Although kind, they hustled me into a new tire. Was visiting, ran over a piece of metal, threw on my bicycle tire, and called to get a permanent patch. They said no problem. I got there, and they told me it couldn't be patched. As it wasn't on the side wall, I didn't see a reason it couldn't be, but he flat out refused, saying he wouldn't. Reluctantly, I got one new tire, but I kept my tire. Brought it back to my tire shop back home. They patched it right up and basically said I got hustled. Knew as much when the 20-30 minute job became nearly 2 hours as they returned asking if I wanted them to put on a new wiper knowing well enough mine were fine as I change them myself. Do not trust them. I get being a business, but swindling is not good business.

The service advisor, Chris did a great job explaining to me in detail the condition of the wear items on my vehicle, including giving me a heads up on how much life I probably had left in my tires and brakes. This helps me budget for the future and plan for my vehicle maintenance. Everyone hates getting surprised with necessary brake jobs. It is very nice to have a guesstimate as to how much longer these things will last, along with an written estimate of how much it will probably cost. I also love how Chris always tells me about the big upcoming sales they are having so that I can take advantage of them in case I wanted to do some of that maintenance a few months early but save $100 or $200 when they are having a big event going on.

The service light came on in our 2020 countryman for the brake fluid. I asked the gentlemen to check the fluid while they did the inspection. turns out the light must be time based and the fluid test was under 10 PPM. they recommended not to change it at this time. I appreciate the honesty from the staff every time i visit.

Do not bring your car here for an inspection they will find any little thing to fail your inspection so you can pay hundreds of dollars to get work done. The guys in the front was nice until I pointed out how the windshield wiper they were pushing for me to get repaired for streaking was ripped and flapping when I was going to leave that wasn t happening when I brought it there. The one guy got super defensive and upset that I was upset my windshield wiper was not the same way it was when I brung my car to them. He then said they ll replace them for free even tho they didn t break them. Ok well who did because it certainly was not this way when I brung it here even after the last time they suggested I get it fixed and I can t see what s going on in the back. I got really nice used tires from smiths instead of paying over $600 from them after the first time I bring my car here a month ago and they tried to say they weren t good tires and failed my safety inspection yet again. This is all after I spent $400 to get my brakes and rotors done. I ve never had to go through anything like this for a car inspection and I take my car to reputable companies. Bottom line is they want to suck you dry of hundreds of dollars before passing your inspection. I will never come here again and I ll make sure to spread the word on how the situation was handled probably because I m a woman and didn t have a man present with me it was easy to get over on me and get hostile with me.

The team at Firestone Edwardsville is efficient, accomodating and very knowledgeable. I am single and live alone, and in most cases I have my car repaired on the same day, which is invaluable to me. I have never had a repair that didn't work in all the years I have been a customer of Firestone Edwardsville. Thanks team!

Despite obtaining prior permission to hosting a fundraising event for a young man who was paralyzed in an accident, Firestone in Kingston decided to renege on the agreement in the middle of the fundraising event. Their business ethics are, quite frankly, disappointing and it brings into question their personal morals. While I hope they can improve in the future, I cannot bring myself to patronize their business at this time and will be encouraging those I know to follow suit.

In mid July, 2022, I scheduled a 1 p.m. appointment to have my oil changed and tires rotated. I arrived at 12:55. At the check in desk, I asked if they were able to also do an alignment and was told yes. I asked approximately how long all of this would take and I was told about an hour. So, I sat in the waiting room. I noted my car wasn't moved into the shop area until about 1:40. By 3 p.m., I decided to take a walk and I returned around 3:30, certain my car would be finished. It was not. So, I went to the desk to inquire as to the progress and the alignment still wasn't even started. As I had plans for dining out, I couldn't wait any longer so I cancelled the alignment. I was told that they were short staffed, NOT due to covid, but due to people on vacation. That being said, I would think the proper thing to do was to not OVERBOOK appointments and NOT to take walk-ins until you performed the scheduled appointments. I can say, this experience was no "jiffy lube".Service: Oil change

Been coming to Firestone for years now, and I always have a good experience. They may be a little more expensive than some places, but it's not by a lot, and I believe it's because they offer such good warranties on their products and services.

