So far I've had a fantastic experience with McCafferty. We bought my car in April, the sales team was great to work with. We went in with our small child and they helped expedite any paperwork that I needed to sign so that I could take him home and they finished the transaction with my husband. Fast forward to now and I took it in for it's first oil change. I don't typically go to dealers for oil changes but my schedule doesn't allow me any time to do it and I was leaving to head out of town in a couple days. They scheduled me for the next day, when I walked in I was greeted immediately. They looked up my service, took my keys and had me out the door in the shuttle within 5 minutes. They dropped me off at work, called when it was completed and arranged for the shuttle to pick me up over my lunch break. Got back and they greeted me again, went over my service sheet, rang me up and I was back out the door within a few minutes. They even washed my car which it was in dire need of.

I would strongly advise anyone looking to buy a Ford to go to LB Smith Ford. I purchased a brand new Explorer (it had 4 miles on it), and while the process of buying the car was easy (if you make the poor decision to come here, use Jake Meyers from Sales, he is great), everything after this interaction was terrible. At 1,500 miles, the driver's side tail light went out. It was annoying, but we just assumed we got unlucky with the new car. I took the car in and had the service department look at it, and the car had to go back for a 2nd appointment because they had to order the part. I called in to schedule my return appointment, and after leaving 3 separate messages and never receiving a call back, I had to drive in to schedule my appointment. Ultimately, the light was replaced, and I felt good about this (thinking I wouldn't have to go through anything like that again.Within a week, I noticed that the passenger side front fender became misaligned (I have no idea how), and the car had to go back in to the body shop. This time, I had to set up a rental car, because McCafferty does not offer a loaner car (the majority of other dealerships have loaner cars). I was told that the rental would be ready for me when I dropped my car off - instead I waited 45 minutes for the rental to show up. The body work was basically done, but I requested from the Sales Manager that his team looked over every inch of the car because I wanted to make sure that I wouldn't have to bring it back in anytime soon. I specifically mentioned that I thought there was no windshield washer fluid in the car (I should have checked this myself, this will come into play later) because when I pressed the button, no fluid came out. I left in my rental car, and picked my car up later in the day. I noticed that the outside of the car was washed, but the inside wasn't touched. Not a big deal, but every other dealership that I've worked with cleans the car inside and out when it comes in for work.A week later, I noticed that the driver's side rear door was misaligned (again, no idea how this happens). I decided to try the windshield washer system, and again nothing worked. I opened the hood and saw that there was fluid in the system, but when I tried it windshield washer fluid sprayed all over the engine. I took it back in and the tech said that the system was probably broken from the start, and that he has never seen anything like that on a new car.At this point, I was incredibly frustrated. I called into the sales manager, Dave, but at this point he seemed to be pushing off my calls to other people. I had to drive in to speak with him again, and we scheduled a time for the car to come back in. Between the time I schedule my appointment and the following week, I noticed that now the driver's side front fender, the hood, and the tail gate all seemed to be misaligned. I took the car to LB Smith Ford to have someone else look at it, and they were shocked as to how a new car could look so bad.I tried dealing with Ford Corporate to get my money back, but they were no help. I spoke with the VP and General Manager of McCafferty, and they offered me a very low dollar amount to buy the car back (it would have been a $10,000 loss for me to take their offer). Eventually they increased their price, and I lost about $3,000 on the transaction, but I was glad to be done with them. I could understand them selling me a lemon and trying to make it right, but their customer service was terrible, and they made no offer to try to make us happy. I would never deal with them again, and I recommend that everyone steers clear of McCafferty.

My wife and I just bought our first brand new car from McCafferty Ford this afternoon and I have to commend Elizabeth on her ability to help us find what we want, make everything work with our budget for a new vehicle, and even keep our daughter entertained and happy as we went through the process of buying our car. We were initially there to look at an used Ford, but she was able to put us in a brand new, 2015 model for a better deal. We didn't feel pressured at any moment and Elizabeth was able to answer all of our questions with ease. She answered all of our questions, made sure we were comfortable with the purchase, and was able to work with our already busy schedule to help us get into a new car. I would recommend any of my friends and family to McCafferty and request her to get into a new car.The whole staff at McCafferty was welcoming and my family was comfortable through the entire sales process. If you're looking for a new Ford in the Mechanicsburg area, go here first and ask for Elizabeth!Thank you, my wife and I love our brand new car!

