Monday morning I called in stating my tire was flat and I didn t know if it needed replaced or if it could be patched. As a women taking a vehicle to a garage, many of them think we don t know about cars and will try to make more than needed. I can tell you this is not one of those garages. They were able to get me in Tuesday morning and patched where there was a nail. They were very nice, polite and professional. It was my first time using this garage and I will continue using them and recommend others to as well. Thank you for great service and professionalism!Service: Tires

We had a car that's been sitting with an issue we couldn't figure out for over three years. Took it to our usual mechanic who had it for two months and didn't touch it at all. Kumpfs took it with no issues, kept us updated throughout the entire week and got her back to us in very little time at all! Great guys and great service!

Went for a state inspection and oil change. My car passed inspection, but Dave helped me decide whether or not to do a CV boot replacement and explained my options. He wasn't pushy at all, but gave helpful information and let me make the decision. We ended up replacing the boot and he had it done before the end of the day. Fast service, fair prices, honest and kind people. I will definitely be back again when I need any auto work done.Service: Oil change

This place has treated me well and their prices are fair. Rick and team are so nice and understanding. I have taken multiple vehicles here and always have a great experience. For a pleasant shop experience, I recommend going to Kumpfs 100%

I had a great experience with Kumpfs Auto Repair! As a first time customer, I felt comfortable and confident that I was receiving the best and most appropriate service for my vehicle. For what is normally a very stressful experience for me (going to the mechanic), this was the opposite! Will definitely be returning for all my future car needs.

This service station is located in New Cumberland Pa and is a very honest place to do business. Unfortunately he was not able to do the repairs I needed, he didn't charge us for checking out the problem and made a list of exactly what we need to get it fixed right. Very knowledgeable and polite. Clean shop.

Friendly, Competent, Reliable, Honest, Reasonably Priced, Fast Auto Repair ServiceAccommodation of my need for quick repair of an exhaust system leak and completion of a few regular maintenance items was very much appreciated! I really appreciate the way this repair service doesn't structure unrequested work into repair bills, always checks in with me before doing recommended work, and keeps me advised ahead of time about maintenance that will need to be done in the near future. I've been a customer for 15 years and am always pleased with the service I receive at Kumpfs.

I called Rick from Kumpfs auto on a Monday morning thinking the worst. The clutch on my car wouldn t engage and it was my only way to and from work. Rick was kind and knowledgeable, and told me if I can get it to him, he ll get it sorted. These days everything takes 2 weeks to even get moving, but I got my car to Rick on 9/17 and it was ready on 9/17. Rick communicated with me every step of the way and the pricing was more than fair. Probably the nicest guy in the industry that I ve talked to. Thanks Rick and Kumpfs auto. If you need a repair, even if they aren t the closest, its worth it.Service: Transmission

Since moving to New Cumberland in 2018, we've had all our (4) cars serviced and repaired at Kumpf's - after a referral from a local business owner I know.From inspection to oil change to repairs, they're always prompt, accurate and at fair prices.I recently brought them a car that had been 'fixed' at another place after a fender bender (insurance company's choice, not mine) but still had a problem. They not only quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it, but also clearly noted the problem on my invoice so I could make a claim with my insurance.These guys really know their stuff. These guys are some of the best guys I've ever had do car work for us. We drove to PA from OH for family issues. Our van was having an immense amount of trouble. After taking it to a place on the Carlisle Pike, I won't name them, we took the Van to Kumpfs. Best decision ever. Extremely fair prices and completely understanding mechanics and workers. I extremely recommend them. For a first and second opinion.

I called yesterday to have my brakes looked at. They were able to schedule me for today, which was so quick. They did a thorough review of my car and ultimately said my brakes are good for another 6 months. I really appreciate that they didn t charge me for services I don t need. I was told by another chain auto center that my car did not pass inspection, due to a blown steering box. $1500.00.I was told by a few people to get a second opinion and someone referred Kumpf's. I called and was greeted nicely, told them my issue and was told to bring my car in. Low and behold I got a call that my car didn't need the work done and my car passed inspection.I will continue to take my car here and also will recommend all my friends and family to go here as well.thank you for not taking advantage!

