What can I say but a life saver. On a recent trip back from Tennessee to New Hampshire our water pump went on Interstate 84 in the early evening. After calling AAA, we were towed to the garage with my wife, our dog and myself in the truck. The tow truck driver did nothing short of rolling out the red carpet for us. When arriving at the garage we were given a ride to the Hampton Inn which was a generous act in a stressful situation and were told that we would be contacted in the morning. In the morning, Jeff contacted us and told us that he would work hard to get us back on the road. With some hard work and diligence Jeff came through for us and got us back on the road to home in the late afternoon. Jeff and his crew went out of their way to help us. When were on the road to New Hampshire he even called us to make sure all was fine. My wife and I cannot thank him enough for making a bad situation go away. We were treated fairly with kindness and respect and feel fortunate that we were towed to his garage. I can do nothing short of giving 5 stars to Jeff, his crew and his business. We will always remember him making time for us and getting us to New Hampshire. It is nice to know that there are still some honest and sincere people/businesses. THANK YOU.

Nice gas station, with attached garage.Tiny little shop inside with a unisex bathroom, the bathroom is very clean

Had to call AAA to get my truck towed to the shop. It was in a very tricky spot in my driveway. Dave showed up and got the job done. He was able to get the truck out and went the extra mile to make sure it was done safely. Thank you!

I come here every day now because the fuel is great runs great in my bike and the guy at the register is amazing. He's friendly and kind and even asks about your day. Love this gas station

We broke down on I-84 today. AAA sent tri city shell to tow us and we're so happy that they did! Jeff even picked us up in the pouring rain, gave us warm coffe to warm us up and took us to our hotel. He was very honest about what was happening with our van and gave us great options. The price was very fair. He also gave me the numbers to places that we could rent cars from so we could continue on our vacation. The tow truck driver was also very nice and did a great job with a sense of humor. I would very much recommend this place if you want great service and a fair price.

Honest. I used them for a AAA tow - and he took the time to help me sort out the benefit/costs of the repair I was about to authorize on a 10 year old car. He didn't try to sell me any services. No one tends to care that much anymore - and he took the time to be helpful. Thanks Shell! Oh - nice flatbed vehicle.

This place is a joke as far as towing for AAA. My husband waited 6hrs yesterday! After almost hitting 7hrs we told them to stay in the a/c & called AAA back to cancel. We never had to use AAA b4 this was our 1st & last!

I was terrified of having to trust a garage off the highway when my truck broke down 600 miles from home. Jeff and his staff took us in, showed us where to get food, brought us to a hotel, and then went out of his way to work me at getting my truck fixed and back home. I was leery about trying the drive again after it was repaired, but they did extra testing to ease my anxiety. In the end it ran like new and is now home. What could have been a nightmare scenario turned out to be just an inconvenience thanks to Jeff and his staff at Tri State Shell. If I were local they would be my garage of choice!

We are from out of town and our vehicle broke down. They came and picked us up through AAA. They looked at our vehicle within the hour to determine what s going on. The car was fixed by the next day early afternoon. They also dropped us off at a hotel and picked us up to get our van and didn t offer us up on additional money for taking us to the hotel. They went over and beyond to help us out and will always be grateful for these folks and what they did for us. Thank you so much for being kind and friendly to my family. My car was in the shop for a week and nothing was accomplished. When I dropped my car off to them the only light on the dash that was on was the Battery Sensor Pressure light. Upon picking up my vehicle I noticed my Check Engine light is on so I went back inside and explained to them that the Check Engine light was not on upon dropping my car off to them a week ago which in regards to that tried strongly disagreeing with me that it was on upon dropping it off well I m not the female to go back and forth with lack of concern and effort to communicate to fix the issue they caused I dropped my car off and they fixed NOTHING but charged 1700$ for time and labor spent with a special customer care of causing more problem than my car had before dropping it off!! Thanks Tri State Shell especially Jeff!Here are the photos for you the proof my car did not come in with the check engine light on but the code popped when it was in your shop which you were made aware of because you tried to clear the code !!! And thank you for draining my battery dead without a warning upon leaving/picking up my car in the middle of a snow storm. It s okay I hear Tri State Shell has a bad rep with people and in general anyway I just wish I knew that before taking my car there that he would give me more problems with my car and charge 1700$ for it anyway attached are the photosUnless you are getting off route 84 and need some gas do not go to these scam artists.

