I wish I could give double stars. I've now taken two vehicles here, and each time I was impressed not just with their prowess and efficiency, but by their kindness as well. Getting a car repaired shouldn't be something you can characterize as a "pleasant experience" and yet that's exactly what I've found both times I've availed myself of their establishment. I hope I'll never have to see them again, of course, but I also know that if (when) I do, I won't have anything to worry about. If you need a car repaired, I truly cannot recommend Lucas enthusiastically enough. Absolutely wonderful.

By far the best experience! I chose this shop to repair my car after being rear ended & they made everything stress free, fast and pleasant!During the entirety of the process they kept me updated 100% by text message updates, and had my car back to me FAST! My car was only worked on for a week and I got it back looking BRAND NEW! ( they even vacuumed my car for me before I got it! )

Excellent service from start to finish. I would definitely recommend them and use them in the future if necessary. I was updated and informed on every step of the way. The work was done in less time than expected and they took the time to explain what they did. Perfect!!! I can't even tell it had ever been hit.

These guys did amazing work on my Chevrolet Tahoe. They kept us up to date on the progress when they unexpectedly required a part that would delay the tow. They also helped communicate with the rental company when they didn t show up on time as expected, saving me the hassle entirely. They did such a great job repairing the damage to the back rear of my SUV and also even touched up a spot from another incident that they didn t have to for no cost. We will be lifelong customers!

Initial visit and estimate wentnvery well. The process and repairs were explined well. Fortunately, this shop works with my insurance, so any change orders will go directly to them.

The people who helped me were very professional and answered every question I had about my car. Turned out my car is totalled so they called a rental company who dropped off a car. I will certainly recommend Autobodies by Lucas to my friends.

I took my car here to be repaired after an accident. Because of covid and supply chain issues it took three months to get an appointment to have the car fixed. This is understandable and common in the industry right now.However after waiting all that time the shop did not have all the parts needed to repair the car. Some of the parts they know they needed and others, in spite of inspecting the car they did not know they needed. They told me they would have my car ready for me in one week and they had it for three. I had to constantly call them to get updates- no one called me to tell me my car would not be ready on time.After getting my car back after three weeks the windshield wiper fluid did not work and a daytime running light was not installed. I had to take the car back twice to resolve these issues.While the staff was always polite they never apologized for any of the inconveniences.I realize this is one of only a few bad reviews for this shop, so perhaps it is an anomaly. However it is a pretty significant one.

I was extremely impressed with the work done to my car at Lucas. I haven t been there in 20 plus years and remember they did great work back then. It took 3 weeks to get my car in (having to order parts and tend to the cars before me) and 3 days of work to my car. Everyone was very kind, professional and always very helpful to my family and me. I was beyond happy with my car after I received it, the interior was cleaner than I have ever seen it before and great exterior work. I was so very pleased and thankful. Great work guys!

I have unfortunately been rear-ended 3 times now, and have gone to a different body shop each time. This last time, I chose Autobodies by Lucas. I by far had the best experience. Despite the insurance company Being a challenge to work with, they handled Everything and made it a smooth process for me. They even had my car immaculately cleaned inside and out when I picked it up. I felt like I was picking up a new car. I hope to never get rear-ended again, but if I ever need body work done, I will take it to AutoBodies by Lucas again! They were wonderful!Service: Body & Trim

Depsite being very customer service orienated. Which is great. There was flaws and too many in the repair that was done to my vehicle. The drivers side door leaked air and water. I had to take it back to them on at least 2 more occasions. They tryed bending the door, finally replacing the door gasket. Which did work to a point. 1.5 later the door still freezes shut due in the winter. Also, you can visually see paint drips on the door where they painted. I am not that picky and due to my work schedule I am certainly not dropping off my car AGAIN for repairs on something that should have been correct the 1st. They are very responsive. Just too much of a rush job to get the cars in and out........if you know what I mean? I hope others have a more positive results.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

I had such an excellent experience with Autobodies by Lucas! I hit a deer and a month later I was rear ended so I needed a lot of work done on my car. I went through my insurance to file the claim and they were suggested as a body shop. The hours are a bit difficult since I work the same hours but thankfully my job is flexible. I was quoted 5 days originally. Dropped it off Monday morning and by Tuesday afternoon it was done! Rear bumper, new grille, new hood, pretty much a whole new front and back at that point. The paint is blended perfectly and they cleaned my car too. They even gave ME a thank you card! It's been such a pleasant and easy experience working with them. I highly recommend them!

I took my car in for repair work and painting after my car was backed into. All of the associates that I spoke to and interacted with were professional and kind. The repairs were completed timely and the paint matches perfectly, I am very satisfied with the work that was completed! They did an awesome job. Everyone I spoke with was very nice, helpful and professional. I ve already been telling people about the great experience I had.If I ever need body work done again, they will be the only place I would take my car.If I could give them more than 5 stars I would.Also the thank you note from the owner was very nice!! Very professional. The thorough cleaning of the car inside and out was a pleasant surprise. My vehicle has that new car smell again. This is the second time I have used Lucas, and I have been very pleased both times. When I had a job done without insurance, they respected my wishes and did not try to push higher-priced options.

