My original review is in quotes at the end of this edited review for context.I am amending my review as requested by this company. So it was just shy of two weeks, a week and three days since initial contact between this company and my husband. We were told when the tech came out and did the measurements that we would hear from them by the end of the day with a summary of the repair and total cost. Four days later we finally received the invoice and signed off on having the window repaired. At this time we were told we would be contacted to set up a date and time to do the repairs by the end of the day. This was a Monday. During the week two calls were placed by us attempting to get in touch with someone about scheduling. Both times we were told we would be called back after lunch. No calls ever came. So the next Monday I wrote my original review. Hours later the call finally came to schedule but it was because of my review. Had I not left the review would we have ever been called back? They wanted me to remove or amend my review.On this phone call I agreed to to having a tech come on Tuesday between 1 and 3. This was the only time slot offered to me so I agreed to get the window repaired so my autistic son's room would be warmer on these very cold nights, sooner rather than waiting another week or more. Tuesday comes and I am waiting for the repair tech. Just after 3 I received a call from the tech saying he would be at our place by 3:15. Tech shows up and needs to know what window and says he needs to work from the outside. Ok, fine. I show him the window and he says the storm window needs to opened. Again I understand why but I have already been cut by this broken window trying to get the storm window shut so my son won't freeze at night. I explain I am not getting cut again. As the window repair man he has insurance for accidents related to repairing windows and cuts. He gifted me with attitude and I took him to my son's room so he could open the storm window and allow him to remove glass and start his job. He was quick and seemed to be efficient in his repair. Also was much more amendable after my son had an episode of being upset over not being allowed in his room. For context my son is 15 severely autistic and non verbal. He stomped and grabbed at his sibling as we tried to keep him away from the tech and glass. But the repair was done and seems to be fine.I will also add that the tech left without his ladder and left the caulk tube on the grass. This is a rental property so a shared lawn and most of my neighbors have dogs that use the lawn. So besides the cleaning I expected to do after, to make sure all the glass was removed from my son's carpet (vacuum and wipe down window sill), I also had to pick up the yard. The tech called me about his ladder and wanted to leave it till morning. The ladder was left leaned up against my son's window. I asked about wind and safety and he then said he would swing back tonight but sounded annoyed.My one star review is in reference to this company and their lack of professionalism. From the scheduling department, to the techs, even the upper management who is the one requesting I "remove or amend" my review. This is not how you give customer service."Two weeks ago we called about having my son's window repaired, broken pane of glass. They were super fast to come out and do an estimate. Sent the information and we agreed to the terms and price. Two weeks later and the window still isn't repaired. We call every other day to be told we will get a call back after lunch to schedule the repair and no call back. After two weeks the temps are now dropping severely and my child's window still isn't repaired. We have left countless messages and still no response to schedule the repair. This is terrible customer service. If your not professional enough to call a customer back after countless attempts to schedule then perhaps you need to reevaluate your staff and their ability to perform their jobs."

From Start to finish a great experience. Estimator was knowledgeable. He took his time, explained my options and discussed features. Ordering was a breeze. Installation was perfect. Installers were neat, clean and extremely professional.i ordered a shower door for a new bathroom. I called several glass companies and received 4 estimates. Alderfer, was not the cheapest, but it was obvious that they knew what they were doing. Other estimates just had me email the measurements for a quote. 2 companies came out but did a quick measurement and gave me a price. Alderfer took time measuring the exact dimensions and explained my options for trims, install location, swing direction, etc. I am very glad I went with Alderfer and would definitely use them again.

We recently contracted with Alderfer Glass Company to install glass in our newly renovated shower in the master bath. We were very pleased with the end result which looks absolutely great. The crew that did the installation were very professional, personable and so quiet that we barely knew they were even there. It was a pleasure to have had them in our home. They were very courteous and readily answered any questions that we had. We would not hesitate to call on Alderfer again should the need arise for their services.

I bought glass walls and doors for two showers. The quality of the materials and workmanship is terrific. My wife and I take great pride in our home and Alderfer is exactly the kind of company I want to work with. They sent two installation teams so we only had workers here for one day. The men were quiet, clean, well-informed about their product, interesting to talk to - they were just great. I'd not consider any other company for glass installations and whole-heartedly recommend them to anyone looking for exceptional service,

I had a great experience with Alderfer Glass. They installed a custom shower enclosure/door and a mirror wall in my gym Great on site measurements and consultation with Dale. The install squad of Mike and Jeff were awesome. Great communication, super courteous and attentive, they protected my brand new flooring expertly during the job, and CLEANED UP as if they were never here. They cared about the job as much as I did.I'm willing to pay for great quality and service and these guys were pros that didn't disappoint at all. I'm not one to post of reviews, but felt compelled to share my happiness and endorsement of these guys.Thanks!

I could not have been more pleased with my experience with Alderfer Glass. The technician called well in advance of his arrival. He prepared the site and began his work. When he finished, he meticulously cleaned up every speck and surely left the site cleaner than he found it! He was friendly and professional and it was a pleasure to have him in my home. I have already recommended Alderfer Glass to friends at work should they need any glass work done.

If you need glasswork, door repair or new doors - Alderfer glass will make it happen!The 2 gentleman arrived on time. They executed a great job hanging 3 new doors on my home. They were professional and Polite. They left myhome looking even more beautiful and you would never know they were there since they were meticulous in cleaning up any thing that needed their attention. My hats off to Alderfer glass for great service!Highly recommend them!

