Incredibly professional and delightful people.I was just driving through town when I had a vehicle issue - they weren't able to get me in that day, but they did manage to squeeze me in for a quick diagnosis to help me narrow down the problem and advise me on next steps. Professional, courteous, and straightforward guys the entire time.Would love to have my cars worked on by them again.

Wonderfully friendly staff and a cozy, quiet location in the country. I had to get a Daytime Running Light replaced and what took the longest was waiting for the part to arrive (no fault of Marlin's Auto, of course) but once it came in their mechanics had it plugged in and ready to go in 15 minutes of me getting there. They do great work, can't recommend them enough!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Marlin s saved the day! We were traveling from CT to SC when we got a battery light indicator, requiring us to stop in Lebanon. The next morning, a Friday, I rolled into Marlin s. They jumped right on it, confirming I had an alternator issue, and proceeded to get my vehicle squared away. I was so impressed with the professionalism of the staff and cleanliness of their shop. I also enjoyed talking to Ron, a local regular that happened to be in the shop that day. Marlin s is on a different level of good people. Through the entire experience I knew I had taken my car to the right place.

Recently took my fleet vehicle to Marlins. I was incredibly pleased with the process. The team had my best interest in mind, worked efficiently & provided top notch communication.This was truly the first auto shop in which I felt truly cared about my needs as a customer. Very professional and thorough. I love the warranty on their work that was done. That means a lot especially when they basically did a engine rebuild. Definitely will be going back and recommending them to family and friends.

Update 4.3.23: Marlin's made my vehicle even better! My clutch is smooth ans when I asked for the best all season tires they did it. Even better is they offered me a loaner car so that they can accomplish the big work and I am not without a vehicle for a few days. They really are the very best!Marlins is one of the last honest auto shops in the city. Friendly service and experts at their work. Vehicle required extensive repairs (full timing job, replace valve cover and gaskets, front brakes, and radiator hose). It is foreign vehicle (Range Rover Evoque) so they took a little extra time to figure things out to do the job right, but considering several other garages turned me away (after charging me for diagnostics), so we were pleased that they were willing to tackle the job! They did EXCELLENT work and my car is running like a champ again! If you re looking for an honest mechanic shop that cares about your vehicle like it s their own, I highly recommend Marlins Auto Diagnostics. I ve been using their shop for 2 years now and I ve been happy every single time. I just got my brake rotors replaced and was ready to pay my bill when Phil (who is great) informed me that he checked my file and that the rotors were actually under warranty and that the they were fully covered, no charge. They kept track of my file and verified that they weren t going to charge me for something that was supposed to last longer than they did. That s honesty! Would highly recommend for any mechanical or inspection service you need on your vehicle.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Superior service! I wanted a second opinion after a local dealership told me that my car needed $2,000 in repairs. Marlin's team did a thorough check of the alleged problem area and confirmed there were no issues, providing photographic evidence and offering possible reasons why the dealership's mechanics might have been mistaken. Great people to work with. They do quality work on everything. From what I see they give you the best price they can on the repair without compromising the quality of the repair. If they recommend a repair on your vehicle it is needed and good plan to let them do it. Very honest business. And I continue to take my three elderly cars to Marlin's. They do excellent work, they're friendly and honest. Their shop is beautiful! Needed work on my exhaust the other day and was expecting a big bill. They fixed it up nicely and cheaply - made me very happy. I had a great first experience with Marlin s. Phil and Marlin are very helpful and down to earth. When I called for an appointment, Phil clearly explained what the process would be, as well as the costs. My car was not safe to drive, so they let me use a loaner car until my car would be fixed.They fixed my car and it is such a relief that it is running properly and now I shouldn t have any other issues. A few days after I got my car back, Marlin sent me a text to confirm everything was running smoothly. I really appreciate the outstanding customer service and how Marlin and Phil have gone above and beyond. I highly recommend their services.

I've been taking my vehicles to Marlin's Auto for over 5 years. Marlin and his team are friendly, trustworthy and offer great service. They always alert me if they find an issue that I didn't know about, update me on the cost of repairs before they do them, and never try to oversell. I highly recommend them!