Every time I go in they talk me into more services then what I originally went for, also they break a stud and want to charge me for it even though I ain't the one that broke it. This getting to be ridiculous and I'm not going back again.

Been utilizing this location for years & years... Have always been treated right... Provides a local garage feel as I am known on a first name basis...! Capable of completing many vehicle related tasks. Recommended if you are looking for a garage/ oil change/ tire shop in the local area.

Awesome place of service! The out most professional and kind facility I have been to yet! Family oriented since I had to bring my child with me for services. The staff there was super friendly and very hard working! I give this company 5 stars and 100% work ethic! I will NEVER go anywhere else again! Will be referring people here!!!!!! Thank you so much the staff at firestone especially the manager who was very educated and detail oriented with answering any concerns I had!!!

Great place for service. Look over my vehicle well and I was made aware of some work that needed to be done. They did the work in timely manner and reassure me it was safe for my family and I. Will be coming back for more work. Always a pleasure doing business. For every bad review, I m sure the owners will post a good review. Laughable. You guys shut down an approved fundraising car wash at your Kingston location and then shut it down. But if it was little girls and boys out there washing cars, you d be okay with it. It says a lot about your character as a person and as a business you should have done better.Service: Wheel alignment

I highly recommend not scheduling a fundraiser with this business. We pre-arranged a fundraiser car wash for a disabled man. Which began at 10am. At 11:30 am they shut down our fundraiser claiming it was a safety issue. However, could not identify to us what the safety issue was after asking multiple times the man from Firestone stated that our fundraiser was irrelevant & that a supposed manager had driven by and didn t like how many people were awaiting a car/bike wash. There were many people lined up waiting for a wash and I can only assume they didn t like the crowd that was there to support waiting patiently for a wash.It was honestly devastating how uncompassionate the staff was from the moment we got there. I doHowever highly recommend PHANTOMS CYCLES in Wyoming for all your car wash fundraiser needs! They allowed us to move our fundraiser to their location with an open heart & arms! Now that s a family friendly business !! & also have a great location right on Wyoming ave! & I would actually like a corporate manager from Firestone to send me contact information. Thank you

Was very busy .the two young people before me were getting major work done separately and both seemed in shockSo I did not wait to be shocked too and I left without waiting for my car to be examed as I was imagining shock myself.place had 5 bays filled with equal number of mechanics on a Saturday afternoon

UPDATE: While the initial service was very lacking, the store manager, Chris, contacted me and apologized. He offered a generous discount and was very attentive to me and communicated consistently and clearly. I appreciate all he did to make it right.2 weekends in a row I sat waiting for 4 hours only to be told when I finally decided to ask for an estimated time frame that no work had been done on my car. I received no phone call either time to inform me of the issue. I know they could have called me, because they had called me previously several times.The first day I dropped my car off for an inspection and went to walk around. I got a call that they would need to replace a part in order to get the hood open, and that they had to call around to get the part and would call me later with more info. Done walking around, I went and sat in the waiting area for several hours until half an hour before closing I finally asked for an update, only to be told they hadn't been able to get the part. I had received no call or communication about this at all. I arranged for them to let me know when they got the part, and ultimately scheduled an appointment for the following weekend.At the scheduled appointment I dropped my car off, they confirmed what would be done (replacing the part for the hood and the inspection) and I went to walk around. I came back and again sat for several hours in the waiting area. After receiving no communication from them, I asked for an update and they told me they hadn't been able to work on the car because the mechanic who does that work was not in that day. They did not tell me this when I scheduled the appointment, they didn't tell me when I dropped the car off despite confirming what work was scheduled to be done, and they didn't bother to call me when the other mechanic brought the car in and realized no one there could do the work (they told me the car had been brought in but no work done on it when that mechanic realized what needed to be done).No one bothered to contact me either time, and instead left me waiting for hours. They had no explanation when I asked why I hadn't been contacted. This is not the first time I've had problems with them, but it will be the last time.

