Tom and his crew are the most honest, amazing guys to work with. They are not there to spend your money and fix things that don t need to be fixed. Multiple times I have been told by dealerships I need something replaced and he they have found another cost saving option. They are super friendly and awesome. I highly recommend them!!

I have been a customer of Tom s for over 15 years. He is a fantastic mechanic and a wonderful person. he always goes out of his way to make sure the customer is satisfied. Beyond impressed with their service! I got an unrepairable flat over the weekend and needed a tire. Not only were they able to squeeze me in Monday morning, but they also had me back in my car by 3pm the same day.Pricing was fair and transparent, and I appreciated the open communication. So amazing & super attentive. I came in for an oil change and asked if they could take a look at my tire pressure sensor. My car was done in under 2 hours and my tire pressure light was off. I thought I was going to have to pay for a new tire pressure sensor but they explained that it wasn t necessary and explained how they recalibrated everything for me. I ve had HORRIBLE experiences with other shops in the area. I ve had people not put my transmission cap back on, not screw on my undercarriage cover on good enough and so much more. These guys were so pleasant and have become my new go to in the area!Service: Oil change

Great "old fashion" mom and pop style local auto mechanic, very honest and caring people and I appreciate them. They took very good care of my vehicle and if you live in Abington they are a perfect local small shop to maintain your vehicle, just be patient they are busy.

Hi everyone. My name is Dan. I've been restoring old cars for almost 20 years now. I am not a hands on mechanic but I am educated in automotive excellence and I also teach beginners about (Engine Mechanics) and everything about and how Engines work and function. I love cars especially back pre 1990. I have recently bought a 1983 Oldsmobile 98 Regency 5.0L 307cid. I don't trust any technician or mechanic in my city I live in. I did my research and leaned on my expertise I've gather over the years of finding the best shop around that I could Trust, rely on, and put all my faith that their experience would be beneficial to my car itself and if I could buy my own quality parts knowing what is actually going into my car is the right correct OEM replacement part/parts and that their services are of that of an expert and that their customer service equals that if their experience of everything overall. I absolutely definitely found that shop and found those technicians and that everyone is HILLSIDE AUTO REPAIR!. The first initial phone call I egen I called them was 3 minutes prior to them leaving their shop for the day, the technician that answered the phone actually sat and chatted with me as if time didn't exist and engaged in interest of my car and chatted with me for about 30 minutes over the time the shop was closed and their work was done for the day they took 30 minutes out of their own time to talk to me and about my car and that everyone is all it took for me to know that's my shop to go to and stay with hands down no questions asked they are absolutely incredible mechanics and excellent experienced genuine people that car about their business and customers. I would only recommend them no matter what they are and have everything you want in a great place quality trust reliability honestly and just very nice great people I couldn't be more happier you all at HILLSIDE AUTO REPAIR SHOP ARE THE FINEST BEST AUTO SHOP IN THE TRI STATE AREA!. IF I COULD GIVE THEM 10 STARS I ABSOLUTELY WOULD BUT WITHOUT A DOUBT 5 STAR SERVICE THEY ARE THE BEST! Please bring your car to them for everything.Thanks.Dan M(Proud Owner of 1983 Oldsmobile 98).

Tom is absolutely wonderful. Fantastic customer service and great prices. He explains everything he is working on with your vehicle and is very honest. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a excellent mechanic who you can trust! Will definitely be bringing my car exclusively to him from now on!

My first time here since I moved to the neighborhood. I got my car inspected and new wiper blades. Honest peopleDidn't tell me something was wrong to jack up my bill. I will use them as long as I live hereThey charge 3% for using credit cards so if you don't want to pay that, bring cash or checkServices: Auto windshield replacement, Vehicle safety inspection

Paid $1000 for brakes and rotors for a Toyota corolla. I shouldn't have agreed to pay it but I needed it fixed for work. Feel like I was taken advantage of. Not returning.

If one word could describe Hillside Auto it would be... "Honest."I live right around the corner from Hillside Auto and one day my car was making a grinding/screeching noise from the front right tire... so I stopped in and Tom came out and took a look, he said: "let me put it on the lift." He did and blew a rock out from behind the brake pad, he didn't charge me. Said it was not a big deal and was glad to help!I've been going to them now for years and at no point do I feel they are not upfront and honest (and fair), NOT once did I ever feel they were taking advantage of me.I get my cars inspected there and they don't play games, no surprises or BS but only real issues (tires when they need to be replaced, battery etc..), unlike when you take it to the dealer.I trust Hillside to do the work right and be honest and fair about it, trust is rare these days (especially with mechanics).I would highly recommend to anyone who needs work on their vehicle.

I first used Hillside Auto as a newlywed over 40 years ago. Their service has always been prompt, calm and above all professional but in a comfortable neighborhood kind of way. With rising costs on everything it is wonderful to have a place you can depend on and trust.

My daughter was driven into a curb by an inconsiderate driver and blew out her tire. She walked to Hillside Auto and they were very helpful. I live in Maryland and was listening to the conversation on the phone. They were very polite and courteous and went above and beyond to help her. Thank you Hillside Auto.

This placed uses the street as their own personal driveway. This business does not belong in family neighborhood. Get out of the way so people can drive. Run your business on your property not public roads.Side note: the snap on truck driver that parks his vehicle in front of your place every week is very ignorant. If your affiliated with that clown you should tell him to park in an actual parking spot not the middle of the road.

I get my car inspected here. They do good work and prices are very reasonable (my car is 16 years old so there is often an issue that needs attention.
