highly recommended.

NEVER take your car here unless you want to get scammed out of money and still have the same issues as when you took it!!! They don t update you about what s going on with your car unless YOU call them. Terrible service and terrible communication. DO NOT take your car here if you are looking to actually get it fixed. They also will hold onto your car for a week and not call you to tell you that it s ready to be picked up. Save your money and time by taking your car to a different auto shop!!!

Rippin Rides lol more like RIP OFF RIDES these people have no idea what they are doing , i took my car here as a last resort and to be honest i would ve made out better if i tried fixing it myself. my car runs worse then before i took it to them not to mention the huge dent on my door that they would not admit to and of course to ramp up business they insisted i stop over for them to get the dent out , i would not let anyone at this shop touch my vehicles ever again especially not a European car. i will be sending them the bill for my repairs from A DIFFERENT SHOP because they were too lazy to do it the first time. terrible business practices on their behalf

TERRIBLE AUTO SHOP!!!! DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! You will regret it if you do!!!! HORRIBLE service and communication. They should be called RIP OFF RIDES. Not rippin rides. You are better off repairing your car yourself or taking your business elsewhere!
