Heistand Automotive has serviced my Audi's for many years. They are very knowledgeable, with comprehensive service and fairly priced. I have been very happy and grateful to find such good foreign car mechanics.

Heistands was great to work with. They worked me in for an emergency repair, and explained everything to me along the way. They were reasonably priced and everyone I dealt with was friendly and understanding of the stress that comes with car repairs. Awful experience with mechanic. He lied to me and told me that they couldn't get parts for my vehicle so they couldn't repair it. This was after they had it for 2 months. Mercedes dealer and Mercedes repair shop in York told me they can get all the parts and gave me quotes. Front desk was nice, but I would never trust these guys with a vehicle. And I will be telling everyone I know not to use them. Maybe they are good with oil changes and simple things or maybe he just didn't want to work on my car. Not sure. Just know he straight lied to me on the phone.

They charge $180 for an oil change. That's just criminal! They say it was for diagnostic labor but when I scheduled the appointment, I told them there was an issue with my rear suspension on the driver's side. They didnt fix anything even though my vehicle was there all day. How did it take an hour and $100 of labor to diagnose something I told them on the phone and wrote down on their vehicle check in form when I dropped off the vehicle?

Upon many recommendations, we took our 2016 Porsche Spyder in for inspection and service; oil/filter change and brake system flush, and diagnostic check. We were pleased with the friendly and professional reception and service we received. We had always had service done at a dealer. The quality of service was comparable at a much more reasonable cost. I highly recommend them and will use them again in the future.Services: Brake service & repair, Oil change

Let me start off by saying I am beyond please with the work their mechanic performed on my car. After doing some aftermarket suspension work on my car myself, the alignment became so far off that I couldn t drive the car. I was referred to this company by another company because of the outstanding work they perform. After explaining my issue to Chuck (who had fantastic customer service) I was able to get an appointment quickly. I want to commend the mechanic for his hard work, due to the lowness of my car I know it wasn t easy to get onto the alignment rack and get the number to come in. But when I got the car back it was a night and day difference! I can t stay out of the car now, even with these gas prices! I highly recommend these guys for their customer service. I brought my vehicle in to get looked at because it was making noise they diagnosed the issue and gave me a cost. They cost was more than I wanted to spend on the car so I decided notto do the repairs but I was given a bill for $311.00 to diagnose the problem. I was not happy with that I can understand some type of charge but that is ridiculous.Service: Steering & suspension repair

After being recommended by other car enthusiasts and another British auto mechanic, I started taking my Aston to Heistand's for yearly inspection and basic maintenance I've gotten too busy to tackle myself. They've always been very professional, communicative, and quick. This year, when they discovered the car had two cracked wheels, they didn't mind keeping the car sitting for a few days while I sourced new wheels, and had the car ready with new tires and inspected the next day after I dropped off the wheels. They charged me exactly what the tires cost them, so despite expecting a big bill, they were very reasonable. I've had such a good experience that I'm going to be bringing all of my cars here in the future.Services: Tires, Oil change

I was referred to Heistand by a friend years ago and have been taking my car here ever since. Their prices are fair, the office staff (and dog) are fantastic and the mechanic is knowledgeable and performs excellent work! I've been taking my cars to Heistand Automotive for nearly 20 years, and I have never dealt with a more professional, high-quality, honest car repair business. After countless service appointments, I have never had a problem. They have always successfully serviced or repaired my cars within the time promised and without have to do a follow-up appointment. And their pricing is always what they quote or less. I consider Heistand fair-priced and a great value.In addition, they have incredible ethics. A number of times, when I thought I might need to a certain repair or part, they told me it wasn't necessary or it can wait a while and there was no need to spend the money. In my experience this is quite uncommon in the car repair - or any other - business.Lastly, it is a pleasure to do business with Heistand. They are always helpful, friendly and professional. I give Heistand Automotive my very enthusiastic recommendation!

I have a 1979 MGB that I purchased new in 1979, and every time I have a small issue, the Heistand Team is there to help me. As you can imagine, some parts are wearing out by now. They replaced my alternator last year, and my starter switch this year. They are great to work with, and deliver as promised. Been dealing with Chuck for years, and my dad longer than that. Always a good price, has rarely missed a diagnosis in almost 16 years. I'd highly recommend for any European brand, but he's been great with my Audis and BMW over the years.

I drive almost 100 miles to get my boxster serviced at Heistand. They are very technically competent, courteous and complete the work when promised. The cost is always inline with the services performed.There is also a great diner close by to enjoy the waiting time. When my son wanted an older model BMW, I knew it would be expensive to maintain and it would be important to have an honest, experienced mechanic to rely upon. Heistand Automotive has been outstanding. Chuck has worked with me multiple times to find and fix the problems encountered and at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend his shop.

I have been a customer of Heistand Automotive since 1983 and they have always provided quality service with reasonable pricing. This is a family business that cares about building a relationship with their customers. Chuck and his staff have found solutions for every challenge that I have thrown at them, from routine maintenance to stubborn check engine lights and a replacement engine in my dad's VW diesel. They have been great to discern the correct repair, rather than trying several things. This controls the cost and is much appreciated.

We've been a customer for 7 years. Everyone has been very nice. Work is completed as quickly as possible and unnecessary services are not recommended. Pricing has always been reasonable.

It s no secret to those with European cars in the area - take it to Heistands. I ve been dealing with them for decades.Honest service, affordable prices.Just had a cooling issue on my Cayenne repaired effectively.

Bought a bmw 10 mints later i took it over to this shop. Chuck and all the ladies up front are awesome , they figured out a really complicated diagnose problem for me very very fast . Treated me like a first class citizen was fare on price compared to a bmw dealer down the road that wanted 5k for service bill that chuck got down for me less then 2k. I will highly recommend if you have a german vehicle, to bring it only to chuck for any service. Definitely earned my business not just this time but for the rest of my life.

I dropped my car off in the morning for an inspection, and by early afternoon, it was done. They went out of their way to fix a tire with a nail in it, as well as reset my TPMS notification. I have used Heistands Automotive for 25 years. From my Porsche to my Land Rover Series 3. Chuck s team has the knowledge and work ethic to tackle the jobs many operations walk away from. With state of the art diagnostics, I never have to lose sleep. I was fortunate to discover Heistands after being abused by the local Porsche dealer. 25 years and counting!Service: Oil change

Great place to have your car serviced, especially if you have any European make. They make sure to go over every aspect of the car and give you an honest rundown of what your car needs or will need in the future. The shop is a little pricey, but the work is always quality!

I have always taken my car to Heistand Automotive. The staff is always knowledgeable, professional and reliable. They are able to explain complex car concepts to the lay person which is greatly appreciated. I will continue to take my cars there for service.
