Had to go through the shock and awe of getting a new transmission. With Meenan, the proccess could not have been easier! From Steve to Randy and their techs, everyone was willing to explain what was needed and the associated costs in a clear and concise manner. They also provided a follow up inspection to ensure the work was still holding up to their standard. You will receive a better product for a lower price going through Meenan. 5+ stars highly recommend!!

2008 Mazda 3. Daughter s car. After boyfriend and local shop shmucks tried to fix it, she took it to dealer. Dad gets phone call .. Mazda wanted to install brand new transmission for $5.5k and not available for a few months. Sent car to Meenan, $1300 later ..FIXED. I ve actually waited a few weeks to write review as to ascertain it was a solid fix. So far so good. Good, knowledgeable people. Fair prices. Prompt service. Thanks.

Integrity, Honesty, Transparency, and Professionalism. I don't use these words lightly when talking about anything, and sadly the times I've been able to use these words when speaking of a business establishment have been decreasing over the years. The team at Meenan Transmissions are a true gem in the automotive service industry. I brought in my 2017 Focus ST for what I thought would be a simple transmission swap, but my vehicle had some other issues. The team at Meenan's were able to communicate the issues and offer a resolution. The performance of my vehicle and the condition I received it back in were beyond my expectation. If your looking for a place to get service for your vehicle this is the place to go. Let me be the friend that tells you "hey, you should take your car to Meenan's they'll get you sorted out." No need to second guess, these guys are pros!

Okay, I've never written a single review in my life but this one deserves a special attention. I've used Meenan's services several times and each time I'm stunned with professionalism of Steven and his team. These guys are super friendly, they will do an outstanding job on your car, everything is 100% transparent and well explained, the job will be done the quickest possible. Really great Transmission and Automotive shop run by experts. The owner was super knowledgeable and was clearly experienced in his business. Although the problem with my Infiniti's transmission was complex, they had the experience to quickly assess, repair, test, and return my car to me in a timely manner. I was originally recommended these guys from my primary mechanic and I'm happy I took their word.Service: Transmission

Steve Meenan is the man!As an Owner of a very busy service business, I have to keep my guys moving daily. A Ford dealer took over 2 months to finish a warranty transmission job. Never again!Steve Meenan and his crew never disappoint me when I have a transmission problem. The last transmission repair Steve had me back on the road in less than 3 days. Wow, now that's good service.Steve Meenan is extremely knowledgeable but also incredibly caring.I WILL NOT TAKE MY TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS TO ANYONE ELSE.I highly recommend using Meenan Transmissions for all your transmission repairs.

I brought my fiancee's 2010 Kia Forte here after the clutch blew out. After pricing out a new transmission, we decided to scrap the car. We had a scrap yard lined up to come pick up the car, but Steve with Meenan offered to scrap it for us, so we took him up on his offer. Its been almost a year and I still haven't received any scrap money. Every time I called I was given some excuse as to why it wasn't scrapped yet. They finally did scrap the car (about 6 months later), but still haven't contacted me or sent any payment. We should have just gone with our original plan.

Just got my car back from Meenan. They were able to find and fix the problem with my Toyota in almost a day! I found them through Google. They are local to me and what amazing people. After being told by another shop that we possibly needed a whole transmission, we took it to Meenan for a second opinion. We were expecting the worst, but Steve took a look and told us it was a very reasonable repair (just an adjustment on the shifter cable) and it was not nearly as expensive as we feared. If you want honest work, go to Meenan!

Our regular auto mechanic recommended we talk to Steve about the vibration we were feeling in the steering wheel. Steve took the Nissan Rogue for a drive and put it up on his lift. He spent an hour evaluating the transmission and drive shaft. He is knowledgeable, experienced and honest. PSA: Big shout out to Meenan Transmissions! After having my car diagnosed by a Doylestown dealership, who serviced the car for 5 years, with a resulting part replacement/labor estimate of $8000, I decided to go to Meenan Transmission for a second opinion. After 1.5 hours of driving and testing the car, a simple change was recommended to start. I was surprised with the amazing result!Meenan Transmission just saved me $8000 in repairs and possibly trading in the car. I cannot thank Meenan Transmissions enough for their time, efforts and knowledge. Added bonus they didn t charge me a dime for time to evaluate! Customer Service goes a long way with me!! Steve, Randy, Daryl, and the team did another great job for us. We had two family cars lose their transmission within a month. They had our Chrysler minivan up and running in four days!!!! So far so good. Thanks fellas!!!

These guys are awesome! Super knowledgeable and helpful! I blew my transmission in my Nissan, and took it to them, and Steve got me connected with Nissan directly to find out that I was still under warranty and covered. I went in expecting to spend thousands and was sent off knowing where to go, who to talk to when I got there, and what to say, and spent $0. Steve and Randy at Meenan took great care of me and my truck! A transmission replacement is a substantial investment and they understand. They walked me through the options and I was able to make an informed decision. The transmission they got had a great warranty and I feel confident with the work too. If you're reading this consider yourself lucky because Meenan Transmission is the best Transmission shop in the area. I brought my car to Meenan Transmission for a simple transmission swap and for a reasonable price they had me back on the road in just a few days.My car now drives like new. When I got home I took a look at the work and they went above and beyond because they carefully routed and tucked away all my wires from the hot exhaust and I also got new hardware/bolts.If your Transmission is on its way out or has failed this is the shop to take your car to.

