Called in on Thursday to Make an appointment for inspection and was told they would be able to get me in first thing Monday morning. Once I arrived I was greeted with a hello and smile. They took my name and information, I handed over the keys and came back about two hrs later. It s nice feeling your business is appreciated and they were very quick with getting me in and out. I love when I am able to get in and out of places due to only having one vehicle at this time.Great job !!

Great experience with Hampden Automotive. Took my daughters car there because I could not diagnose a noise issue. They took the car out, looked at the suspension and felt there was no issue to be addressed. They could have easily made something up and charged me and I would never have known the difference. This is an honest company; I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a mechanic/garage that is ethical.

Jamie and the team at Hampden Automotive provide some the of greatest quality and care I have ever come across when it comes to auto repairs. I bought a car that ended up needing a lot of work right away and Jamie was extremely helpful in helping me figure out what needed to be done. Not only that, but they went out of their way to serve me and help me afford the repairs that needed to be done. I never felt pressured by them or like I was being cheated at all. They were straight forward, fast, and kept their word. I had a few issues after the initial repairs but they took the car back and fixed the issues at no extra cost since it was something that they had just worked on. The has been running really well now and I m so grateful for Hampden Automotive. I HIGHLY recommend going to Hampden Automotive for any automotive needs you have. The team will not only help provide answers, but they will provide you with all the information and NOT pressure you at all. They are fair and CARE about their customers! I will be going here for YEARS to come as long as I m living in Mechanicsburg. Thank you Harpenden Automotive for your outstanding customer service and quality work.

I absolutely love this garage and the staff here! They do great work and are very friendly and accommodating. I have never had a bad experience. Today, they fit me in last minute to help me out in a jam. Highly highly recommend!!!

Have used Hampden Automotive twice in recent months (annual inspection & emissions and oil change) and both times we've found them efficient and friendly. They don't try to upsell you on services and you're in and out in as short a time as possible. Recommended!

I called in the morning after experiencing my car running hot and the temp guage in the red. They were able to get me in the same day. Jamie greeted me when I walked in, immediately took my keys and checked out my car. They filled the coolant that was over 1/2 gallon low and topped off a few other fluids. They were quick and efficient and didn't charge me for their time or the fluids they used in my car.They were kind and considerate. And we will definitely be returning for service in the future!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My state inspection had lapsed and I decided to call Hampden Automotive after I couldn't get an appointment at my usual shop. They got me in the same day and did the inspection. The owner was professional and friendly. I'll definitely remember them for any future auto repairs!

i was visiting Pennsylvania from New York and saw there was a screw in my rear tire. Oh my gosh, what to do?? i googled automotive places near by and saw that Hampden had good reviews so that is where i went. i was not disappointed. turns out, i needed a new tire which they quickly searched around for a replacement tire that was comparable to the one they were replacing. Very happy with their service and they are very nice people as well! highly recommended!Services: Tires, Auto tire replacement

James changed a headlight for me in just 5 minutes. And he didn't charge me anything! They are very fast and reliable, not to mention extremely friendly and personable. They know how to treat customers right. I highly recommend them.

I learned my lesson and will only go to Hampden Automotive now. Took my car somewhere else because I only needed an inspection. Figured it would be fine. The place said it failed and gave me the list of issues. I called Hampden Automotive to get an estimate. They were able to quote $300 less without seeing it. Wait it gets better...they put it up on the rack and James called me because everything the other business failed my car inspection for were false.I can't thank Hampden Automotive enough for being so honest and fare. They go out of their way to help customers. This was the first time here but I can quarantine you it won t be the last I dealt with Chris and he was very caring and honest. Very friendly and didn t try to charge me for something I didn t need like a lot of garages do. I HIGHLY recommend this place. You won t be sorry. When you need first class services don't hesitate at allQOur last visit was an adventure, a pulley locked up and needed replaced, it was fixed properly with a new pulley and new belts, but something was wrong, as we expected the staff and mechanics took the time and effort to figure it out and correct it for good.3rd and 4th visits... two car inspections ..First class inspection and repairs..Second Visit; The service manager took care of our Ford Edge quickly and very affordable. We had a transmission fluid leak and everybody said we may need up to $1,200 in repairs, including the Ford Dealership and NTB. But, Hampden Automotive took care of the entire problem for $300 - including factory direct parts, factory authorized transmission fluid and the mechanical labor.First Visit; The Service Manager will give you and your vehicle his total attention that gives you immediate confidence. Our battery replacement (2007 Sebring) is a lot more complicated then you think. You have to remove the drivers side tire, the wheel lining to get to the battery mounted behind the headlight, buried deep inside the automobile body, mounted to the frame. This mechanical nightmare at a dealership is about $164.00 not counting the battery. The Hampden price = total price of $-0 (free). They mounted our brand new provided battery for free. With that said, go to Hampden Automotive in Mechanicsburg and meet Jamie and let him help you save and hit the road again.