There were no huge issues. but a lot of tiny ones added up. from beginning to end nothing was ever done as they said it would be done. I should have known better when I heard there own employees complaining. I got a phone call asking about my experience after the purchase. I called back and left a message and did there little post buying experience survey online and no one ever called back. I guess my used car purchase wasn't that important. I wont be going back.

I drove over 170 miles ONE WAY to test drive a used Explorer at McCaffrey Ford. The dealer had performed necessary service on this car which was bought at auction (per CARFAX). The car showed well and drove well. It was a great car I told the salesman that I liked the car, but there was an airbag light showing on the dashboard. We agreed that he would look into it and call me the next morning; at which point I would give him my credit card over the phone to put a deposit on it. Then I drove 170+ miles back home.Next morning - no call. When I called the salesman I found out that it had been sold. Now to be fair, they did tell me that the car would not be held without a deposit. But I was expecting a call and made it clear that I would take the car if the airbag could be resolved. Net result was I wasted an entire day and a tank of gas driving to see this car and the salesman did not keep up his end of the deal.I will not be doing business with this dealership again.

Great experience at the dealer special Thanks to Kayla who made this experience a great one, she listen to what I needed and wanted and wasn't a pushy sales person. She always replied back to me and from start to after buying my Ford Escape she made it worth coming to McCafferty Ford of Mechanicsburg. Sales people like Kayla makes sure service is her number one priority.

My wife and I went in to look into leasing a new Ford about two weeks ago. It was the first time we shopped for a new vehicle in more than a decade, so we were a bit uncertain as to what to expect. The first one to greet us was Dave Talton, a saleman. Dave made the entire process seem easy. We ended up leasing a 2017 Ford Escape and we couldn't be happier. Not just with the vehicle, but with the level of care and attention we received from Dave. According to my wife, "he has a nice, warm personality." I agreed. She also mentioned that she never felt pressured at all. Since having our car, Dave has contacted us to see how things were going. In short, we both agreed that the customer service was simply outstanding. The best car-shopping experience we've had hands down.

My Ford Edge has a brake recall/extended warranty. In other words, it's a brake recall that Ford/dealership doesn't want to take care of until it fails. I call the McCafferty, they tell me as much. Don't worry about it until it is a problem they tell me. Sure enough, 2 year new vehicle the brakes go almost completely out of it.But this review is about the terrible service of McCafferty. So I call to get this recall/extended warranty taken care of. We can't do it until next week they say. So I drive around a week on barely functioning brakes. Then the appointment. I confirmed on the phone that this is for the brake recall. They told me it would take a half day at the garage. Noon on the day of service, they call and say, IT IS INDEED THE RECALL THAT NEEDS FIXED but we'll have to order the parts in. We can't do it today....... What?? I scheduled this last week. You don't have the parts?? I complain and they give me a sad story about how Ford won't let them order the parts in early. Ford won't let them return unused parts. So McCafferty's solution to this is to inconvenience the customer. If the customer complains then, then the manager will cry about their manufacturer. I brought my vehicle in with this problem and a couple other minor issues. Eventually the brake recall was fixed. They couldn't be bothered to do any adjustment on the brake pedal setting though. The other issues were either ignored or made worse by McCafferty. This is not first time the McCafferty completely wasted my time. They seem to have a nonchalant attitude about doing their job (actually fixing the problem) and not giving their customers the run around. Take your service someplace else.

You never expect to sit down with a car salesman and feel like you've been friends for years. You do, however, expect them to be knowledgeable about their products and what their company offers. Buying a car should be fun, and an easy process. Casey offers all of this! Stop in at McCafferty Ford of Mechanicsburg, Pa and ask for Casey. You will not be disappointed!

I was extremely picky in the kind of car that i wanted and the features that I needed. Once i met and talked with Dave Talton at McCafferty Ford he was more than up for the challenge of finding me exactly what i wanted. Dave was more than patient with my tall order, and after several months of searching was able to get me my Ford Edge Sport. I was so satisfied with my experience I directed my wife a year later to the dealership and within a single day they were able to help her out in a pinch.