Shut down a fundraiser an hour in after agreeing to let the car wash happen. They said it was bad for business. Just last weekend a group of young children had a fundraiser in the same location. All we were doing was trying to raise money for a young man to get wheelchair that he can operate with his chin. Never in a million years would one think any company would do such a horrible thing.

I've been dealing with Firestone for years. I also used to recommend them to anyone who asks. I'm a mechanic, but I don't have access to an alignment rack. I purchase lifetime alignments from this location on every vehicle I own. They will no longer get any future business or recommendations from me after my most recent experience. In short, I brought in one of my vehicles for an alignment. Waited on site for nearly 2hrs for them to complete the alignment. When they gave the vehicle back, I immediately noticed the alignment wasn't correct and returned to the store. The front desk associate then informed me the alignment was never actually completed and made up an excuse about the vehicle having 2 different rear wheels(exact same size tires, and that doesn't change the front end alignment). I then had to speak to the shop manager, who basically tried to blame me and only asked questions about the different wheel in the rear. The wheel was never the problem. The lying technician was. After explaining that I actually do know what I'm talking about, they agreed to align the front end properly.I feel sorry for the customers that are not mechanics. They wouldn't even know that services weren't completed, and if they did, they would then be told it's their own fault. That's bad business.

At first, it was all smooth sailing. Service was great. However, the past 2 times it was a nightmare. We booked an appointment on a Sunday and we didn t get the van back until almost 9:00 at night. Mind you, they close at 6. I thought hey maybe they re backed up today. It was nice for them to stay and fix the van the second time we made an appointment, we didn t get it back for 2 days. BOTH times we asked for an alignment and it wasn t done. The wait time and the service is unacceptable and we will not be coming back after this.It doesn t help when the workers are in the back arguing with one another either.

Chris and JD were amazing ! able to get our claim in with assurant and replace our tire in a timely manner always called with updates and fantastic customer service ! Check them out if you need tires replaced you will not regret it . Keep up the good work guys .

Place is trash, not only shutting down a benefit car wash where their was permission, I waited 4 and a half hours for an alignment and tire rotation that I had scheduled in advance. Not to mention the steering wheel was way off center and the truck pulled way left when it was finished.

I had booked an appointment in advance with this business. I ordered tires and an oil change to be done. Within an hour of booking an appointment I received a call from one of their employees going over the appointment with me and making sure these were the tires I wanted. After I stated yes she assured me they would be ready when I arrived for my appointment. So I was on time to my appointment and once I get there I was informed that my tires were not there but at another location but due to low staff I was told I would need to wait several hours before the tires could be retrieved and put on. Then was offered more expensive tires with no discount. This was upsetting. So I asked about just going to the location that had the tires. He called for me and they got me in. Had to wait a little bit but still better than several hours. I m sorry but I feel if I had this booked in advanced that the tires should have already been there ready. Because of this the Kingston location will not get my business. Instead I recommend the Wilkes barr� location at the mall.

A couple years ago I had a bad experience at this location. So, when I caught a flat tire and I looked at places open in my area and Firestone popped up, I was a little hesitant. However, when I walked in and spoke to the young lady with the pink hair she was more than friendly and helpful during a stressful situation. She explained to me what can be done and offered advice on protecting my tires going forward. They offered me tires at a reasonable price and even broke down the difference in each tire. This experience gave me a better feel of the staffing and company. And I came back to get a new battery and the mechanics got it down so quickly i was surprised and am back again. If you are looking for a shop that will not beat you in the head and the staff is friendly, I would recommend.Services: Tires, Battery
