I'm really glad I found this place. After I moved to Sullivan County three years ago, finding a good mechanic was at the top of my list. Wilcox Automotive has always done a great job on my vehicles, the price for the work has been very reasonable. I'll a return customer for a long time.

Called to order motorcycle tires, and he told me he'd get them ordered. Called a week later. He hadn't. He told me he'd call me in another week to set up when I could bring my bike in, and 4 months later, I still haven't gotten a call. Went elsewhere for tires.

We recently moved to New Albany. And on Christmas EVE as we were heading down to visit family. "Nobody "was open. After trying 5 other places we stopped at Wilcox's. They were closed to,almost cried. I bit the bullet and walked up to the house. Long story short these folks came out and helped us! They took amazing care of us! They are our mechanics for life! Amazing, above and beyond. Best place my husband and I have "ever" been. Merry Christmas to the entire family. You are truly one of a kind

So after (10 months) of Wilcox Automotive working on my truck and seeing repeated customer come back with the same vehicles they finally inspect it. After I got it home I realized why customers keep going back. First I find that my choke still doesn't work, my truck still runs rich on gas, my seat belts were not attached what so ever! Yes my seat belts where only for show I guess. All witch was part of the list of things to be completed! Wilcox Garage said sorry that it shouldn't of left the garage like that but it was inspected and released! So I fixed the seat belts. Good thing I didnt have an accident on my way home. Guess when they took it for a test drive to New Albany they wernt using them... So I got a little driving in with it. Monday I decided to take the truck to work. On my way home I get to dushore and feel a vibration and slam, my truck hits the ground and I watch my tire fly across the road and smack a tree and bounce back. Thank goodness no one was coming or any houses where near or the fact that I wasnt going fast and was able to keep control! Found that all 8 of my lug nuts came off. I messaged Wilcox Garage and got no are you ok but that it states on the work order to retorque at 50 miles. I asked if the work order states to bolt seat belts in as well. Was told nothing there about seat belts. Later i got my tractor stuck and thought "Yes, I finally can pull somthing with my truck"So I drove the truck down into the yard and hooked up to my tractor. I gave it a pull with my truck but it spun. So I got out and locked the hubs in and put it in 4 wheel drive and gave it another pull. It spun? Come to find out that my 4 wheel drive that Wilcox Automotive rebuild does not work! All most every thing that I had Wilcox Automotive do on my truck doesn't work!! I messaged them but no response.I highly dont recommend taking your vehicle to Wilcox Garage unless you want to be a frequent customer and still end up with problems!

You know, it's never a "pleasant" experience having to get one's vehicle inspected here in Pennsylvania. But it's especially sad and disheartening and downright angering when a business grossly overcharges you at every corner and also has the guff to lie to your face about how much factory and aftermarket vehicle parts cost. Among MANY other things...when a so-called professional mechanic tells you to your face that just to order a part will cost you $800+ dollars, their incredibly titled "best price" (let alone the labor and installation and God only know's what else they'll tack on while you're not looking...or right to your face for that matter), but then you can find the EXACT SAME part for $287 brand new...including shipping to their door...something is dreadfully wrong. And few things can dampen one's faith in humanity when perfectly serviceable parts of the same type can be found for little over $100 at locally sourced scrap/salvage yards. I can't think of anything other than greed and perhaps downright malice that would make someone try to cheat and lie and downright hurt their fellow citizens by eagerly and boldly engaging in such reprehensibly dishonest business practices. It's theft.Like I said: Getting your vehicle inspected as required by state law is never something I, nor anyone I know might look forward to, but there's inspecting a vehicle like ever-so-many decent and hard working and law abiding mechanics do every day. And then there's utter dishonesty in trying to soak everyone who passes their threshold for everything they have, and then lying to their face about it. Using the color of law and their license to inspect as a moneymaking instrument to screw their fellow Americans. Using the law that requires annual vehicle safety inspections as a huckster-ish means to line their pockets. My experience with this business was dreadful and depressing and deceitful. Don't get cheated, go somewhere else. Hopefully somewhere fraud isn't the totality of the business.