I just like everyone else looking for a car went online to get some information I looked up ford dealerships and what cars they had I didn't see what I liked but found McCafferty Ford and saw they had great reviews so I went in worked with a sales person by the name of Casey who was able to answer every question we had. It was a great experience if you need help need a car stop by McCaffery Ford they will treat you like family and Casey will help you find what you need and make sure you are taken care of every step of the way. I would recommend Casey to everyone and I wouldn't dream of buying a car from anyone else.

I was very pleased with the service provided by McCafferty. My sales rep, Sean, was informative and helpful. I am also very appreciative of the shuttle service. The drivers were prompt and courteous -- it's like a having complimentary guided history tour built into the shuttle service!

I was completely turned off with the whole car buying experience at Mccafferty yesterday. First, this dealership kept calling and emailing me telling that they could work with me on obtaining a car of my choice with their huge selection of inventory and I was approved for financing for it. Well, yesterday I was in the position and had the time to meet with a sales and finance person.First, there was only three options for the car that I was looking for. They were overpriced with the amount of miles that had been established for them. Let me mention, I was looking at a good used 2013 model or higher Ford Escape.Anyways, I was greeted by the sales person and he did help me find a vehicle that I was somewhat satisfied with to purchase. So, we went into his cubicle to finalize the financing of it.To my surprise, I was not approved for financing like I was told through email and phone conversations. I had to go through a credit application, but he assured me that he would try to get me into that vehicle. He completed my credit application and came back to tell me that I was approved for a lower amount and he could get me into 13-year-old vehicle.Well, I told him that I was not interested in it. He told me that it would be wheels at least. Again, I told him that I was not interested. So, he scrambled back into the finance department to see what he could do as far getting me financed into that car. I thought it was odd that I never got to meet the finance manager. He comes out again and tells me he is going to walk to the other building to speak to another finance manager. Well, I was getting impatience after being at this dealership for more than hour already. So, I walk over there after some time sitting and waiting. He comes out after meeting with this finance manager and tells me that they are not going to be able to do anything with me and that their lenders would not finance me. So, I told him that appreciated his time and left.At this time, I made my mind up and went to their competition across the street from them (Brenners). Get this, I was met with a friendly and a helpful sales person. Also, I met with the finance manager directly. He got me approved for 2015 model vehicle with only 11,000 miles through B&BT. I find it odd that Mccafferty could not do this, but I don t think that they wanted to even try or want me business. Here is some advice to the owner(s) at Mccaffertys: Treat your customer s with some respect. Have your finance people meet with your customers. Take some pointers from your competition because they were busy making deals work for their customers.I am telling anyone that reads this and feeling that there is a maybe you can get a new or good used vehicle, stay away from here until they work on the things that I described above. My vehicle shopping experience started out bad with them, but it was positive experience on every aspect with Brenners.

I bought my Ford Focus here in October 2012. I had a wonderful experience. Dave Talton was an amazing salesman. He helped my husband and I through the car buying process from start to finish. He let us test drive a new and used car and explained to us the "numbers" with the purchase of the vehicle. We traded in an older car and they got us more than what we expected. Since I bought the car I have used McCafferty Ford for all of my vehicle services and they have really done a STELLAR job. I love their incentive program for oil changes. Buy 4 and get 5th one free and we would pay the same amount at any other garage to get the same service done. I had one issue with my car where the window motor broke and they fixed it for free and gave me a FREE oil change with it. I know I will never go anywhere else to buy a car again. I can not recommend McCafferty Ford and Dave Talton enough!

Completely unethical, their word means nothing. They took my deposit, then sold the vehicle to someone else the next day. Then they lied and said the vehicle was sold 2 weeks ago, the guy just didn't have the money, or any money down on the vehicle to hold it. I cannot stand dealing with a company who will look you in the eye, shake your hand, take your money, then LIE. Oh by the way, my wife just bought a car here last year. I sincerely hope you treat everyone this way, so you will go out of business and a reputable car dealership can move in.

I had to take in my Focus to get the latch on the rear seat fixed ( it had been stuck) and I was in and out of there in less than an hour. And that's including the complimentary car wash. As with everyone I have ever dealt with there, Shawn Bingaman was very friendly and helpful.

