Found this place by accident, rented sight unseen. I was so happy when we got there! Our cabin was clean and spotless, sheets smelled fresh and clean, towels even had a scent of bleach which was nice knowing its all clean when you get into bed or a shower. Cabin is in a beautiful setting, you can walk around go to playground or splash park with the kids. Or let the kids play and sit by a warm campfire at your cabin. Its a safe place to take the kids and everyone has something to do and enjoy themselves. Its pet friendly, there's a bar and restaurant on the premises that has very very good food.. If your primitive camping there's clean showers and bathrooms for you to use along with a washer and dryer. Theres a store with video games candy and ice cream to occupy the kids or the kid in you for that matter. Very impressed by this place was a great cabin in a secluded place. Got to meet the owner also SHE was very friendly and accommodating. Would definitely reccomend this place but make reservations ahead of time! They fill up fast!

We booked a spontaneous New Years Day trip here and stayed in a standard cabin. What a great experience! The cabin was very cute and extremely clean. The food at the KC Pepper was delicious and the staff was very helpful, returning my calls immediately and helping us get into our cabin. We can't wait to return during warmer weather!

Not a good experience this time. We had cabin #7. The positive was: the cabin appeared clean. The negative: everything felt very damp including the bedding. The bath towels were musty so showers were skipped. The TV cable kept saying no signal so couldn't watch that. The worst: was the very strong cat pee smell. It was awful. We won't be back.

I have stayed here several times in numerous seasons and love it more each time. Super cozy stay and can t recommend it enough. Patty the manager and the staff at the restaurant are all so fantastic. Bring your own napkins and snacks if you want to cook outside your cabin at the grill they provide, or better, support a small business and eat at the restaurant. Will keep returning!

Got booked in an old camper for $150/night. Place was cramped and there was menstrual period stains on the seats. The other couch was ripped. The camper toilet was very cramped for a slightly larger than average man.Would have guessed that accommodation should cost maybe $50/ night max.I only booked there because I had to work locally and couldn t find another hotel. I don t mind rustic charm but this was real trash

We came here for a weekend away and it was an overall great experience! The staff is pleasant, although blatantly ignoring social distancing practices and no signage about implementing mask wearing. Our cabin was mostly clean except for the ceiling fans, which were extremely dusty and the microwave which was moldy. The cabin and bathroom were spacious and the outdoor fire pit was in excellent condition. Firewood and other ammenities were available as well. The furnishing were obviously new and the bed was so comfortable. We really enjoyed having a day bed for lounging and placing items on.

Great campground! The King Cabin was more luxurious with a flat screen, gas fireplaces, soaking tub, and a king size bed. We had the best of both worlds. And it was okay that there was no kitchen because the restaurant on property was great! The swimming pond and splash pad were well kept and clean, and the property was rustic and beautiful.

The cabin and outside of it smelled horrible like herbal skunk . An air freshener was in the cabin which made it smell worse. The door was not sealed so cold air rushed in at the top and along the floor. We stayed for 3 nights. When we got there we were given a pails with niceties in it including coffee in tea bags. We were given 2. When we asked for more it was like we were asking for something special. We have always had plenty of coffee supplies everywhere else we have ever stayed. No maid service the whole time so no restock of anything. The bar restaurant on the premises was AWESOME.

Far too overpriced. I tried calling for a week to speak with someone at the property about checking in after 8pm and left messages with no return call. I wasn't contacted until the day I was to check in, and then only by text. The cabin itself was a little hard to locate, especially in the dark and even moreso since they aren't marked well at all. The 'A' and 'B' designations on ours were just faded shadows of where the lettering used to be. The porch sagged when stepped on because the wood was rotting so badly. The door locks didn't function well and it took several minutes for us to unlock. When we finally got inside we were hit by the heavy stench of mildew. The amenities were sparse, with just a barstool to set some stuff down and a luggage rack for our bag. No coffee table in what we suppose would be called the "livingroom" or sitting space. Zero counter space, or any place for that matter, to set toiletries in the bathroom. The entire layout of cabin was ridiculous. Woke up with a sore throat from breathing mildew all night, so we very grateful we were there for only the night. We couldn't find anyone when we tried to check out at 10am and ended up leaving the key at the open but empty country store. We knew with their track record for communication it was useless to try and call anyone. I do not recommend this property, nor will we be returning. The only reason we're giving 2 stars is because the woman who checked us in at the bar was very nice and polite.

We rented a cabin, the one in the middle when the road splits. Had a pretty good experience overall. Stayed here to go on the train ride in town, hike, and enjoy campfires. Cabin had a mouse in it, which isnt a huge deal since it is a campground, but its very easy to fix the problem and seal off entry points, especially in a small cabin. Cabin wasnt deep cleaned well, dust all over ceiling. But again, its a campground so didnt expect 100% cleanliness. Overall it was an okay campground experience. It has a smaller campground feel then most places. Wouldnt go back, as we have stayed at countless campgrounds and cabins and this spot wasnt anything to rave about. Mentioned the mouse to the camp store and she laughed and said "yea, we have a huge problem in the laundry room too." Well, thats reassuring lol.

We stayed in the queen cabin and it was freaking adorable. We loved the jetted tub in the bathroom and firepit outside. Our fireplace inside wasnt working at first, but as soon as I called, they sent a super friendly employee right over to fix it. The cabin was extremely clean and cozy. The rocking chairs on the front porch were an amazing touch. And the best part about it is that it's pet friendly. My dog had a great time smelling all of the new smells and exploring. An adorable little place to get away, even in the off season.

2nd time staying here and while the cabins are quaint and a little outdated, they fit our needs and budget perfectly and we always have a great stay. Staff is friendly and attentive and we will be back again

Staff was friendly. Cabin was clean although the bedding was old and worn out. 4 nights in the bed did a number on our backs and cleanliness of the linens was questionable.Splash pad and pond were very fun for the kids. Burger barn had decent food.

Amazing!! If your looking for a place to wear your mask and bathe in hand sanitizer and talk about Joe Biden THEN THIS IS NOT THE PLACE FOR U!! This is a peaceful quiet mountain resort where people have fires going at night, kids running around with sticks and playing in dirt. This is America at its best. The cabins are amazing and clean. Tv is small but if u came here to watch tv just leave and go back home and protest. People are here long term in campers and that s ok! Their happy, they all hang out and don t social distance thank god. This was the perfect place for my wife s birthday!

I use the dog park on a regular basis. Love it. There are some small issues but that is due to other dog owners. The bar and grill are excellent. Service and food is excellent.
