My daughter goes to college in this area and her Check Engine light came on. It was her first time dealing with a car issue without parents around to handle it. The gentleman who helped her was very kind. He ran the diagnostic, determined that it was an issue with a spark plug, pulled it, reset it and did not charge a thing and told her to come back if it came on again. All in all, a 5-10 minute fix. Honest and very nice! (Wish they were closer to us!)

We took our van there for an inspection and received great service. They were done within a few hours. The order was very reasonable. They even sent a text a couple days later to ask if the car was running well and if we had any issues or concerns. I don't plan to take my car anywhere in the future!!

Tom is the most honest, hard working, genuine individual you will have the pleasure of meeting. He is incredibly knowledgeable and always has his customers in mind. My family has gone to Schneck s for decades and we will continue to as long as he is in business.

I will never take my car anywhere else. Every time I have to take my car in, the work is done quickly and also done well! They're honest and will not overcharge or tell you something needs fixed that doesn't. I'm so happy with the service here!

I am very unhappy with their service. Yes, they're nice to talk to but I took my car in for emissions and inspection today and was told I needed tires. I said how many he said with your type of car you need to purchase 4. I had it checked again and my tires are fine for passing , but needed to be changed in a few months. I drive the elderly to their appointments etc . I felt this place was dishonest and I put in gas around the corner before showing up and when I picked up my car I was on E . Humm. also BTW: They don;t accept credit cards or bank card just straight cash and checks. You better have a bank account of tons of money or you out of luck. I will not be returning this establishment.

Basically talked his way out of a sale. Maybe he thought because im a woman i dont know what engine i have, or how to find the make and model of my car.

My 69 year old father referred me to this auto service after my car broke down many years ago, and I have been going there ever since. A friend recently told me I should write a review on google because of how much I refer Schneck Bro s to them whenever they have car problems. I have been coming here for a number of years, and haven t once had any problems with the mechanics there. They are nothing but pleasant people. Please do not listen to Allison McGaffin, who wrote the one star review. She is obviously an internet troll who spreads nothing but lies. (Check her google profile by clicking on her name. She has only ever given one star reviews, which shows she only likes to bring down good businesses) The true reviews have been nothing but five stars. Johnstown is lucky to have Schneck Bro s Auto Service.

This auto service is a local family business owned by two brothers who care about their customers and never overcharge. They've been in business several decades, having become a staple of Johnstown.Their shop has been in business nearly half a century and their decades of experience and care for the cars in their community makes this a local landmark. If you ask, they can even show you a faint watermark in the garage on the wall from a flood decades ago. Truly timeless, from flood city, USA. Not to mention there is a stunning view of the incline from across the street.Edit: People who live in Johnstown are extremely lucky to have this car repair shop. I have gone to a half dozen mechanics in other parts of PA. None were as good as this shop. I would easily drive for hours to go here for the level of care and skill provided here. They do NOT rip off women customers and your decade old used car will sound and feel like new every time you drive away from this place.

This guy has been here 65 years. If he can't do it, he knows someone that can, with the same quality and low prices. Do yourself a favor and take your car to Schneck's.
