This place is fishy. Do not waste your time or money. We have taken our cars here for a few years now. The draw was the cheap oil changes and inspection coupons they offer to get you in. First couple went off without a hitch and we were satisfied with the service. Then things changed... I brought my car in because my antifreeze was leaking and Elliot replaced the water pump. Over $800 later brought the car home and the antifreeze was completely empty again. Thankfully they towed it back to shop free of charge. Elliot said a hose came loose from the replacement which caused the leak. He fixed it free of charge. But no apology for the inconvenience or admitting the mistake. Well enough and we overlooked it... Then took my husband's other car for service and all of the sudden his water pump also needed to be replaced? Another $800. Coincidence? Who knows. Next I take my car in for an oil change. I use a coupon but they failed to tell me the coupon can only be used for standard oil change and that my car takes synthetic. So they put standard oil in my car...(even a quick lube place like valvoline would pay close attention to detail and bring that up with a customer. They look at your make/model and tell you what oil you need. Valvoline did that when I called. But Elliot's doesn't? They lack attention to detail and simply do not care) I bring the car home and a burnt rubber/ engine smell is coming through the vents. I call back and they tell me to bring it back in to look at it. Elliot said oil was all over some turbo part and they cleaned it up. That tells me they do a sloppy quick job on oil changes. I've changed my own oil many times and know it's a simple task to pour the oil directly in with a funnel to avoid spills. After picking my car up I realize my gas tank is completely empty. I KNOW it was not close to empty and there is now way they could have emptied it by just driving it around the block...fishy. Bring the car home and smell is gone but now my check engine light is on, my car makes an awful noise and the car vibrates when idling. I called back to let them know this and have gotten ZERO calls back. No returning my messages. No admitting fault for anything. Elliot's is dishonest and seems to hire sloppy mechanics. Having to take a car back multiple times after being service is NOT good service. I'll spare further details because you should get the picture by now. Take your car somewhere else. The cheap oil changes and inspections are NOT worth the heartache. Go elsewhere and save your sanity.

Forgive me for so many words, but there are that many wonderful things I could say about Elliott, owner of Elliott's Auto Service. We have been getting our cars serviced by him for over 15 years; from inspections to replacing our transmission. Our Nissan Rogue needed repaired. After it was serviced, it continued making a noise. Even Lancaster Nissan could not diagnose the problem. Elliott refused to accept this. He said, "This is personal!"Working as late as 830pm, he and his crew eventually discovered it was a malfunctioning "Nissan" part. After convincing Lancaster Nissan to provide him with another new part and, making additional modifications, the problem was resolved to our satisfaction. What a professional, dedicated, sincere, thoughtful, and persistent man Elliot is. I would unequivocally endorse and recommend Elliot's Auto Service.

I was charged $349 for a new battery and labor. I wasn't even asked if that was ok with me/my budget. The guy was pretty dry and short about itAwful

After getting a coupon from localflavor i thought I was getting a deal. On the contrary you will get a huge bill... Mine was estimated at 400$. With rotors which they said are warped...not bad just warped and light bulbs...so I didn't pass inspections! Which in March were inspected to be at a 7 from Mr. Tire.The person before me too got an estimate and didn't pass inspection. I will be taking my car to my regular person... Do not fall for the coupons... Buyers beware. I will not be returning here.

I went to this workshop by recommendation, I wanted to make repairs to a relative's car, and despite the fact that the budget was high, I was decided to do it, of course the car is not new, it is old, but it belongs to the family (sole owner ), I paid for the revision and supposedly a wash that was going to be done to detect possible engine oil leaks, something that when I got home it was easy to detect that the wash was not done, they agreed to call me back to give me the budget and they did not do it either, it is obvious that their big business is charging to review, I do not recommend them, I felt cheated. And I leave this comment with the sole purpose that it does not happen to another person.

I have been dealing with Elliot for many years. He is always professional and a true gentleman. I had three vehicles that needed inspection by the end of August. Elliot scheduled each one a day apart. The last one was my wife's car.I brought it in on Thursday right before Labor Day weekend. That night Elliot called me and told me the car needed front tires and alignment. The next day the tires were delivered around 2:00. Now it was Friday his garaged was packed with customers cars they were trying to get done before the holiday weekend. Elliot promised me they would get her car done before they left the shop that night. At around 7:00 we got the call the car was ready. Most auto service centers would not have gone the extra mile to make sure my wife had her car for the weekend.Do yourself a favor stop in get to know Elliot you'll be glad you did. He and his crew are fair, honest and reliable.

Bought a local flavor and went to get inspection. Wow unbelievable said I needed new rotors because there was rust on them. Took it home and set up appointment with them for a different day. Took it to two different inspection business, both of them said rotors were not needed. Took it back to him and he argued with me. I lost money in this deal because I had to take it to an honest place that passed inspection. I am writing this 3 years later and ready for this...... I still don't need rotors....hmmmmmm

Elliot and his team at Elliot s Auto go above and beyond to make sure your vehicle is in its best and safest condition. I have never felt as if Elliot is taking advantage or making things up to get a little more money, and his pricing is very reasonable. We recently relocated from Arizona and needed our cars inspected. Not having experience with local automotive garages, we kind of blindly choose Elliot's Auto Service and are so happy with our decision. We always kept up with car repairs but there is no inspection in Arizona so we weren't sure what to expect. In the past two years of dealing with Elliot, he has earned our trust and respect. Highly recommend!