Vehicle is working well.Thanks to your friendly and knowledgeable staff.They made the bite of the cost of needing your vehicle repaired...... Bearable.No one likes when there vehicle breaks down.It's nice to know that there are still friendly people out here that thinks customer service is important. That Phil is a great guy to have on your front line of customer service. Thanks again. I'd definitely use them again.

I ve been to Marlin s twice for some repairs and every time it has been nothing short of exemplary. The cost is moderately comparable to that of a dealership, with the additional invaluable one-on-one customer service. Tom at the desk is extremely personable and the entire staff is reliable, diligent, honest and meticulous with their work. True professionals.I make the 40 minute drive out to Marlin s for a reason: they re just simply the best.

As a former mechanic, it's tough to swallow ones' pride and find an outside mechanic to work on the vehicles I would prefer to work on myself. My new traveling job doesn't allow the leisure of working on my own vehicles as much as I'd like, but I found Marlin's Auto Diagnostics online and was initially impressed with the calm respect that Phil had when I called to set up an appt. When I dropped my vehicle off, they treated me very well and made me feel the WARM & FUZZY we all would prefer when taking a chance on strange new things. Marlin showed me around his very tidy mechanic bays prior to working on my vehicle. I was extremely satisfied with, not only the service done to my vehicle, but the friendly communication that they maintained throughout the servicing. I've never felt more confident about recommending Marlin's to someone else and they have undoubtedly earned my business for future service work.

I have had good service done here before and I trusted your advice in what maintenance my car needed during my required inspection. Granted you did not pressure me into agreeing to the transmission flush, however I trusted in your advice to have this process done as part of general maintenance. To find later that the cost of $222.40 process was not recommended to be done on this car for at least another 40,000 miles. I know it is my responsibility to research need and cost before agreeing to have the work done, however I feel that you were not honest in even suggesting that this work to be done knowing how expensive this work is and it not needing to be done at this low millage! I am a widow and on a very fixed income,and trusted your garage to be honest . I really felt like a fool after bring a baked treat and thanking you for you help and kindness. I will be looking for another garage in the future as I feel I can not trust your service advice.

No one plans on their car breaking down. Nor is it a very pleasurable experience experience. Not only did Marlins do a great job finding and fixing the problem. But they also were so helpful with everything from finding a good tow company to accommodating me with a loaner car. Great customer service and non pushy when it comes to up sales. Definitely now my go to place for all my mechanical needs.

just have to thank Marlins for a exceptional experience. We had a car not running and needed it repaired quickly. called marlins and was treated great, told I could drop car off immediately and they would do their best to get it done by the following day. Much to my surprise they called later that day to tell me car was repaired!!! wow couldn't ask for more! Car is now running great .They are extremely professional, place is very neat and clean , they really pulled me out of a bind !! thank you and I will be back with my car for future repairs!!

I think it is difficult to find a mechanic you can trust without reservations. I have found that at Marlin's. I have been going to them for years and have never once questioned if I am getting the best service or their integrity. Like most people, my vehicle is a big part of my family s livelihood. Not just A to B but home to work. I need a vehicle I can count on to provide for them and get me back home to them. But a reliable vehicle can only stay that way if you have the right team of professionals to service and repair it.Marlin s friendly expert team took care of me when others had failed and my previous mechanic failed in a big way. Long story short, I needed a new engine. Marlin s was able to provide me a new engine, with a full warranty, install and test in less than a week for a reasonably fair price. They handled all of the logistics and their quote was right on the mark.I took a chance and trusted Marlin s and I m glad I did. I highly recommend you give them a call when you need your vehicle in expert hands.

I was looking at a used vehicle at a dealership nearby. My issue was that I live over 500 miles away! Tom and team to the rescue!! They went and picked up the truck, performed a very thorough evaluation and quickly got back to me with the results. Very fair price. I could not have been happier!! Very highly recommended. If I lived close by, they would be my all time service destination!!
