We were really impressed with the quality of the camp ground. The sites are nice and the bathroom/shower facilities are well-maintained. I will echo what I few people have mentioned: it seems to lean toward RVs, not tents. We happened to have a site on the end so we had more grass space than most sites. There's plenty of space for a tent but it would need to be placed in the gravel. Each site has it's own picnic table and fire ring with cooking rack. Each loop has it's own bathroom facility but not every loop has it's own showers. The park does have rangers that drive around regularly and rules are enforced. The campground has numerous playgrounds, trails, bike paths and disc golf courses. The beach and recreational area around the lake is also beautiful and well-maintained. We were really happy with our experience here. Beautiful place.

I had never been to Raystown Lake, and booked a trip on a whim to do some hiking. I was at Senoia site 181. I was pleasantly surprised with the site, view, and bathroom. I probably would not like it as much later in the season with the area being much busier. That said, I liked it enough to book a different site for next weekend!

My sons and I loved our 3 nite stay here. The facility was in excellent shape including bathrooms and campsites. We stayed at site 190. Beach wasn t crowded during the week and the kids went swimming each day. We did some shore fishing which was ok but really you need a boat for such a big lake. Verizon cell service was decent and I was able to work remotely. We didn t have a car besides our rv so biking up and down the hills was a workout and hot.

My husband and I tent camped here and it was ABSOLUTELY gorgeous. While it does seem to lean heavily towards RV camping, we picked a perfect site for a tent with a beautiful lake view. The campground itself was well maintained, very clean and pristine. The beach area was very big and very nice, the walking trail they have all around the campground was pressed rubber mulch-it was extremy nice to walk on after hiking the real trails for hours and provided some beautiful views. I would highly recommend young and old visit this place!

Great campground! We go every year! It's awesome that they allow alcohol, just no glass containers. The facilities are clean and very well maintained. There is a Beach & swimming area as well as several day use areas. There are many local attractions as well, including an auto museum, several caves, and DelGrosso Park, to name a few.

We camped in the Point campground @ site #114, under the trees. Very private with a small opening in trees to view the lake. Electric hook up with nearby water on this very level site (but then show us a site @ ACOE that is not). Beautiful, peaceful and serene. Great place to try out a kayak for the first time!

Remember to fill your fresh water tanks before proceeding to your site. You can fill fresh at the dump station. Sites are spacious and the proximity to mountain bike trails is great.

We loved our stay here! The campsites are LEVEL, have nice patio/fire pit areas and a fair amount of space between sites. The bathrooms were nice, showers had plenty of hot water and pressure (until someone flushed). We enjoy hiking and there were plenty of nice trails available. 1000 Steps Trail is challenging but so worth it. We will definitely be back!

If only there were water available! We only stayed for one night on our way back from the Finger Lakes of NY in our 30' RV towing our car, but would have liked to stay longer. Typically fantastic Army COE park: Well designed and maintained, wide level back-in sites with a nice patio area and fire pit, easy in and out, trees, playgrounds, nice bath houses, 50 amp electrical. And no water at the site! I blame myself for not checking the fine print when we registered ;-). I didn't have a full load of fresh water, so we made do for the night and cut our typical water usage. I'd love to stay again some time.

Great place to get away. The camping spots are all very well done. The grounds are beautiful. There's always so much stuff to do, boating, fishing, etc. They allow pets and aren't sticklers about someone having a beer like they are in state parks.

I been coming here for about 26 years because of the campsites are well maintained and spacious. But now i am disappointed we can not fill our campers up with fresh water at the sites. We stay Two weeks at a time . No way I am unhooking a 5th wheel to drive back and forth to fill our tanks. We have to manually fill our tanks. For 42.00 and or 46.90 a night we should get water...what's up with that seven points? You went from 5 stars to two stars. Your water cost you nothing

Very nice place to camp except there is no actual water hook-up. They have place you can fill jugs or whatever you have to put water in. Restrooms were clean and water was hot.

I have a lot to say about this camping trip. I'm sure those that work for the Army Corps are personally wonderful people. However, leadership has fell to the wayside. I've been going to Raystown Lake for 47 years. Never have I been so discouraged as I was this trip. First, grass mowing terrible. Second, bathrooms dirty. Third, campsites lacking stone. Fourth, water hydrants for use that the rules prohibit usage. Five, park rangers writing warnings for people parking where they are supposed to park and pulling in versus backing in, writing warnings for those not having a mooring pass who have their boats parked along the shoreline at the campground. Sixth, stones washed out from rain storm into the roadway causing a hazard for kids on bicycles and people traveling up steep hills with campers. Seven, rodents wondering the campsites, foraging for food at night. Eight, trees that majorly need trimming. Get your act together because you are chasing off the old timers that have helped establish the very foundation the place was built upon and your jobs were created from.

