The owner and my pap are really good friends and he painted my chevelle. We traded labor for a 68 mustang very solid body, all new sheet metal and a bunch of parts, rebuilt motor, magnum wheels, toploader 4 speed. He told my pap to have the car out at his shop the first week of october 2022. Some parts set us back to the second week of october but we got it out to his shop. Now before we sent the car over i completely painted the underneath of the car, the floors, cowl, inner fenders, core support and wet sanded everything for a nice finish except the core support. I had ss 14 inch magnums on it that had really nice paint and decent tires on them. back to october 2022, 2 months later we call him and he says its got the quarter panels on it and he about to put the car in primer. Well february or march 2023 i see him in at mcdonalds and he says he just about to put it in primer again. Well i didn t think anything of it and left it go because i didnt want to bug the guy. 3-4 months later its july 5th, and i figured id stop up and see what progress he made. Well he left the car sit outside completely and entirely untouched after months of lying about the car. Let me tell you i was absolutely pissed. I bit the bullet and told my pap because i don t have the guys number. He tells my pap his business was going under and he couldn t get to it. i honestly don t believe it. ill do the math for you october-july is roughly 8 months , he works week days so about 20 days a week, lets say he worked just half an hour a day on the car, thats 10 hours a month times 8. thats 80 hours, for the little amount of work to do compared to most cars it wouldve been done in 80 hours. That s ridiculous, and the bad part is, thats not just some random body guy, its my paps friend, and he treated him like that and lied to him. the owner gets insurance jobs, i dont think his business was going under, either way 30 minutes a day and my pap supplied the materials. Anyways i drove up to the shop atleast 4 times after the first time about a month apart and he still kept lying about doing the car. He finally ACTUALLY started on the car feb-march of 2024, thats like a year and a half he messed us around. Besides all that, the paint work i did to everything, inner fenders, core support, inner and outer floors the cowl, wheels all faded out and looks like crap. Again my paps money put into the car that howard just left it ruin and lied about. I talked to him a few times and discussed things on the car and he told me he would make it up to me, he said he would paint the dash, the cowl and the column, and a couple other things and he did none of it. His excuse for not doing the car was because he didn t know i was taking senior pictures with it but that doesn t matter because he promised to do the car right away. In reality the car would ve been completely done summer 2023 and i could ve drove it to school my senior year. Then theres a panel that sits against the back window that is painted the color of the car, he didn t paint it, he left it bare metal and ill almost have to pull the brand new back window out to paint it just so it looks right. He also destroyed the vinyl top chrome on the car. i was planning on putting the vinyl top back on the next time i restored the car in 20 years. but he destroyed the original stainless. Theres cast corners that sit on the top of the quarter that were junk but broke every good piece of stainless on the vinyl top trim. Ive taken the chrome off before it isn t hard and he completely mangled them beyond any thought of repairing them. Now lets get to the actual paint job. he must ve been messing with the doors while the paint was wet because the rim of the doors are all jagged and the primer is coming through. but other than that he actually did do a decent job on the paint. New headers are rusted. Very dishonest man and disappointed in how he treated his friend that always helps him out. Pap found him rare mustang parts over the years and gave him bales of hay and ponys and probably more, and thats how he treats my pap.

On or about May 9, 2011 I made a purchase with Decker's Garage for a custom painted golf cart bodyan matching custom painted top. Delivery was supposed to be in less than two weeks. I received thegolf cart body without the matching top. I spoke with Howard about the missing top. He informed methat they had mispainted the top and the paint had peeled. He informed me that it was going to takeanother week before I would receive the top. I waited patiently for the top to arrive. Afterapproximately a week and a half with no top I called Howard to check the status. He told me that itwas shipped and that he would place a trace on it when he returned to the office later that day. Howardphoned me later that day to inform me that it was mistakenly shipped to another customer in Louisiana.I asked what we should now. He stated that he would have the other client ship the top to him and hewould send it to me. Two weeks later I had not received the top and phoned yet again. This wasaround the beginning of July. I was informed by his son that he was out of town and unreachable buthis son assured me that he would have Howard call me when he returned. A few days later Howard didphone and informed me that the top had arrived at his shop but one of his employees backed into it witha Hi-Lo and had done major damage. He stated that he would personally repaint the top and have it outto me by the following Tuesday. He stated that he would phone m eon that Tuesday with a trackingnumber. I phoned him on Wednesday when I had not heard from him on Tuesday. He did not answerand I have left no less than 10 messages over the following week with no response. As of today I have not received the top or any contact from Decker's Garage. I will have to spend themoney to have the golf cart repainted again, because the top will not match the rest of the cart. I havehad to miss 2 golf cart shows and have had to deal with an incomplete cart for the summer.

My Daughter got marrie 2 years ago and Moved to Martinsburg PA with my 3 grandblessings. Next week will be the 3rd time Howard - Deckers has done work for her on her Subaru Impreza (all for different problems) After having a terrible experience with the Dealer her locally in Cumberland MD I was sick and scared to death to have her need work on in it so far away. I was having serious trust issues. However everytime he has done work it has been excellent and afforable. He has restored my Trust that there is still Honest Good Working People out there and I am blessed to know she is getting great service and workmanship.
