My muffler had rotted and fallen off. I was able to come in the next day at opening and was out within an hour. It was very busy with lots of people dropping off, and there was already someone in before me. Alan was nice, straightforward, and kept me updated through out everything. The price was very reasonable. Not the nicest waiting room, but who really cares. It s what I expect from a local mechanic who is focused on service and keeping costs low rather than looks.Some of these reviews comment on the owners attitude. I found if you met him with respect he would give you the same. I witnessed a customer give him attitude over it being first come first serve . The owner handled himself appropriately and still offered to look at his vehicle. I will definitely return for my inspection next year!

Amazing place, great prices. I was basically told by my Suburu mechanic that I'd have to scrap the car bc my brake lines blew. Took it to these guys, they ran new brake lines, and it's been running great ever since. I wish they were closer to me but the bus rides across town even dropping off and picking up the car is worth it.

Not only is Alan s social skills below average but so is his work! Took my car for an inspection and oil change and he forgot to put the oil back in. This resulted in my car rolling backwards down West Street. Wouldn t recommend if you want to see another day!

Very professional great serviceExcellent welding and they do good workThat s my go to for aftermarket and custom exhaust they find all leaks and fix em you never have to leave your vehicle it s first come first serve and they get you done in a timely fashion 1-10 I give them a 10 forsure I won t go to nobody else

Mr alen is a OLD SCHOOL GUY so don t expect everyday customer service be prepared to wait he will get to you. If you catch him in a decent mood he s a pretty cool guy he will come off as rude DONT TAKE IT PERSONAL good quality work and VERY decent prices. Oh and don t you dare park near the door he will say your blocking the lot move somewhere else

This is one of the best affordable spots to get your car worked on for the services they offer. Alan (shop owner) is great. He'll make sure your car gets done in a fashionable amount of time and is efficient with his work.

Straight shooter. Tell Alan the problem. He will tell you if he can get it done. His work comes with warranties. He doesn t talk you into unnecessary work or try to over sell you. Many may think he s off putting. He is just about his business running effectively and efficiently, which sometimes means no time for bull. Get in. Get out. Keep the flow going. Alan and his team are the best in town.

Awesome dope mechanic shop,and very honest,I went to Meineke they charged me $387,I went too Master Muffler,he charged me $70bucks,and done in 20min!!! Worth the ride and worth the money!!!!

The place to go if you've got a problem with your exhaust!First come first served, they were able to repair it fast (a few ahead of me in line, but i was out in just over an hour). They gave me a price within 5mins of looking at it - only $180 pretax to repair my exhaust.For my 2012 car in fairly good condition, this was a great, quick repair experience.Lot of reviews say they are rough around the edges, but they're just trying to keep the place running efficiently. If you're respectful, you won't have a problem with the service.

This shop was recommended to me by another mechanic that didn t do something that I needed done. I m so happy that he did. His service is awesome, they really take care of your car and Al cares for you as person. He a long time old school mechanic and his business from what I was told has been around for years. I have been recommending people here. They are about their business not all that nonsense that some shops do. I highly recommend them. Took van in at 10 for brakes and cat for somebody needed mine so they went midnight auto. At 10 the next day Van was ready best service in long time. Will see them again.

e customer service is awful and the old man who works there, I think his name is Allen is just plain rude and disrespectful.I came in for the first time to get my exhaust pipe fixed, and immediately when I pulled into the lot, he yelled at me because I parked in the wrong place. After parking, I walked into the office with my father, who has an accent, and he asked for his name. Since my fathers name is complicated we started spelling it, and he did the hand gesture to speed it up and my father missed it but I saw it. I immediately asked him, POLITELY, why he was being disrespectful and rude. He immediately responded that he wasn t, that my father didn t need to spell that slow?�? Ummm my father was spelling normally & what happened to customer service? I responded back to him telling him that s the way my father talks, but regardless you didn t have to be disrespectful and rude by doing hand gestures and rolling your eyes. He immediately got upset, because I called him out on his lack of professionalism and he threw a hissy fit and told us he would not be fixing our pipe and providing service to us. We personally didn t care because there s 100+ shops here in Pittsburgh! I was just shocked that this 80 year old man could be so childish and unprofessional. How are they honestly still in business? I went on yelp and Google reviews and it seems like this isn t the first time he is rude and disrespectful to customers. If you don t like your job, QUIT!!!!! Don t take it out on customers who are just trying to get their cars fixed.If you re looking for a car shop, save yourself the time and go somewhere else.

Worst experience ever. Maybe a little cheaper but definitely doesn t worth the humiliation. Allen is so rude and condescending person. From the first encounter, his attitude is unbearable.Allen told me it s free to diagnose my car so I left it overnight to hear back in the morning that I need to accept his quote or tow my car out as he refused to put the drive belt back on!! He insisted it must be picked up right away as he is not a car storage (I wasn t planning on leaving my car or anything as it s my daily driver).

These guys are great. Brought in a heavy, tall unique vehicle for a new exhaust. Was expecting difficulties due to the weight and height.They had the whole thing done in 4 hours! I was expecting a week wait for parts. A+ job guys!

My mechanic told me I had a small crack in my exhaust pipe and needed welded. He recommended Master Muffler. I took my car there,they diagnose the issue and was able to repair it quickly. The best part was that I didn't have to make an appointment and the price was reasonable for the work that needed done. Would recommend to anyone who needs welding work on their car.

I have been to this shop quite a few times over the years now. Got good work from them . I called for a price on something and they were over 60 dollars plus tax higher than the highest price I was quoted from any other exhaust shop. And around 100 plus tax more than the lowest quote I got . Hard to believe . Especially coming from a local shop in a low income area . Midas and Monroe were even much cheaper than them . I m local and like to use local business . But I will not be using this shop anymoreService: Exhaust

I brought my car in here to have a repair done on the exhaust system (there was a leak) so I could pass inspection. It was the best repair service I ve had in a long time. I dropped off my car around 8 am and got a call within the hour telling me exactly what needed to be done, how much it will cost, and what time my car will be ready for pick up. After about 2.5 hours I got a call saying my car was ready. The repair was guaranteed for a year. Prices are extremely fair. Go here for no-nonsense, fairly priced, and professional service. I ran a business so I know an efficient-knowledgeable business man when I encounter one . He was/ is honest and his work was better than the best . No sooner did I get home to Lawrenceville, that he called to let us know my car was ready . Yes he has rules.First come first serve etcAll you have to do is abide by them and you ll receive the same rare,excellent service. Its 1st come 1st serve. The customer service may not be the best (owner is a little rough around the edges-but he means no harm). However they do great work especially with mufflers & exhausts.

I'm a big fan of this place. Pep Boys quoted my $6800 to repair my exhaust system, and said parts were back-ordered for a year and I had to pay up front. Another local mechanic directed me towards Master Muffler in Homestead. I walked in, and a mechanic looked at my car with thirty minutes -- the place is first come, first serve, no appointments. Master Muffler quoted me $875 with a three-year warranty and said it would be done in three hours. I couldn't believe I got my car fixed so fast and cheaply. Alan is gruff and direct (I was forewarned not to part in front on the garage door), but he is a professional, kind, competent, and efficient guy. I'm super glad I went here instead of paying seven times as much at Pep Boys. Save yourself time and money and go directly here. Big fan.Service: Exhaust
