The house is an amazing place to stay. There is plenty of room and a very comfortable place to stay. Great for families or groups to room. Great slots for campers. The ponds are great for the kids to fish. The staff are friendly and very helpful. The little cafe is a nice touch. Location is easy to get to, and the countryside is beautiful.

Stayed in the Gray House. It was a nice place to stay. Well heated, Wi-Fi, Roku TV, Well stocked kitchen (pots/pans/plates/silverware). Renter was very responsive to questions I had, both before arriving and after I got there. Would definitely recommend it, especially if you are needing something for a large family gathering. Weather did not permit enjoying too much of the outside, but there is a fire ring and a good sized back porch available.Rooms: Plenty of bedrooms!

We booked a last minute cabin while on a hiking weekend, and it was absolutely perfect! We checked in pretty late, but were greeted and given the walk through. The bathrooms were clean, the cabin well air conditioned, and the bed was much much better than our sleeping bags, especially on the rainy weekend. It was a beautiful place, and we'd love to be back.

Stayed here for two nights. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in a deluxe cabin which was very cozy and comfy. I wish the bed was a bit firmer but was still okay. The pool was very clean and offered a refreshing dip. Check out was quick and easy. I will certainly be coming back to this neat and friendly site.Rooms: Stayed in a deluxe cabin. Very cozy, comfy.Nearby activities: Plenty of nearby places for activities and touring.

We had a great time camping at HVCR. The people were very friendly. The campground is very well kept. The bigger pool was really nice. The sites were big enough to easily back in and put out. The bath house was updated n very clean. Both of our families plan on going back.Nearby activities: The old mill creamery was just down the road. A definite must stop for the best ice cream and fresh made cones.

We read a lot of reviews before coming here, some of which mentioned the golf carts and rude seasonal campers. I would like to go on record stating that was NOT our experience at all! Are there a lot of golf carts? Yes, it's a huge place! If you're full-time, you are going to need one or you best be up for walking... because if the golf carts annoy you, imagine them being automobiles! The golf cart folks were VERY friendly! Just about everyone who drove past us waved and said hello! They obeyed the speed limit. We felt VERY welcomed! So I am going to guess that those who had negative experiences either needed something to complain about or they just got back the same energy they put out. We were there for the fireworks, which were EXCEPTIONAL for a private display. They were beautiful! And they lasted pretty close to a half hour! Our site, 408, was nice and level and well covered in gravel, which was most welcome considering it rained a good bit during our stay. We had no mud on our site due to the gravel. We prefer the gravel sites. If you're one who likes a grassy site, they have those too. The pools were clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly. Check-in was very efficient as we used the online system. We had a great experience and have already re-booked for the fireworks weekend next year (2024).Nearby activities: There are a lot of discount grocery stores, greenhouses and farmer's markets in the area! If that interests you, be sure to check them out!

We stayed in one of the four basic cabins for 3 nights. The bed in the cabin was hard as a rock, my fianc and I actually had to go out and buy a cheap mattress topper just to be able to sleep on it but it still messed our backs up pretty badly. The one perk about the cabin was the AC window unit which worked great. The bathrooms behind the cabin got worse and worse every day, it seems that they are not cleaned regularly or if they are it isn t a good job. The showers in the bathhouse weren t that bad though. I also had a cup of coffee from the general store that made me extremely sick afterwards so I don t recommend that. Otherwise, the location was great and close to some nice hiking areas.

I visited briefly to pick up my daughter who was staying the weekend with friends who have a seasonal site. The campground felt huge (and I got lost trying to find the site that I was looking for and ended up looping around the entire place before getting back to the start where I needed to go.The 2 ponds were nice on the way in, and the friends with the seasonal site really enjoy their time there.Having just purchased a camper this year, Hidden Valley will definitely be on the list of places to check out.