Tristate Shell has assisted me out of many situations. I have AAA and used the towing, both local and long distance, several times. Every driver I ve spoken with has been extremely considerate, helpful, and polite. Recently, I had work done on my car here. The price was more than fair, work was done quickly, and I m very happy with the quality of the work. The shop is extremely clean and organized. Jeff is honest, responsive, and more than willing to work with you. I will definitely trust Tristate Shell in the future with my car.

Highly recommend! Kind, helpful and considerate. Much like other reviewers, had a flat tire due to an I-84 pothole. Even though they did not have the tire I needed, they found another place that could help and assisted me with making those arrangements. In addition they helped with contacting my roadside assistance and coordinated towing. I can also confirm they have clean restrooms! I will always make this a pit stop on my trips to PA. Thanks especially to Willie and Jimmy! You made a bad experience go about as smoothly as one could hope. I can t thank you enough!

I broke down while pulling a cargo trailer - Station is AAA and worked with autoclub to assist me getting to the Honda Dealer. Owner was very helpful and his assistance was a lifesaver. Very professional and well kept station and extremely well equipped garage.

I was driving from Massachusetts to Ohio and my front tire sprung a leak. My 2 cans of fix-a-flat didn't work. I happened upon Tri-State Shell after 6p when all the other tire stores were closed. Jimmy replaced my front tires in less than 40 minutes. He was friendly, fast, and did a great job!!! True-State is open until 9pm which is a blessing for drivers like me. Thanks and God bless!!!

My vehicle was involved in an accident. Tri State shell arrived to the accident site promptly and professionally. This made such a difference for me as a female sitting in a vehicle alone on the side of the road.

Excellent service, car broke down on the highway heading away for the weekend. Where to begin with the driver; got out to us quick, called around finding a shop open with a mechanic on staff at the time, and even helped us find a car service to pick us up from the highway. Excellent service all around.

Okay, TriState just became my car service provider of choice. I knew of them but yesterday had occasion to use their services when I was about to leave on a trip and found I had a flat. Called AAA and suggested TriState as they are only about a mile or so away from me. AAA called them and they called me within 5 minutes. I explained my situation, that I was leaving on a trip, and they were there within 15 minutes. Towed me back to their shop, where they fixed my tire quickly, and got me on my way. While I waited I observed their operation: full service mechanics and tires; exceptionally clean work environment; free coffee for customers; snack products available ( hadn t yet had breakfast so this was important); friendly and pleasant staff; neat vintage car artifacts all around, including die-cast models; reasonable prices. What more could I ask for, even the restroom was immaculate! Thank you Tri-State! For being there for me and treating me like an important customer, you ve earned all of my future car business.

I am from NY and was traveling through PA and hit a pot hole that bent both of my Rims on my Chevy Tahoe. Thanks to Liberty Insurance for contacting Tri State to Tow my truck I was very lucky to end up at this Service Station. They are truly professionals that care about their customers and fixing their vehicle without ripping them off. Jeff was a true gentleman that made a stressful experience not stressful at all. I highly recommend this service station to anyone that lives in that area. Thanks for the great experience

Several weeks ago, after a long road trip, my mom & I rolled into your friendly Shell station for some petrol. We loved the model car collection & clean rest room with a special touch, our compliments to the owner & those who work there.

My Subaru broke down outskirts of Port Jervis. About 20 min from Middletown, 20 minutes from Port. 8:00 on a weeknight. Called several tow companies, some were closed, some 24 hour services didn't answer their phone, and some in Middletown said I was too far away (8-11 miles) Insurance company's roadside service got me in touch with TriState Shell. I wouldn't even have called them because they're further away, and in a different state! But they answered and said their trucks were out on an emergent my call, but would be able to come 1-1/2 hours. So I agreed to wait. They called me about an hour later and said someone was in the way. The driver was friendly, very professional. I have a low profile car and he was very careful to make sure the front bumper didn't scrape when it was loaded on the flatbed. On the way to the dealer shop. He let me know a little about this company, and that they answer many calls in my area for the same reasons I called them. Also that they don't mind working on Subarus (many mechanics don't like working on Subies). He got me to the dealership. All in all, very good customer rapport, professional service. I would definitely recommend, and use them again for towing, and even though a bit far away, would consider for repair work as well.

