I went in a few days before I had any service done. I was having power steering issues. I had them test drive it and look at it. They let me know what all was wrong and gave me a quote. They said they will have to order the parts and schedule an appointment after the delivery of parts. Scheduled a week out for a Friday. I called earlier in the week and asked if I could change the date to Thursday. They were accommodating saying they were less busy on Thursday. When I called to change the day I also asked if the oil could be changed since they were already going to have it in there. They said yes. Dropped it off Wednesday night so they could have it all day Thursday to work on. Never heard anything on Thursday that it was done. Called Friday morning. I was told I would be lucky if it would be done by closing time. I borrowed someone's car so I could get to and from work and needed to return their car. Was there 30 minutes before close and yes by close it was done. Looked at the bill and asked if the oil was changed. He said no. He didn't know anything about it. I told him whom I talked to and told him I was told it would be no problem to get it done. Well I drove back to Pittsburgh and when I came back to Harrisburg I went some place else to get my oil changed. I am a little disappointed in the lack of communication with employees talking to each other. But that seems to be the norm everywhere.

This is now my go-to place for all my auto care needs. Luke was very through and honest about everything that was wrong with my car. Some issues I knew nothing about. For all the work done, the price was reasonable. If you're looking for a garage that is very honest and reasonable, give them a try.

I don't know how you keep a garage clean, but this place is clean and the employees seem happy. Usually we fix our own cars, but when we need larger jobs done, we can count on Laugers to handle it for us.

Excellent customer service as always. Luke accommodated me even without an appointment. Suspected a tire leakage and he spent 30 minutes helping me fix the problem. Highly recommend!

My daughter is a nurse new to the area. Woke up to a flat tire at 6:30 am. We live several hours away. I called Lauger's Auto Explained the situation and they drove to the hospital retrieved my daughters car from the hospital parking lot replaced the tire and returned the car. I can't say enough about them!! They went above and beyond for us. I highly recommend them. They were timely, kind and honest. If I could give them 10 stars I would!!Service: Tires

Great garage experience! Took my near perfect 2002 Corvette in for state inspection on the recommendation of Posies Rods and Customs. I am extremely picky with this car! I stayed and watched the entire time the car was there. Extremely impressed with both the facility and technicians. Shop was clean and orderly. Technicians were clean and knowledgeable. Met the owner. He was very engaged and genuinely cared about both quality of work and customer service. I will definitely be going back!

This auto shop is awesome! Andy and his mechanics are very friendly, professional, and trustworthy. Last week, I took my car there for State inspection and oil change: quality work and fair pricing. I mentioned to Andy that I had an issue with my rear door due to a small knob broken. He said to me that he would order this part for me. He did! I'm so grateful. I will definitely be a regular custom here. I would highly recommend Lauger's Auto to anybody.Services: Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

My 17-year-old son was 5-hours from home and broke down in our 2019 VW Atlas on the side of I-81 not too far from Lauger's. After calling the two closest VW dealers I was told they wouldn't be able to even look at the car for days if I got it towed to them myself. I called another local private VW repair shop and they were very nice but were closing and were also very stacked up. They recommended I can Lauger's, and I am so glad they did. I spoke to Andrew and told him the situation. Even though they were almost about to close, he sent out their tow truck immediately and picked-up the car, and my son, from the highway. They quickly identified the problem and got my son back on the road almost immediately. I can't begin to say how grateful I am for how they went above and beyond and how sympathetic they were to our obvious concern about having our young son on his first trip far from home broken down on the highway. If I lived anywhere near this shop they would be my "go to" shop for sure!

We've been going to Lauger's Auto for a little over a year now, after leaving our old go-to mechanic in Hershey. After giving that old mechanic over 25 years of buisness, with the fairly newer ownership that occured sevetal years back, they routinely became rude to me (but not my husband) and would not allow us to stay and wait for a simple oil change. We started questioning the old mechanic's honesty and the customer care for females was obviously unacceptable. Lauger's is a completely different type of mechanic. They are friendly, honest, and get the work done as quickly and conveniently as possible. Their new waiting area is above and beyond with a clean, fresh atmosphere. I had an excellent experience with Lauger s who repaired my son s car when a number of shops in the immediate area didn t want to take it on. They were able to quickly diagnose the issues, order parts and make the repairs, all for a very reasonable cost (and in-line with their quoted estimate). Additionally, I m located in NJ (my son goes to college in PA) and they kept me in the loop every step of the way. My water pump failed just north of exit 80 on interstate 81, on June 23/2022, I googled for a nearby repair shop on Lauger s popped up, I called and they sent a tow truck to pick up me and my car, my car was on the back of a rollback at 3:45 pm, the fantastic driver was Shawn.By 5:03 pm they put in a new water pump and had me back on the road to Syracuse NY.The best service I have ever had and I am 71 years old. PS they had the cleanest rest room I have ever seen at a repair shop!The repair cost with the towing was very reasonable!Service: Auto water leak repair

Your friendly local mechanic! I stopped in late on a Friday afternoon hoping they could help me salvage a DIY repair job I had tried to do. I expected to be told to schedule an appointment for the next week, but they were willing to look at my car before close if I could get it to the shop. Unfortunately, the car wouldn't start and after a quick phone call they came out with their tow truck and were willing to install the new part right there in front of my house with no tow fee. That right there shows you how much they care about their customers. The job took less than 10 minutes and we were good to go. They helped me out of a jam and were super friendly. They have earned these 5 stars and my future business. I would recommend them to anyone in the area!