Absolutely the worst Ford deliship in the area. There surface department is so lazy they put the wrong millage on my windsheild after oil change, charged me for tire rotations and never did it. Told me I needed 2 tires for inspection got them and then they say the other two need done the charge an obsserd about for tires. The service manager is just a pawn l, nothing is ever there falt. Got to family ford. Never before have I been so disappointed with a dealership. If it wasn't for my warranty I wouldn't even bring it in for an oil change. Shady mofos in there.

I had a 2012 ford serviced and inspected there recently. They called me and said I had a razor blade in the tire. I asked some questions and each time he had to go back to the tech, one question at a time. When I picked up the car, there were a bunch of notes on the service report that the rep had not discussed with me but the service report said he did. Finally found him and he did not know how they got there. I had asked them to check out the transmission, especially when cold. The rep said he remembered me asking but did not know why it was not done. The rep told me to come back in 3 days because the transmission specialist was out.I ordered some wheels and winter tires from tire rack. Tire Rack said I had to order tpms sensors or sign a release that someone else would install them. I called the Rep at McCafferty and he told me he did not know and that I should look in the manual. He said that he could not be expected to know everything. On the internet I discovered that Tire Rack was of course correct. All cars manufactured after a certain year, 2007 I think, had to have them. Seems an expert would know that.

The best experience I've had a car dealership. The sales associate known as Casey has helped me get into a car. He's very down-to-earth I definitely recommend this to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. Casey also goes out of his way to help people. So if you're looking for a dealership come to this place.

I have no idea what the folks giving negative reviews are talking about. I have purchased my last four vehicles from McCafferty Ford and my husband has purchased his last two from the Kia division of McCafferty. All SUV's. This dealership ROCKS!!! Twice we have gone in where we have both walked out with a brand new vehicle on the same day because of an amazing deal!!!! Their facility is clean, their employees ALWAYS pleasant, and their service department has always gone above and beyond to accommodate our needs (no one else touches our cars for repairs or maintenance) I would never consider another dealership. I am just hoping and praying things don't change now that it is Fred Beans Ford Mechanicsburg. Fingers crossed!!!

We drove 3 hours to see a 2009 Chevy HHR and we were not disappointed. The HHR was serviced and detailed beyond our expectation. The final price was fair and sales rep ( Todd ) was excellent. Todd had a easy going attitude and a professional demeanor. We would definitely return to another to buy car.

My family and I drove over to this dealership to look at a 2006 f-150. The pictures online showed the truck being in great shape, well we got there and there was rust on both rear wheel wells and in one cab corner. Seriously!!? You are actually trying to sell a rusty truck for 14,000$?! So I tell the salesmen that I don't want anything with rust since a 10 year old truck I'm gonna make payments on shouldn't have rust....so he brings out another f-150 one year newer and what do ya know? Rust on both rear wheel wells. Are you kidding me?! What kinda dealership even puts rusty trucks on their lot? I absolutely don't reccomend wasting your time on this place unless your buying brand new (which they push on you heavy from the moment you arrive).

On 12/20/16 I had warranty work done that required a complete alignment when finished. Less than 90 days later my teenage daughter takes the car in for an oil change. Upon completion, the service manager, Shawn, tells her the vehicle failed their alignment check. "We can put it back in the shop and check it out" but it will take another hour and $100+. She knew better. I call and ask how that's possible. Song and dance about moving the machine to another bay, floor not completely level....blah blah blah. He's a thief! Planting seeds of doubt to get customers to have unnecessary work done! The name changed but same shady employees!!!!

I would never go there again to buy a car. Only 1 loan manager there running back and forth between their 2 dealerships. Could not get anything in writing sales rep kept saying I'll have your figures in a few minutes or shortly which turned in over an hour before we finally left - and never looked back

Exceptional Customer Experience w Ken Dean of Mccafferty Ford today 10/29/13. Ken went out of his way being his group was short handed and he personally provided a thorough quote and an interim repair of the bumper by sucking it the dent out just after he showed me to their waiting room for a cup of coffee. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes !!! This is the 2nd experience w Maccafferty and both were first rate.

Bullies. Told a 22 year old kid that the warranty was not going to be honored. That kid is now 39 and knows not to deal with this dealership or company ever again.

Although I did not buy a car there Greg was great. He did everything he could to find the right SUV for me. In the end the sales manager and I could not come together on the price. That's not Greg's fault. If you go here as for Greg.