This was the second time that used the services of the Autobodies by Lucas and the main reason I didn't look for other options as far as body work is concerned was the previous experience when they repaired the body damage on my car.Even before I filed the claim with my auto insurance I drove to Mechanicsburg and had their estimator examine the damage on my car,gave me an estimate that plainly but accurately described the damage and also the parts and the labor involved in making my car look the same before the damage was done.I filed the claim and told my insurance agent where I'd like the work to be done and after only two days the repair work was scheduled.I drove my car to Autobodies by Lucas and after only two days everything was completed.One of the most important issues when you are trying to have repairs done on your car was the fact that the estimate is accepted by your insurance and all one is ask to pay is the deductible as per your insurance.Obviously the quality of the work that was done was no doubt of the utmost importance and this time just as the first time when Autobodies by Lucas did repairs on my car was perfect.Obviously not everybody needing body repair done on their car lives as close as I do to Mechanicsburg,PA and their insurance might look at the cost of repair differently that my insurance did but let me only say that when I had the repair done on my carI had two estimates one from Autobodies by Lucas and another one by another body shop and that one was at least 30% more expensive for the same quality work so my insurance would not cover the expense that would have amounted a great deal more than my out of pocket deductible.Miodrag

Finished body work on our Kia Soul and Chevy Bolt, not big damage but a challenging fix due to location of damage. Both look better then new. And they detailed the cars prior to returning them. This is a very professional and personable outfit. I had work done after a minor accident and I am very pleased with the results. The staff made the encounter a pleasant procedure. When I went, Steve was my estimator. He was very informative and walked me through everything he was going to do and going to estimate. Once he was done with the estimate he s called and emailed me to follow up which I thought was very helpful. When I picked up my vehicle Pat was very helpful and informative. The car looked amazing!!!! I couldn t even tell there was damage. The owner even gave us a card thanking us for the business. I am glad I went to Autobodies by Lucas!!

I was referred here by James from Hampden Automotive after my wife was involved in a small front fender bender that resulted in paint being scratched to the primer layer. These folks are top notch. Repair work was done so well you can't even tell there was any damage ever done to my vehicle. Paint work was also excellent. I had them do an extra paint job for my vehicle and the work and paint match was spot on. Highly recommend these folks.

My car had an accident (right front bumper, grill, wheel, door, and hood ) at the end of Nov. After towing to their facility, they did an estimate and gave me a detail report one or two day after accident. Although it takes some time to get some backorder parts from dealer (YES, they order brand new parts from dealer!), as soon as they got the parts, they repaired my car immediately. Their repair work is on schedule and great. They send my car to dealer to do diagnostic test for final scan. Before they called me to pick up my car last Fri (1/3), they did the final quality check and clean my car. I really appreciate their work, not only great and detail repair work, but also their nice and quick-response service (including warranty). If you unfortunately need car painting or repair, I strongly recommend Lucas!!

Outstanding experience, courtesy, professionalism, expertise, going the extra mile and customer care.I have not been treated so well as a customer of service in literally a decade or more.Lucas team is truly a team, all looking toward two goals: expert car repairs and flawless customer service.My job was small, just a bumper replacement, but I was treated like my truck was important. like it was a big deal.They even rubbed out a black mark I'd gotten along the side of my truck and to my shock, when I picked it up it was washed (and maybe waxed) and detailed on the inside. WOW!YOU HAVE A NEW LIFE LONG CUSTOMER. WELL DONE IN DEED.

I've used this facility a few times and the work was always great. I recently got rear-ended though, and although everyone was very friendly throughout the process, the repair job left me quite inconvenienced. After having my vehicle for five days to repair the lift gate among other things, it was returned to me making a noise. I soon discovered that noise to be broken support pieces rattling inside the life gate. It appeared they only repaired the outside and did not check the interior components of the lift gate while they had it. They promptly ordered an entire new lift gate and secured me a rental so they could repair my vehicle a second time. While this was quite an inconvenience, I would have still given them 4 stars had this been the end of it. However, a few days after I got it back again, I realized the lift gate handle was attached upside down and my backup camera wouldn't work. Apparently the camera was never attached to the new liftgate and was just dangling by the electrical wires that connected it. At this point, I had been inconvenienced enough by going to their shop and securing rental vehicles and i was not dealing with it for a third time over what should have been a minor repair, so I secured the backup camera in place myself and removed and reinstalled the lift gate handle myself. I'm pleased with the actual way the work looks that they did, but it really feels like they tried to get it done in a rush by not fully checking to make sure they were doing the repairs correctly which led to me being inconvenienced several times. Not sure if I'll ever use this place again.

From start to finish they were very personable very professional did an excellent job I said when the car would be done and it was done great. Will tell all our friends and family that would be the place to get your car fixed as we were advised from a family member who also had work done by them they did a wonderful job on their car also

I had a front bumper replaced on my 2010 Toyota Prius. After researching auto body places in Mechanicsburg I decided to take my car to Autobodies by Lucas. I was very pleased with my whole experience from start to finish.They were very professional, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly! The estimate was given to me quickly and an appointment was set up. They finished my car as promised and it looks great!! I am very pleased. I am very pleased with the work done to my car. The estimated repair time was 3 days, they got it done in 1.5 days and did a beautiful job. I highly recommend them. Customer service is an A+. I will be returning if the need arises

I have dealt with the staff 3 times in the last 18 months. Each time everyone has been very professional and helpful. And each time the repairs are excellent. I would highly recommend Autobodies by Lucas to anyone in the Harrisburg area. They are a FIRST class organization.

This was the cleanest, most efficient auto body shop I've seen. The lobby is like an attorney's office. Their work is amazing and super quick.