Excellent work, fair prices and great customer service from everyone I have talked to. They respond to any questions you may have and provide quotes before doing the repairs. There's plenty of shops around where I live but after being lied to and dismissed at 3 different places because I'm a woman and "know nothing about cars" finding Lauger's and actually being treated good has been great, it's out of my way but I won't go anywhere else now. Corey did amazing work on my Jeep and extremely fast. Definitely give them a try.

Was traveling through town and I needed my car serviced. Not only were they able to help me in a timely manner but they also found, diagnosed and repaired some safety issues regarding my brakes and tail light not working properly. I was unaware of these issues. I had brought the car in for other issues. I m very grateful considering I had nine more hours of driving ahead of me. Quality service at an excellent price (it seemed to good to be true). It was definitely true! Anyone who lives in area should bring their vehicle here.

I had an issue with my Ford Expedition that we couldn't figure out so I took it to Lauger's Auto and they were great. They found the issue and got my Expedition up and running again. Their Shop rate is affordable and they have that small home town garage atmosphere. Andy is very professional and friendly and we will be back if or when we need work done again. Very glad I decided to start going here. Grew up just down the street from them when they were Martin s. I m always very nervous and hesitant taking cars anywhere, especially when they are highly modified and have quite a bit of time & money into them. Too many bad experiences in the past. I couldn t be happier. It s only been there twice but needed much work and they have done it all in a reasonable amount of time at a reasonable price. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. We have been going to this garage ever since we moved to the area 7 years ago! They have always reminded me of my grandads garage, honest, great work and can do anything! They have inspected our cars, fixed this or that, oil changes!! I would trust them to do anything! They are there for their customers no matter what! Most recently I had to replace my tires, they took the time to explain the different tires they had available and shared their honest opinion!!

Their customer service is top notch. They were willing to answer all of my questions with a smile, rather than rushing me out the door. Even if it meant further equipping me with the knowledge to fix things on my own.Their pricing is very fair in comparison to other garages I ve gone to in the area.Their ability to diagnose a problem and fix it in a timely and affordable manner is why I ll be back. I would highly recommend this auto shop for your various needs! I was told by a big company auto shop at my oil change appointment that the rear breaks and rotors of my jeep were shot and that they need replacing, and the quote they gave was fairly expensive. I decided to not get breaks done there as I found great reviews for Lauger s. During my appointment they called me and told me that my breaks and rotors were completely fine and have plenty of life in them, rear and front. They told me there is no use in replacing and that they won t be charging me for anything. As someone who doesn t know left from right with cars, I trust Lauger s Auto and I will be taking my jeep there from here on out! Thanks so much.Service: Brakes

My wife and I have been using this shop for 15+ years (before the name change too). I wanted a leveling kit installed on my GMC Sierra. They returned my call within 30 min and the quote was spot on. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND laugers auto to everyone reading this comment!!! I met the owner and he is one of the nicest people I ve ever met!!! He towed out my moms truck and horse trailer from the bottom of her yard where it was BEYOND stuck in the snow. And her yard is extremely steep in the bottom. He was also extremely patient when she was trying to find her truck keys because they were lost for at least 15 minutes before he could even start to move her truck. Extremely fair pricing too! My mom even had to give him a tip because he is just that nice and good of a man!!!

Cory and the team at Laugers Auto did a terrific job. We are traveling from California in our Motorhome and our tow vehicle (Mini Cooper S)needed power steering repair. They were able to order the part and repair it in the time frame I needed.Kudos to their team!The only negative thing I have to speak too is I wish they would provide military discount .I would highly recommend them for your auto repairs and suggest you give them a call if you have any vehicle problems!Service: Steering & suspension replacement

Went for a State Inspection and a noise in my Jeep. Ed explained everything thoroughly and I was very satisfied with the service I received. I also took my Colorado for a State Inspection a few weeks later and everything was explained thoroughly to me by Andrew the owner. I'll be back again soon with another vehicle. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS GARAGE!!!Engine coolant warning light came on during a hot August roadtrip - found Ed's garage (thanks to other great reviews), and called. He walked me through how to add water and get the 5 miles to the garage. Once there, they immediately pulled the vehicle into the bay and found that the engine fans had never been plugged in from the last mechanic, causing the engine to overheat and destroying my new head gaskets, a multi-day job to replace. They walked me through everything, showed me the test results of CO2 in the radiator, walked through it again with my husband on the phone, and then cleared their week to do the complete head gasket job (pulling the engine, etc) while we continued on our trip with a rental. No other garage in the area (we called 4 or 5) would even take a look for us that day, much less clear their busy week. Ed's garage completed the head gasket job an entire day early, for well under the original quoted price (which was already reasonable), and were really great to work with. They knew all their customers that walked in (they were fairly busy) and you could tell that they respected and took care of their customers. They showed me the blown head gaskets and walked me through everything they found after the job was completed, so I had facts to take back to the original mechanic back home as well. I had great interactions with multiple mechanics who took the time to explain things and didn't act inconvenienced by us unloading luggage, waiting for our rental, etc. They completely saved our trip! I wish I had this shop locally - would definitely recommend to others and trust my vehicle with them again!

Another shout-out to Laugers! We don't live in PA any more, but our daughter still attends college in PA. When her "check engine light" came on last night and she happened to be in Harrisburg, she went to Laugers after-hours and they checked the reason for the "check engine" situation, gave her the all-clear to drive safely back to her college where she can have the problem fixed, AND refused to accept any compensation for their time! I wish we still lived in central PA because se haven't found a reliable, honest, quality auto mechanic that we feel comfortable with yet -- the way that we did for all those years with Martins and now Laugers. Thanks for taking good care of our girl yesterday!
