I left them my car for an oil change of a specific oil brand and type, and filter change. I explicitly asked for this services and this services only. I also emphasized that I did not want them to check nor touch anything else other than as specified, yet put a different brand other than the one I asked for that they said they had available before I even scheduled it, and overinflated the tires over 51psi without my consent. This tires can be filled for a maximum psi of 44 in the rear and 41 in the front. Total. With the extra 4psi of driving it for a while during hot weather accounted for. I drive it for a while and the tires reached 58psi. I deflated them down to 40. So that it wouldn t exceed 44psi, and immediately after the dash turned red, showing an engine light indicating to check the tire pressure, marked at 42psi. Which is always being okay up until now. But the tires are now throwing the tire pressure sensors off and the engine check light isn t going away. Because the technician re-trained the sensors to a much higher psi reading than factory settings. This is the first and last time I use this shop. And wouldn t recommend to anyone who s looking for good service at an honest price. This poor work ethics should be reported to the BBB.

Clays really knows what they are doing and they really work hard to keep prices down. My honda ran better than it has in a long time after their service appointment. He was able to source parts creatively during a period when parts were harder to come by. I highly recommend these folks.

We get my wife's Subaru serviced at Clay's. Jim runs his service center with honesty and integrity. It's not a discount garage but we are always satisfied with their work. Jim and his mechanics always fix it right the 1st time and we have never had to return for the same problem. When we need a repair, Jim always gives us options like: this must be done for safety, identifies work that could be done while he's in there but could wait, and work that will probably be needed in the coming year. We've had the car for 10 years and Jim's forecast is usually right.

I was in Mechanicsburg from out-of state when I had a flat tire from a nail in the tread. I called AAA and they referred me to Clay's. I arrived in the morning right as they were opening as I needed to get back on the road. They were able to get me right in. The owner was very helpful and the repair was done efficiently and was very reasonably priced. I have the sense that this business still operates on good customer relations. I would highly rate this service station and my experience.

Took my car here to get an oil change, tail light bulb replacement and a diagnosis as to why my check engine light was on. The total for this "work" came to $268. My appointment was also made for a Wednesday when I'd be out of town so it would be done when I came back. Went to pick it up that Saturday and was told it wasn't done and, in fact, no work had been done on it because he had written down he had the car until Monday. I told him I might not be able to pick it up until Monday, not that he could work on it until then. The appointment was for Wednesday! So I was without my car for longer than expected and inconvenienced when the whole point was to have it done while I didn't need the car.Furthermore, they FINALLY called on Monday to say why the check engine light was on and they recommended an $800 repair job that we declined because we are moving to Okinawa, Japan in January and won't have our vehicles. He then told my husband for the work that had been performed our total would be $138. My husband went to pick up the car and was told $268 instead.I called for an explanation today and was told that the diagnosis cost $114 because it took an hour and a half and their fee is $76/hr for labor. How it takes an hour and a half to hook a car up to a code reader is beyond me. Also, $100 for an oil change and tail light bulb replacement seems mighty hefty to me.DO NOT take your car here unless you want to pay an arm and a leg and have miscellaneous charges and for them to lie about how long it takes to do something so that you end up having to pay more in labor. Just like most mechanics, they are swindlers and will rip you off for whatever reason. I am convinced that they decided to charge us more because we declined the $800 repair job.Make an appointment here at your own risk.

Dont to Clays! Ooo and the exhaust he repair just 3 months ago..... also broke and that was 300 bucks! .... AAA should not be in business with the man.

Called ahead and scheduled an appointment after talking about the issue, when I arrived he turned me away and was very unprofessional about it. Don't waste your time or they will gladly waste yours.