I was able to drop my truck off for inspection and emissions. I was in a bind and it was really nice to not get an attitude for not having an appointment. I was pleased overall with my service there and will definitely be bringing my vehicle back when needed. Prices are reasonable aswell. I recommend this business to others.If you are like me, I value information in a review to make my own star rating. This allows others to come to an informed conclusion.My vehicle required service. My vehicle went in to have the power steering fixed and the four-wheel-drive looked at. Turned in to a much bigger job than I initially thought it was going to be. However, Rick kept in constant communication with me. Gave me all of my options and together we decided what the best route would be. These guys aren't here just to make a buck and shove you out the door. They genuinely care about their customers. Would recommend this shop to anybody who is looking for quality work at a fair price

Since moving to PA from NY I haven't found an auto repair shop like Kumpfs. The customer service was awesome. They actually listened to me took the time to go through different tires that would work for me and I have an appointment set up to get them. I went there for an oil change and left feeling like I finally found that life time auto repair shop I have been looking for. Great place and great workers!

I have been going to Kumpf s auto for over 15 years and words can t express how good it feels to have a great relationship with this garage and the individuals staffed in it. Dave the owner has worked on the vehicles I;ve owned for various issues, he and his staff have been awesome. The pricing on work and quality and professionalism they provide as well as knowledge is priceless. Anyone looking for a garage like this needs to check out Kumpf s auto and talk to Rick to schedule and appointment to have your vehicle serviced. Trust me you won t be disappointed.

Another excellent experience in a not so great moment in my car life. As we all have experienced the dreaded car maintenance issues when you can least afford it. Well Kumpf's Auto turned my stress around and patched me up with great concern for my safety as well as my wallet. They have really been a great choice in taking care of my cars. Thanks to all the people that sent me their recommendations on Neighborhood website, you were right and they are partner in getting my old cars on the road without nickle and diming me.

Needed some major work and was recommended by another mechanic. They were very professional and work performed was very satisfactory, especially after a issue when getting my vehicle back. I went over with the problem and they took my truck in right away and rectified the problem and my truck has running perfect since. Would recomment Kumpfs for all repairs.

Excellent service! I wound up at Kumpf's after my previous mechanic did some sloppy work that led to a brake line needing to be repaired in my car. I discovered that mechanic is now out of business and on a whim decided to have my car towed to Kumpf's instead, and I'm glad I did! Their turnaround time was excellent and they were wonderful to work with. I'll be taking my car here from now on and am very glad to have found this mechanic.

Kumpf's shop is an honest, fairly priced, high quality auto shop. I've been going to them for 10 years and have never had any issues with any of their work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs to get some work done.

I can't say enough about how great it is to have a garage around town that does this quality of work. If you're looking for good quality work at fair prices, look no further than this place. These folks are friendly, knowledgable, and dedicated to your best servise. I worked early years in my fathers garage. Pop was a problem solver for GM, Ford and others. We had a strange noise while driving on 81S. Called and were told us to come over. Don diagnosed the issue, which was serious, and fixed it all on his own lunch time so we could continue our holiday with full confidence. Thank you. A1.Cannot recommend them more.

I called to see if they could fit me in on short notice and the associate was very friendly over the phone. They did not make any promises that they could get my car fixed in one day but they said they would try. They called me a few hours later and I picked up my car. They did not try to sell me parts I did not need. They were fair and honest. Will return if needed in the future.

Labor and service were good. The parts mark up was outrageous. To be clear a $65 (NAPA) tailpipe I was charged $162, and a $195 muffler i was charged $365. Don't mind an upcharge but no one enjoys being ripped off.Will not be back.Service: ExhaustService: Exhaust

My family and I have been coming here for over 20 years. They are always quick, professional and do not over charge you.