My husband is a retired state inspection mechanic. He took my 2019 Jeep here this morning for state inspection. He cleaned the windshield yesterday's and today and checked the beipers twice. This garage tore the wiper blades and told him they needed replaced. After pointing out the blades were okay this morning he was charged for new blades or the vehicle wouldn't pass. They were dishonest by tearing the blades to make a few buck! How sad and we have been satisfied customers for a few years! Not going back here due to the shabby service!!Service: Vehicle safety inspection

I called to have my brakes serviced after being told by 4 other shops that i couldn't be seen until after Christmas. I was told by Jamie that they might be able to get my car taken care of by Tuesday, which i was willing to be patient for because i know everyone is super busy! They had a cancelation and were able to get me new rotors and brakes, windshield wipers, an oil change, and a renewed state inspection the same day!i will say that Jason gave me a quote to fix everything and was off by a total of 75 cents, which is probably the most negative thing i have to say about the entire experience. they took my payment over the phone and i was able to get my car thursday night (i literally dropped it off before lunch on thursday, just a reminder)i 100% will be back if there are any more issues with my vehicle, these guys are awesome!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto brake repair, Vehicle Inspection, Brakes, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance, Oil change

I cannot thank the staff enough for their professionalism from Jamie, to the receptionist, to the guys who worked on my car. I needed my car inspected and was given a quote of approximately $4,000 at another garage. My son used Hampden and highly recommended them. So I decided to go there. Jamie worked with me and concluded I was being way over charged with things that did not need fixed for inspection. I needed 2 front tires and brake, pads and rotors and a few other things and got my price down to $559. I will continue to only use Hampden Automotive in the future and recommend them highly to everyone!!

We needed an inspection the same day I called and they made room and squeezed us in. We were supposed to leave the next day to Indianapolis. They kept us from postponing our trip and we are so very thankful. Staff, mechanics, and manager are awesome! We highly recommend them and will be going back for our automotive needs! Thank you all!

I can t speak highly enough about the team at Hampden Automotive. This was my first mechanic after getting my first car and I was skeptical as we all hear about mechanics attempting to cheat people and over charge them for things. If that is your concern, please hear me when I say that you can feel safe at Hampden Automotive. James, the general manager, is one of the nicest people I met and everything he has told me in regard to what I need for my car and the pricing of those services has been spot on. I d ask some of the mechanics that my parents trust and they would verify everything James told me. This year I completely forgot about my inspection date and the little post card they sent in the mail did a great job of reminding me. I initially took my car to Hampden Automotive because it was convenient but I continue to go back because of the great experience I always have there. The staff is always friendly and helpful. I always understand what is going on with my vehicle and the time it will take. They are always able to service my vehicle in a timely fashion and I've never been surprised with extra charges or delays. Their prices are very fair and their work is excellent.

This is such a great place to take your vehicles. My boyfriend and i have been taking our cars here for a while now, James and his staff are so friendly and welcoming when you walk through the door. Great prices, they do great work and in a timely manner. James helped pick out some great tires for my jeep. I highly recommend bringing what you need fixed to them, you won t be disappointed!

MY CRV's AC broke down a couple of days before an out of state medical appointment and our usual shop couldn't squeeze us in for two weeks. We called around, and everyone in town was booked up. The best answer we got was "We can look at it, but it might be a week or so before we can fix it".Hampden Automotive told us to call back later in the day at 1:00pm and they'd squeeze me in if they could. Sure enough they were able to squeeze me in. They kept me updated as they worked on my car, and they had my AC fixed in time to make it to my doctor's appointment out of state.We will definitely keep Hampden Automotive in mind for our future needs.!

Just recently moved to the area and needed some work done to my car. I feel so lucky to have found this garage on our first call! They are so nice and responsive. They fixed the issue at a fair price, which is ultimately what anyone is looking for (not sure why other mechanics don't seem to understand this basic fact). Everyone here is so nice and helpful. I called around for a place to look at my son's SUV after he wrecked it, to make sure it was safe to drive and the engine was still good. Chris was very nice and squeezed us in. He even towed it for us early and let us leave it there until the appointment. After looking it over and doing all the mechanical things they do, James called me and gave me a rundown of what was needed. He was extremely honest and upfront with me and their prices are very reasonable. You can tell they really care about their customers and take the time to make sure everything is done right. I will definitely be taking my own car to them from now on! I am so glad I found an honest automotive place near me that I can depend on.

Communication and customer service: A+James and his staff have continually been accommodating with their schedule. They're responsive, clear, and give helpful updates on the scope of work being done. In my experience they have always laid out the various options and provided a recommendation on the best path forward after listening to my circumstances. I find their prices to be very fair and I've always felt like they've gone the extra mile without charging a premium. I'm happy to recommend their services.
