My husband's truck seized and we had just purchased something that broke down on the way home from Philly. We were stuck, it was right before Christmas and we had absolutely no money left. This man and his team: took their already packed schedule and fit us in hearing what kind of week we had. It was a miserable two weeks before Christmas. Two cars broke down, a flood in the basement and mice in the attic. Everything was going nuts. This man took money off the bill and gave me the cheapest rate he could. I will be forever grateful.

I ve had my fair share of shoddy and inept repairs done on my car, and I never would ve known if it wasn t for these guys. From kinked coolant hoses to being told I need an electric starter in my car. Being shown all of the flaws in the repairs done by other mechanics I ll never go anywhere else. With Great Valley I know I m in safe professional hands and I won t go anywhere else. Also the owner John is very friendly and professional.Service: General repairs & maintenance

My car wouldn't start in the Wegman's parking lot around the corner from Great Valley Automotive. Someone tried to give me a jump, but it didn't work, and my roadside assistance estimated 1.5 hours for someone to get to me.I called Great Valley Automotive at 4:30 PM, which was close to their closing time. They drove over to the parking lot right away and were able to start my car with their jump kit. I followed them back to the garage, where they changed my battery in less than 10 minutes and charged me a completely reasonable rate for the new battery + alternator check + labor . They didn't charge me for coming to my rescue in the parking lot either, and I was on my way home by 5:15 PM.Like another review said, the office/garage reside in fairly modest digs, but I'll be happy to use their garage again for future service.Service: Auto battery maintenance

Great valley automotive is the most HONEST, Reasonably priced in the area. Mechanics in GVA are very talented and always do the great job of fixing cars. I Highly recommend GVA!

My brakes failed when I was an hour away from home, and these guys were willing to check my car out and fix it right away! A few other places said they couldn't, but John was kind enough to help so I wasn't stranded. They were so friendly, fast, and affordable. Thank you all so much, I will recommend this place to everyone I know who lives in the area!

They got back to me very quickly with a fair quote for a new windshield for my vehicle. I decided not to get the work done, but they were very polite on the phone and I would definitely do business with them again.

Went for a Wheel bearing installation was given 680$ in estimate, (320$ for part + 360$ labor fee). Firm on price. When I went to other Auto repairs I got most estimates under half that price. Owner seemed very greedy to me.

Honest and fairly priced car care. Went recently for a check engine light and was told an engine sensor was the issue and common on my model to give false readings. They reset the sensor and it works great now. Saved me from paying for a $350 repair.

Made quick work of my problem on my old f350 brake and power steering line went and fixed it and didn't take me to the cleaners like another chain shop down the street did on another repair before i found them. Would definitely recommend these guys. Fast and honest.

Went there for a few times for state inspection (with online coupon). Last time also patched up a tire, but it costs $30. Missed my free tire patch in NYS. Heard that you can do $15 at walmart.

Took my car for inspection here for what should have been a straight forward process. They "found" issues worth $300+. Took the car elsewhere and passed the inspection with no issues. Another driver ahead of me was also suggested to "fix" various things before getting the stickers. This place seems to look hard "to find problems to fix". Not going back.Also, I went to this place because of a $39 coupon for both inspection and emission. Ended up paying around $60 for "not passing" it (again passed elsewhere with no issues). Not a big deal, just seems bait and switch at a smaller scale. Coupon is useless...

Fair and honest. Prices don't change like with large dealerships trying to get every dime out of you, they also worked on my car late Friday when I dropped it off and had it ready for me Saturday at 1pm. If I can't fix it myself I will bring it here.

I took my '04 Civic in to investigate why my steering wheel was shaking while driving. The shop diagnosed the issue within a few hours and offered a good, competitive price on the parts and labor. The Civic isn't shaking anymore. Very satisfied.

John and his team are very fair and knowledgeable. Love Pam's friendly curbside drop off and pickup. GVA has been servicing my vehicles for about 10 years and I have never had a complaint or reason to feel gouged.(Ladies: Another nice aspect of GVA is that no one there assumes, if you are a woman, you know nothing about cars.)

I have been going there for years and always received great services for a fair price. Always kept in the loop as my truck is in the shop and their findings. They are great accommodating day of problems and fitting service in that day.

Honestly I was a little worried when I read the latest review on this store. However, as all the stores I called previously did not take appointment for today, I had to take the risk to visit this store worrying the similar issues mentioned in another review.Unexpectedly, it turned to be great experience. John was a nice and honest person. He told me what I needed to replace or repair, and did not find any issues that did not exist as a previous customer said. I was quite satisfied with the service and their price.It s not easy to find the place though.

I bought a 14 year old Civic that needed several things repaired to pass inspection. Other inspection shops wouldn t take on the challenge, but John and the guys at Great Valley Automotive fixed everything at a very reasonable price electrical, suspension, exhaust, and emissions. I highly recommend them.

Went there for oil change, they honoured a local coupon without hesitation. It was without appointment but they could let me in. Good place to service your car. Seems nice and honest people/Mechanics.

My wife had an awful experience with great valley auto. It started when they overfilled her oil on a service change (and not just a little...like an inch too high on the dipstick). We didn't notice until over a month later...silly us for not double checking the shop's work, when her catalytic converter light came on and her ignition coils failed. A week after that, her water pump also failed. When they replaced the water pump, they forgot to put two bolts back in the engine mount. We found one of them on the driveway, but they told us that it wasn't a VW bolt. Two days later her engine fell out of the mount while she was driving. From working with the manger, he seems like he cares about the business and wants to do good work, but we have experienced and over-abundance of incompetence. I know cars break down from time to time, but her car had been extremely reliable up to the point when great valley auto worked on it for the first time. We spent over $2000 and then had to sell the car because my wife didn't feel comfortable driving it anymore.

I went there because I got a coupon in the mail. 40 for inspection and emissions and 20 for oil change. Wound up paying 140. They charged me 40 for synthetic oil which I did not ask for 11 for oil filter and 20 for labor just for the oil change. 12 for tags which I expected. 6 for cleaners and lubricants. What is that? Then 5 for hazmat disposal.

A really rustic setting, but they do great work and have never charged me more than was absolutely necessary. John, the owner, has impressive integrity and standards.

Wonderful experience and extremely trust worthy. Pls encourage local mechanics. I went for buyer inspection on saturday. Though it is pretty late they took up work on my request. They inspected for 40 mins and came up with a detailed report.