Beware this campground at first they are nice but mostly not and I mean management. We have stayed at this campground 2 times now first time someone took our wood from our spot but someone gaves us more ok it happens but now the 2nd time we stayed with them not long ago at all not nice at all. The spot was very nice bathrooms could use some work. The reason why we will never go back is so many golf carts flying up and down road nothing said to them but OMG we are in a meam small rv like a van and we are going very slow just creeping along my husband has foot on a break all the way almost so we didn't go over speed limit cuz we've camped in many places never had a problem. Now comes our second night and we had a guy stop us saying that we were going way too fast that they had many complaints whichI don't understand how. We had golf carts flying around us so no we where not. I get the option they only really like their seasonal or slash permanent sites they have cuz it doesn't seem like they're nice in general to anyone else. I hope if you go you have a nicer time then us. We have found better spots around.

This is a full service campground with plenty of family activities to keep you entertained. However, if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful weekend getaway in nature, choose elsewhere. Music from a very loud hard rock band was amplified through the park until 10:30pm followed by a parade of noisy golf carts returning to their sites.Nearby activities: Nice hiking trails nearby ar RB Winter State Park

We stayed in a cabin over the weekend and the cabin was nice. The only thing I have to complain about is the mattress on the bed. If you have a bad back, it was not that great. Other than that, the place was clean when we got there and the campground was really nice. While I was there, I ended up purchasing a camp trailer that was for sale so I'm really excited to start going there.Walkability: Great place to get your exercise in everyday.

This campground is listed as a "resort"; however, it is lacking maintenance.....one of the pools was broken, paddle boat was broken, the mini golf area was in need of basic maintenance (carpets were worn and moldy looking- not counting the lack of imagination for the course). The customer service lacked attention to details. The seasonal campers were packed in like sardines. By Saturday, the dumpsters were overloaded. Then to top off things, they ran out of ice Monday morning on a holiday weekend. Would not recommend this campground.

No one was welcoming or nice. Our kids was yelled at multiple time even when adult was present with them at the bathroom. The shower house was gross. There was no water at the baseball field for tenters. No sites marked or set up for tenters. No level ground cleared for tents to be set up. The pool didn't open till noon ruining the whole morning. Never to return to this campground

We are weekenders, and while the campground is nice, those who live there through the season are not welcoming. Weekenders are often treated as a nousience rather than fellow campers. Cottages need some updates and this year there was a terrible fly problem. At the end of the day, it's a nice place to be, just wish little details weren't missed.

This place is not for weekend campers. They don't want you there. Water was contaminated and we were NEVER told at check in, it was written small on one of the papers they hand out with activities on it. My son was yelled at for riding his back AT OUR SITE after dark when he has more lights on it that any golf cart did. The security guard was less than pleasant. If you enjoy a nice campground and not hassles this one is not recommended at all.

Stayed at this Campground for 2 nights over the weekend. I would NOT recommend this campground to anyone that camps on the weekend and is not a permanent site camper.Negatives:1. The water was contaminated and we were told to boil the water. As per the permanents this is normal!2. There was no one in the office when we arrived at 7:30pm to help us.3. My 11 year old nephew was followed and told that he is not allowed to ride his bike after dark even though he was riding in our campsite.4. Golf carts were none stop all night and causing large amount of dust.5. **While we were getting ready to leave and cleaning our camper inside the water was shutoff. We called the office and they stated "We will looking it" within 5 minutes the water was back on. We believe they shutoff the water on us to get us to leave. None of the permanents were affected!6. All the electrical outlets are exposed with no covers. In a short story, I would not recommend this campground if you have or don't have kids. Us Weekenders are not welcome at this campground!

My husband and I booked a 4 night stay here but left after the first night. I told the owner we were leaving early and she did not question why but I wish she asked. The campground itself is okay and fairly kept up but was not what we expected. Their website talks about ponds and fishing but when we got there all they had were 3-4 algae filled "ponds" that might be okay for small children to fish in but definitely not for adults. The night we were there they had entertainment and the next day a prayer service. Our campsite was shady :) but beware that many are sunbaked. The sites are very tight, we were back to back, and very close to the sites adjacent to us. The campground appears to have many seasonal campers, perhaps more than 50% and the rest are transient sites. We purchase wood to make a campfire and so did the people behind us. The wood they sold was awful, it smoke horribly and smelled like burning fuel. We put out our fire and retreated into our camper. I would not classify this campground as a resort by any stretch of the imagination. It is fine as a one night stop over but I would never stay for any length of time.