Update 2019: This garage continues to exceed all of my expectations. The staff is always extremely accommodating, friendly and will try their best to work around our schedules as much as possible.They are a busy garage; as they should be, and they always go the extra mile to follow up when work is complete or to schedule your next appointment.You can feel confident bringing your car here, they will never steer you wrong!Original 2018: Good customer service. Had a coupon for an inspection and emissions, and it didn't cost anything else but the value of the coupon. I recommend them for honesty and will do business with them. Very friendly...Thumbs

Took my car to Elliot's for the first time as I'm looking for a new garage. Guess I have have to keep looking. Front brakes failed, ok. But $400+, just for the front, no way. I told them that I usually do my own brakes and would do the repair. As a result, someone in the garage must have been upset by that and torqued my lug nuts down so hard I need a 4' leverage bar to break them loose.Never use them again. You can go ahead take other customers to the cleaners.

I had been taking both of my cars to another garage and after a few visits I just lost trust in their repairs. I got a reference to check out Elliot's and it was the best decision I have made with cars. Elliot and his staff knows what they are doing, gets it done right and at a good price with no BS. I've started having all my family and friends go there and they are as impressed as I am.Bottom line, give them a call if you have any thoughts about your current shop and see the difference.

Well, Elliot is a nice guy. For balancing motors a bit expensive, but it took him 6 months no call no text for us to have to give up all hope he was going to due the rest of the work he promised he could do on our car. We were more than patient with him. Would not recommend him for anything other than balance a motor but get ready to pay.

I had an appointment at 830 am for a re-inspection I couldn't make the appointment on time so the night before I dropped my keys off in the Dropbox. I spent the day calling and calling to see if it was ready no one answered the phones I left a message and still no response back ,a around 1 pm I got fed up and had a friend take me up there the car was ready but no one bothered to let me know . I will not be returning to this business again. It's one in a million if you get through to them via phone call they definitely need to staff more receptionists there. I can't complain about them being dishonest but as far as communication goes they get zero stars. How do you run a business when you don't answer your phones or return calls in a timely manner?

Car needed an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation. After recently moving to the Lancaster area, I decided to give Elliot's a whirl. Dropped off the car in the morning before opening hours, received a call not even an hour later stating everything was finished and I was given my final price. I stopped in after work to pick up the car, and asked how my brakes and tires were looking. The mechanic was happy to summarize the components and give me an estimate on the remaining life. All in all, I was charged $58 (used an inspection coupon). Everything was completed in a timely manner, mechanics were helpful and friendly, and most importantly, I was given a great price.

I have been going to Elliott's for about 2 years now. I must say they are good mechanics. HOWEVER, they always overcharge me for services. No matter what I go there for, they always seem to find something else wrong. I never leave their shop without paying at least $100 or more. My advice is to take caution and ask questions about extra charges.

My son went to Elliott s with a $24.95 coupon for inspection and free oil change. They failed his inspection siting pitted rear rotors and leaking exhaust system as the reason. Cost to do the repairs? $700! My son paid the $24.95 and took his car to our mechanic for a 2nd opinion. Found out you can t fail an inspection for pitted rotors. The rotors have to be bad and his weren t. As for the exhaust leak, the leak was in the pipe. His exhaust system itself was fine. They sealed the leak without having to replace the entire exhaust system as Elliott s was going to do. Cost of inspection and repair - $145.DON T go to Elliott s!! Not to be trusted!

I purchased a deal on Localflavor for Elliot's Auto Service and used the coupon just recently for an inspection, oil change, and tire rotation for my Jeep Liberty. Elliot and his staff were very professional and very courteous...and most of all, HONEST. I would recommend them. UPDATE: third time back to Elliot and still impressed! October 2017 update... I now use Elliot's Auto for all of my vehicles. Oh...and I am not a family member or friend of Elliot, but just a person who writes honest reviews when compelled to do so by good customer service!

Went for inspection and they try to throw me a $630 bill..I know pretty much about cars..They try to say I needed a bunch of things done..They are good for trying to take you for a dumb ass...They got me for $159...Just walked out with a bill with out having anything done to my truck...They will get you...Warning stay away!! Most of this reviews are done by there family and friends...

Gotta say, with all the shops out there taking advantage of your ignorance, Elliots is open and honest with what you need. They don't put pressure on making you do anything, but they let you know what's wrong. I've gone there a few times for transmission oil issues, there was a leak, brakes, inspection and basic maintenance. Elliot really has a habit of hiring staff that are professional, with precise expertise, but are pretty chill and down to earth and tend to talk to you like you're an equal versus someone below them. When questioning them about price, they're again honest and explain in detail each step that led them to that total. Would recommend to anyone with car knowledge, and those with fear of not knowing who to go to for car issues.

They do a good job keeping my 2000 ford ranger with 250,000 miles on the road. Replaced my clutch and did rear axle work for a fair price and guarantee the work. Good garage and do quality work.

I would avoid this place. They tried scamming my girlfriends car by saying brakes were bad and needed new lines. I did the brakes and lines myself and confirmed with another shop they were fine. They wanted $800+ for a small inspection.