We stopped here for gas, snacks, and a restroom break on our way home from Nashville. The restrooms were SPARKLING clean!! 5 stars for those, alone. Even my husband noticed. The lady working was friendly, too. You can tell it's a great little Mom-n-Pop place that the owners take pride in. Thank you!

Yesterday my car got stuck in the mud in my driveway, when my husband was attempting to move my car. Jimmy came and was so sweet as I was nervous putting my car into neutral as the winch from his tow truck was pulling me in my car backwards. He told me not to worry as he was going to stay right next to me as I got pulled out. He made me relax and as he pulled my car right out. He even looked under the car to make sure there was nothing hanging down as my car got hung up on a huge tree root. Thank you Jimmy for doing an excellent job and for having compassion towards me. I highly recommend Tri-Star shell and I especially recommend Jimmy! Thanks again Jimmy!

What a little gem, we stopped for gas and potty brakes. I have not seen a cleaner bathroom in many years. Not even fine dining establishments I have been in lately, have cleaner bathrooms, what a pleasant surprise. Nice people also.

Two pieces of my experience with Tri State Shell moved me to take time to write a review. The tow operator Martin picked me up when AAA called his shop. He had already spotted my broken down car on I-84 as he drove the other way on the highway. He was very competent, friendly, and helpful. He even helped me find lodging when I had to stay overnight.The guy who I assume is the Service Manager, Jeff, gave me thorough feedback when he ran diagnostics. He did a second round of diagnostics that identified a second possible cause of my BMW's problem. As a result, he suggested I take a $800+ repair job somewhere else (a BMW dealership) as only dealerships have the right computer tools to be 100% sure of the diagnosis. Telling your customer to go somewhere else to protect your good name is a very honorable thing to do.If you're ever unlucky enough to be stranded, broken down, etc., on the NY/PA line of I-84, you're in good hands with Tri State Shell.

Jeff the owner is great! Chuck at Advance Auto sent me there when my low port valve was leaking after we filled with freon. I was traveling from Kentucky to New Hampshire, Jeff diagnosed the problem, fixed it and I was back on the road in 45 mins! Great garage, very clean and lots of antique signage around. Highly recommended. It was pure luck I got off at this exit. Thank you Jeff!

Windshield got hit by semi blowout, then stopped at welcome center. Ac and belts blew on Ford explorer. Traveling with pets. Took across street to shell, said they can help. Car wasnt finished on time bc of scheduled apts but they went out of their way to help and get me back on road recommended best western at hunt's landing. Best western was NOT understanding. I paid for extended stay and went to lobby at 3 PM. They charged me an extra night even though I was standing there in lobby to check out. Amy in housekeeping was very rude. Do not recommend this best western when it's an emergent situation. Shell is good

Thank you to Ian for his professionalism and courtesy! A dead car is never a pleasant experience (and missing work!) but Ian made the whole towing episode much less stressful with by calling up his ETA, arriving quickly and being a friendly and easy-going guy. I am very grateful! Thank you Ian! You "win" in my book!

Very hard working and honest. They get the work done and it is done right. Jeff and Les are expert mechanics. They are always a pleasure to do business with and any issue is taken care of immediately with no excuses. This garage shop is about as close to perfection as I have ever had the pleasure to frequent. Need I say more?

Incredible staff, Jeff is awesome! Broke down 5 hours from home and Jeff showed up to shuttle my family to a nearby hotel. Worked with insurance company to get the car fixed in a day. If you break down in the Matamoras area, pray that Tri State will pick u up!!!! If I could give 10 stars, I would!!!

Broke down in the middle of the night on the highway... their driver (whose name I can not recall) called me almost right after I got off the phone with AAA to make sure I was safe! He told me he was on the way, and it felt like only minutes before he was there! I tend to trust my gut (as a lady all by herself on the highway should), and felt safe after my crazy ordeal the second he shook my hand. He got my car loaded on his truck and was kind enough to drop me off from the highway (at the welcome center where my husband was meeting me) and took my car back to my regular mechanic. An old car means I break down a lot.... this was one of the greater experiences I've had with towing... thank you so much and stay amazing!!!