I highly recommend Meenan Transmission: My car was having some serious gear issues when I pulled in I didn't have an appt. Steve Meenan used a diagnostic tool to tell me the issue was with the first gear. On my way to work, he offered to give me a ride so I wasn't stuck, we communicated a few days later then several more times. Even though Steve did not provide any service he certainly went out of his way to make sure that I was alright. Steve certainly has great business ethics, keep up the good work.

Highly recommended. These guys did a rebuild for my 99 F250 work truck with a 4R100. Got a modified accumulator body, along with other upgrades for the truck and trans, and couldn't be happier! Trans feels better than ever. I had a separate issue with the truck a couple years later. Called up, and Meenan had me running in no time. Steve is the man.Service: Transmission

Hands down the best, most honest professionals you could ask for. Steve stands by his work and it shows. I had a unrelated part issue and Meenan took care of it in a timely manner and no questions asked. Meenan Transmission is the only company I would ever recommend for your transmission needs. They rebuilt and upgraded my Ford 4R100 transmission and I couldnt be happier. Steve had the best upgrade options at a price I could afford. Money well invested in this company.

I own a 99' Ford Ranger with 175,000 miles. Last week, while backing up I heard something snap. It turns out the rear band in my transmission had snapped. Being new to the Lansdale area, a local mechanic referred me to Meenan to take a look at my transmission. From the get go, Steve and the guys at the shop were on point in terms of customer service, explaining to me all of my options and describing the problems in layman's terms. Steve even took a video of the transmission after taking it apart, explaining everything that was wrong with it and what exactly needed to be fixed. Most importantly, Meenan worked with me from a financial standpoint and were very flexible. I explained to them that I was only looking to get another year or 2 out of the vehicle and did not see the value in replacing the entire transmission. At the same time, my wife and I are not ready to take on another car payment so getting my truck fixed was imperative. Repairing transmissions with that much mileage is not common but they went above and beyond to get the transmission on my Ranger fixed and running again. I know there was a lot of labor put on my truck over the course of a week and I am grateful that I found a place with such knowledgeable employees and fantastic customer service. I plan on taking all of my future auto needs, transmission or not, to Meenan. Thank you again Steve!

A friend recommended Meenan's after having his transmission repaired there several years ago. I had Meenan evaluate my 2004 Honda Odyssey as reverse was not working properly. Steve was fantastic in evaluating, explaining and videotaping the issue with the transmission. After the repair, I stopped by as there was a check engine light. Steve used an engine analyzer, provided me the list of codes and cleared the codes before leaving. An O2 code was recorded and confirmed why the engine idle speed was fluctuating. He suggested the ground wire be cleaned as it appeared dirty and could be providing a bad signal. Since cleaning the ground connection termination, the engine idle is working flawlessly. I stopped by for my two week check while Steve was on vacation. Randy was great! Meenan provides great customer service!Service: Transmission

Great service, dealing with Meenan. Steve and Randy, were always readily available to answer any questions I had regarding the work being done and the time it would take. They went way 'above and beyond' with their customer service in dealing with me and the problems with my car. Not to mention, my car is running like new, before the trans ever failed. I don t usually write online reviews for businesses I use but I have to make an exception for Meenan Transmission. These guys are honest, professional, technical experts who stand behind their work to make sure transmissions are fixed right. I took a 1997 Honda Civic in for repair after the transmission had been slipping. Steve (the owner) and Randy (the general manager) examined the car and presented three options for repair with three separate price points. Meenan Transmission fixed the transmission and gave the car back to me promptly. After a couple weeks of driving I noticed what seemed to be a new but extremely subtle shifting issue, so Randy told me to bring the car back in to be on the safe side. Sure enough, there was a problem with a solenoid. Ultimately the right fix for the car meant not only replacing the solenoid but dropping the transmission all over again and Meenan did it at their cost! Removing the transmission to get the work done right is not a cheap fix, and disreputable shops could have easily told me to ignore the issue since it was almost undetectable. The car is now running great and perfect for keeping in the city. Kudos to Steve Meenan for the way he runs his shop. If you have transmission problems, do yourself a favor and visit Meenan Transmission first. They ll work with you to make sure your transmission is running like new.

It is very tough to find mechanics that do great work and are honest at the same time. Steve and crew are the best in all aspects from customer service to doing the work right the first time.. They are very thorough, explain the problem in detail and are a pleasure to deal with. I would trust them with any one of my vehicles not only for transmissions but for anything that ails your cars. I am honestly impressed.

My regular mechanic was convinced my transmission was shot. I did some research and heard great things about Meenan. So I had my car towed for a 2nd opinion. They were able to correctly diagnose my 2014 Ford Fusion. I only needed a Speed sensor and pigtail.Randy and Steve saved me thousands of dollars. I am very grateful!Service: Transmission

I had been having issues with my care for several weeks. I took it to a mechanic who fixed a transmission fluid leak, but when I drove it off their lot I noticed a noise coming from the front of the car. Meenan Transmission was recommended to me, and they quickly found that there were bolts missing from the heat shield. My car was available to pick up the following day and it was a very pleasant experience - I will absolutely be calling Meenan Transmission for future issues.

We took our truck in for what we thought was a transmission problem (dealership couldn t figure it out) Meenan s figured out that it was in fact not the transmission and was an electrical problem. From there they took care of our vehicle to get the repair done. Excellent, honest service. Wouldn t take our truck to anyone but them.