Sad, but true. the two tents per site is absurd and the information on their website is misleading. Maximum of 10 people and two cars I saw not one mention about 2 units per site. I reserved two sites in the Senoia location and had 3 people on one site and 3 on another. After a 4 hour trip from Southern Maryland we were told we couldn't stay. Senoia showers were horrible as well. No shower curtain in the women's showers and a 30-second push button that never produced any hot water.

We stayed Thursday through Tuesday the week before Memorial Day weekend. Many activities to do including hiking, walking, paddling, boating, biking and mountain biking. Unfortunately the restroom were poorly maintained. They were not cleaned (and we assume or checked) once during our stay and reached an unsanitary condition.

Seven Points is one of the best campgrounds we've ever experienced. Clean, shaded sites with tables, level pads and fire rings.

Really enjoyed our time here. Such variety in campgrounds and outdoor activities. Vast majority of people there had RVs but there were a few tents. Amazing to me that people were able to get their fifth wheels up to the top of some of the very hilly campgrounds or get their boats there and into the water. Seems to be a great place for mountain biking and walking up and down hills. Also has an amazing beach area.

Awesome place to camp have been staying there for years. Camping is cheap and has electric hookups. Have to fill your water up. Most campgrounds have bathrooms and showers. Some are waterfront sites.

The area and the campground are beautiful! Our spots at the top of the Senoia loop LOOKED perfectly spacious on the booking site, but when we arrived they were really tricky to get into. The road is narrow and quite hilly, and there are trees right next to the road which can make backing into a site with a bigger rig tricky if not downright impossible. Our site, 255, was probably the easiest to get into. 254/256/258 were tight; in fact, our friends had to abandon 254 as the site angle, terrain and trees made it impossible for him to get in there with his 34 footer. Site 258 was tricky for a 35 foot fifth wheel - had to disconnect and reconnect to get in correctly. Lovely campground - but beware the lengths posted on the reservation site! Bath house was conveniently located, although small for the number of site it serviced. Push button showers stay on for about 10-15 seconds a push.

The campsites are very well maintained compared to the other campgrounds around the lake. Rangers are friendly and there are some of the best mountain biking trails around PA. Sites are priced very well and they don't try and take advantage of you. In the summer the sites fill up and are usually booked up every weekend. Bathhouses are nice too and are cleaned every night. We have been going here for years and you will not be disappointed.

The two tent policy is ridiculous. We were visiting for a bike festival, meeting friends from several states. Having paid for 3 sites, each with a limit of 10 people, we expected to be able to accommodate 30 people, however we had half of that.Since we had a specialty group, cyclists traveling from 3 states, and two families, sharing tents is outright inappropriate. One of our campers had arrived after your rangers demanded to remove one of our tents. Though he compromised and allowed us to keep a tent belonging to a single woman, we didn't want to risk putting up another tent for a lone traveler. So, our guest, who traveled from DC, slept under a picnic table!Aside from the awkward situation the park put us in, you should know that one man tents are safer in other ways. One man tents are much better in rain and bad weather. While those that put up large tents are constantly worrying about rain leaking, one man tents are pretty bomb proof in a monsoon. Please re-consider your tent policy. It makes no sense that we were harassed while our neighbors had two tents, two easy ups, and a massive homemade shelter. Nobody wants problems, no one in our group behaved inappropriately, yet we were confronted multiple times by rangers

Have camped here for many years. We love it. People have been friendly, rangers are very kind, sites are in good shape and the bathrooms are usely pretty clean. I think we can say the we have only had two days in all of the years we have camped there that have been rough and that was because of disrespectful neighbors who had to much to drink. Go with friends or family and a great time.

Very large camp area. Tons of things to do. Perfect visuals with hiking, fishing and much more to offer. A great place with great prices for camping. Bathrooms nearby, firewood constantly restocked locally, electric and water pumps in certain areas. This is a perfect park to use. I highly recommend it. Trust me. Even has a walmart and shores a short (15min) away.

Not really up to CoE standards.WARNING: There is no potable water at the individual sites, and the water spigots that are scattered throughout the campground do not have hose bibs.I needed to add water to my RV tank, and inquired about a hose bib location at the Community Center. The lady said she wasn't a camper, and didn't know what I was talking about, so she called "downstairs." They were not aware of any hose bib in the entire park. On my way out, at the dump station I found one.

We stayed in the ridge loop. Beautiful camp site. We had 50 amp electric but NO water...fyi...you should check. We did fine but did not shower in the rv which we usually do.

This place is the best campground in the world. Great lake. Level sites. Facilities are amazing. The reason for the poor rating is the awful experience you have to go through with the reservation service. Recreation.gov is a poor excuse for a reservation system website. The rules the campground put in place is a "rolling window" for reservations 6 months ahead of time. That means to get the timeframe you want, you actually need to book 14 days ahead of time, within the rolling window, then modify your reservation later to only the dates you actually want. A total joke. Get a real reservation system and stop ruining the best camping experience in the world.