Found the shower frame and doors we loved and they really make a statement in the newly remodeled bathroom. The installer did a very thorough job and we could not be happier with our new installation.Service was professional and timing was as promised. Thank You

We noticed our dining room window was cracked on the outside pane. We called Alderfer Glass Company and they came to do the estimate the following morning. The installer was wonderful. He was good at what he was doing and very personable. We enjoyed interacting with him. The price was fair and we couldn't be more pleased with the result. We would definitely recommend Alderfer for window pane replacement.

Alderfer is always terrific. Reliable, timely and most of all quality repair. My last job was a repair of a commercial window. Ron called me ahead of time to let me know the ETA. He came on time, with everything and made the repair quickly. Very professional. Pleasant tech to deal with and cleaned up at the end! Thanks, Ron and Alderfer Glass.

Alderfer glass was recommended by my plumber who was doing my bathroom renovation. I emailed LOTS of questions and received incredibly prompt and helpful answers. When I was ready to proceed with the job, they gave me a timely appointment and showed up exactly when they said they would. The hardware for the door I wanted was backordered and they gave me an expected date it would be available. it was available on schedule and they came out quickly and did the installation. The shower doors are beautiful - better than what I imagined and expert installation. Worth every penny. Would use them again without hesitation.

BEST IN BUSINESS!! I needed one side of sliding mirrors for my bathroom Medicine cabinet. Took it here, was told it d take till end of week, got it back the next day! Beautiful work and best prices you can t beat it! Was $80 on amazon, was only $27 here and got it back less than 24 hours later. Super friendly staff as well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND for anyone needing glass cut, repaired, windows, doors, bathrooms etc. I will be going for any glass needs in the future.Services: Glass fitting, Glass cutting, Glass restoration & repair

Alderfer Glass did an excellent job templating, scheduling and installing shower glass in our remodeled master bath. The materials and workmanship are of very high quality. The installers were meticulous in their install and were very courteous. They kept my home very clean throughout the install. My only recommendation would be to improve on the lead time (3+ weeks) from templating to install, if possible. Alderfer Glass has previously installed our front entry door and will be replacing window glass for 2 of our windows. I would highly recommend Alderfer Glass.

Needed to have a broken window glass replaced. On a recommendation, I called Alderfer Glass Co. Within a day I had a service rep out to look at what needed to be replaced and shortly thereafter I was notified my replacement glass was ready for installation. Upon arrival the installer was very polite, friendly and professional taking great care not to disrupt our daily routine while he went about his work. It was finished in a heartbeat, everything back in its place and called for our approval. TOP NOTCH! It is a pleasure doing business with a Company who exceeds you expectations. I highly recommend Alderfer Glass Co for glass service and installation.

I simply trust Alderfer Glass. They have done many jobs for me. Two shower glass installs, replaced window glass and recently installed a new front door. They are punctual, deliver very good work, are communicative (including easy communications via email). I recommend them enthusiastically.

Extremely professional, quick to respond and quality workmanship. The day after I called, I had an estimate for a shower enclosure and cracked window. The price was hundreds less than another competitor who took days to come out and then give me my estimate. The workers arrived on time, were very clean and even gave me a goodie bag for my shower with a squeegee and glass cleaner. They thoroughly explained the warranty and my shower. I will use Alderfer again and highly recommend them.

We had a set of 5 windows in our 2-story foyer and one of the 5 windows was foggy (the seal had been broken) when we moved in. I contacted Alderdfer and they came right out, and provided a very reasonable estimate. Within 2 weeks the glass was installed and it looks great. The guy who came out was very friendly and quick. Even though this was a small job, they treated us like it was a big one. When we're ready to replace all windows, we will certainly use Alderfer.

We have done several projects with Alderfer Glass Co. The team both sales and installation were informative and good to work with in our home.We worked on glass to cover our deep kitchen window sill, our dining room table to preserve the surface against daily use and latest is a glass panel in our master shower to be rid of the shower curtain.We are pleased with all three jobs. I have contacted this company for three different services: One to cut a glass for a table that broke when we moved from KY to PA. Second ,to replace the windshield for my Nissan; and third to replace a big, big, window glass in my house. They have always been top of the line. They have always done an excellent service. Their work is the best. They are very responsible, punctual and their prices are reasonable. If you want a job well done please do not hesitate to contact them. They are indeed the best in this area.

Perfection from start to finish and at very point of contact. Jeremy M. provided accurate measurements, helpful suggestions and quote in less than 24 hrs. Linda K. was a joy to work with! Provided customer service at highest level and never dissapointed. Adam and Matt installed shower panels in highly professional manner, left space impecably clean and had great interpersonal skills.Will highly recommend Alderfer! Job well done guys!

I'm very pleased with the work done by Alderfer Glass Co. I have an old house with old windows and one of them was not easy to do. I am happy to say that the three window panes I needed look great and the person who did the work put everything back really neatly and vacuumed thoroughly. I highly recommend this company.

Everything about buying our new shower doors was great. Each step of the way from stopping at the Lansdale/Broad Street Office, looking at choices, choosing, and having their workers measure, order and install went smoothly. Everyone involved was pleasant, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Alderfer Glass did a wonderful job installing a very large mirror over a double bowl vanity for my new bathroom. This mirror had 3 cutouts on it for 3 small lights on (through) the mirror itself. It looks beautiful! My contractor notices on upper right corner starting to pull away but was able to put a pc or wood between the mirror and the window frame to just hold it in place while the heavy glue dried. Note that it was pouring rain that day with an unusually high humidity level. All is well now. Looks gorgeous!

I didn't have a lot of time I was selling my house and I needed to have 4 windows repaired. estimator came out, got the parts ordered and set up my appointment.
