Liars Cheats and Thieves !!! They hooked a chain to my truck and dragged it 6 feet then charged me $2500.00 !!! 10 minutes later !!!!I was caught on my landing gear at Sam s Club truck entry, the police called them, not me, so I felt safe using them. But, When I repeatedly asked for a pricing schedule they repeatedly refused to produce one. When I refused to pay until they demonstrated this was their standard rates and not just a random Price gouge rip off number they got pushy and mouthy with every type of foul language and started to try and tow my truck away.I called the police but they had already beat me to it. When the police arrived one second later, it was the same ones that called these shady skumbags in the first place Police simply informed me that they would arrest me if I didn t pay them immediately as per PA law. (There s no such law you cannot be arrested for unpaid debt especially without an agreement) So I quit as soon as I knew i was royally screwed and paid.Taking advantage of people in distress is one of the most vile wretched low down worthless wimpy greedy skum things a person can do. Not even a speck of moral character here. Don t let them pull the same scam on you.

They are very professional and respectful, their mechanics are highly trained, they work fast, they are a good ally when you have problems in that area.

Don t use their service. They are scammers. They only start working without giving a quote first and then they make some stupid charges apart from that they are abusive and they are not professionals to work. They also made racist comments to me for speaking Spanish. If you need a service, look for another place, not for them.

Beware of ACT Towing in Mountain Top, PA! Last month I was stranded with a broken flywheel about three hours from home. To their credit and the only positive about the experience was that they were professional in towing my truck and trailer off the highway. If you find yourself in a similar situation have them tow you to another shop for repairs. No estimate was ever given, shop rate not clearly posted. Had to drive back to pick up truck and trailer after they said it was done. $2500 for repair which was a bit steep but not crazy. The main concern was that by the time I got my truck home the transmission was overheating. This was a new issue and I have never had any issues with this transmission, so I had to bring the truck to my trusted local shop. Found that when reinstalling the transmission they crunched trans cooling lines with their carelessness. Fingers crossed my expensive, relatively new replacement transmission is not damaged. $2500 to fix and they ended up potentially causing way more damage. On top of that they got grease on my driver s seat that literally smells like someone soiled themselves in my truck. Watch out for these hacks!Service: Special vehicle towing

ATTENTION, ATTENTIONDo not even call them unprofessional, rude people.They charge us almost for 20 000$ for 10 miles towing, when we call them they said that it'll cost us 750$ per hour and they worked 3-4 hours max!!SPAM SPAMRIP OFF

Not recommended, not professional and by the looks of it we were the only tricked by getting serviced by them. There s no actual prices Paul goes by whatever he feels like it. He hung up the phone 3 times while yelling at me when I was asking to clarify the invoice and sent a tow truck when we didn t need to have this service because he said we were disputing the invoice. We never mentioned that we weren t going to pay. Stay away from this so call company.

I had a blow out on an enclosed trailer on I-81. George and his son were absolutely great. They are professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. When it came time for the bill, they were fair and did not take advantage of an out of towner. My mom and I were in the car, and one of the towing trucks comes ripping past us, almost side swept out door. The truck then continues to drive close to 80 mph, passing people on the inside, causing nearly 3 accidents while doing so. As the truck did this, it started to wobble and almost hit another car in front of them. Way to keep a helping business when nearly killing off your customers. How can someone trust this company with their car if they can t even drive one safely?

This place is one of the worst shops you can fix your shop at, super dishonest and unprofessional. They will rip you off. Don t expect your truck to be fixed anytime soon. They told me it was going to take few 4-5 hours to to fix the truck and it took 3 days. They charged me 5000$ for change water pump and when I asked why they were charging me so much money, the owner said it s my shop my rules . They seem nice on the phone and that s when you make mistake. They are worst shop and Just horrible people. Don t make mistake and don t go here or you will regret it.

We got stranded at M/M 158 on I-81 South and after waiting patiently for Good Sam to come to our aid, we made one call to a repair service and was told to call ACT. Within 10 minutes, someone was at our RV assessing the problem. Unfortunately for us, the repair took 5 days to complete. As most people know, parts are not readily available. George and his crew were the greatest! No, it wasn t the Hilton but everyone there made us feel at home. If you are traveling along I-81 and need help, do not hesitate to call ACT Towing and Recovery. They know their stuff!!

Ran into these guys at a truck stop.....had a small electrical problem was missing some tools that i had left at home had no problem in giving me a hand definitely will be calling you guys if i have break down issues.....10/10 customer service thanks guys.Services: Local hauling, BatteryServices: Local hauling, Battery

Had a truck burn up the starter nearby they were right on it getting a wrecker there and hauling the truck to there garage. Called and apologized about not being able to get the starter till the next morning from the Western Star Dealer. Gave the driver a ride to a nearby hotel for the night. Called and told us they would get right on the truck as soon as the starter came in. Great customer service and good service all around!!! Highly recommend these guys.

Two of my guys were coming back from a job site and the diesel pickup truck they were driving started acting up. Even though they are a semi-truck garage, the guys at ACT changed the fuel filter and got them going on there way home. They even stayed after hours. Thank-you ACT Towing!!

Picked up a couple pieces of equipment from here that had been in an accident, the guys couldn't have been more helpful. Should I need a tow from that area I would absolutely call them.
