This is really not a review I wanted to leave but I feel it necessary. I exclusively use Valvoline all over the country as I travel and never have I had an issue. This wasn t the case here and I just hope no issues arise from this as I travel.I stopped in for an oil change before moving on in my travels. The first thing I noticed was the lady with manager on her tag was on her phone as she directed me into the bay. She then just opened the door to scan without any acknowledgment whatsoever. She then told me the didn t have the 5W20 oil but they could use the other recommended oil weight of 5W30. I agree and specified synthetic blend high mileage.Next she took my mileage which she entered incorrectly. I caught this later and had her change it. She then asked me if I wanted my lights and fluids checked instead of the Valvoline way of just checking everything. During this I also told her I wanted all my tires set to 40psi.During the oil change I overheard the person below having to get direction from above on how to remove things under my vehicle.Finally after I was finished and paid the manager told me I was ready to go. I asked if the tires had been properly set because I hadn t seen it. Of course she forgot and had to go back and do this.The worst part of the entire encounter was that the manager stood around texting in her phone most of the time. I did overhear another employee doing the process I m used to but even he was talking about them opening their own oil service shop.Once all this was complete and I started down the road I noticed my hood wasn t secured. Fortunately I had just started down the road and was able to stop and secure it.I certainly can t recommend this branch of Valvoline.

First time I took my car there for an oil change I popped my hood and the mechanic told me I popped my gas cap (which I did not) and then proceeded to check the lever and told me my hood release was broken and common in subarus. I drove home only to find my hood flapping up and down (thankfully it didn't fly open and was still latched). Long story short, nothing was broken he just didn't know how to unlatch my hood. It was a wasted trip, and very poor customer service.

These guys did a great job! They didn t try to sell me on an unnecessary cabin or engine air filter replacement. Pulled both out, said they could last at least another oil change and put them back. They were quick and affordable.

I went here because I had a half off oil change coupon, and they looked for everything wrong with my car, said I needed new wipers, headlights, air filter, and I opted for the oil change, and over 1,000 miles before my next scheduled oil change my maintenance required light came on, I'm like how if I just had an oil change? I told them give my money back or complimentary oil change, they did not want to do either, I explained either you did not do the oil change or you did not reset the light, either way it's incompetent, I don't recommend this place, they don't know what their doing, if you want work done correctly go somewhere else.

I went and waited in the parking lot for 40 mins before they opened so I could get to an event on time. Michael opened his bay up 10 mins early and got me out very quickly. Thank you!!!

After starting the service I was informed they did not have my filter in stock. If I wanted to go and purchase one at the parts store I could return and have the job finished with a discount for supplying my own part. I needed the service so decided to go ahead and do this. Upon my return the oil was changed but no discount was given. I was accused of having a bad attitude, which given the circumstance is probably true. Per the managers recommendation I will visit Meineke next time.

I like that you can talk with the mechanic while sitting in your car, they work on it while you are right there in your car and the will explain everything as its happening if you want. Very friendly, very easy

Maritza (the manger) is not personable at all. I recently opened a claim against Valvoline where i was told my Maritza herself that she would do an investigation on the vehicle and get back to me on my claim. I called Valvoline customer care where i was told my claim had been denied 9.7 and the car was not inspecting till 9.8. Fishy right,, they say no. "A car does not have to be inspected for them to deny a claim". Evan and John the area managers? refuse to call me back to apologize for their actions. in addition Maritza accused me of lying. She claimed that i had my mechanic lie to her... When i called my mechanic they confirmed that this was inaccurate and never occurred. They are their own insurance so they will always win. Take your time and read the reviews. please don't waste your time and money on an Valvoline in this area. Maritza and Evan should be held accountable for lies and bad business relationships. If i would have been told upfront what was happening and not accused of being a liar there would be no complain about this business. Please stay clear Of Maritza and Evan for your on financial security and mental stability. Apple clearly DOES NOT fall far from the tree in this case. it is a shame that the area manager Evan is supporting his managers actions. Stay safe from the evil out there! This was new to me, staying in the car to have oil changed. Great experience! They are thorough and very nice to the customer. They checked all my fluids, changed the oil and all within 20 minutes and I did not leave the car. Fantastic place to do business with I will definitely be back again. If you need an oil change I definitely recommend you try this place.Good People, Great Service!

What's an ok experience. Like everything in life, had to wait longer than 15min, plan accordingly its an ABOUT depending on how busy they are... on top of that, they rushed through the majority of the inspection included on a $79+ "complete service" below what was actually done some services where not eveb offered at all: Oil change Nut and gasket Lubricate chassis (where applicable) Under chassis visual inspection1/2 Under hood visual inspection Reset oil change light Automatic transmission fluid Brake fluidDid not asked - Differential fluids (if requested) Power steering fluid Radiator fluidDid not asked - Transfer case fluid (if requested) Windshield washer fluid Air filter Battery test (at participating locations)Did not asked Cabin air filter (if requested) Headlights and taillights Serpentine belt Tire pressure1/2 Wiper bladesThere's room for improvement.I would rather wait for quality than rush through quantity...

The service was professional, timely and very convenient. They gave me the oil change I went there for & refilled other necessary fluids, but not with out asking me first. The amazing part of being able to sit in the car and get full service with out having to leave the comfort of my vehicle topped the experience off. I left feeling good about my experience & safe, satisfied & comfortable about my vehicles performance!

This Valvoline double charged me for an oil change as I was using Groupon. Had other work done as well. See receipt. I visited 3 times trying to get a refund, bringing the receipt each time. Each time they admitted it was their mistake. They said a refund would be mailed 3 times and it never came. It has been 6 weeks. Can't get a refund from Groupon or Valvoline. $75.00 down the drain.

I had a great experience at the Hershey Valvoline. Minimal wait time and Michael was so friendly and even helped fix my windshield wiper. Highly recommend, if you're in the area.

As a frustrated customer of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, I feel compelled to write about my recent experience. To put it simply, I am beyond disappointed with the service I received.During the routine oil change, the technician spilled oil over the serpentine belt. When pulling out of the garage to exit, the serpentine belt slipped off. I explained to the technician outside there s oil underneath that was spilled. It was obvious to both of us but she was insistent on denying that her technician spilled oil. I understand that accidents can happen, but the lack of accountability and professionalism displayed by the Valvoline Instant Oil Change staff was unacceptable. Rather than taking ownership of their mistake and providing a solution, they were defensive and dismissive of my concerns.After the technician put the belt back on I had to take my vehicle to a competent mechanic to ensure the vehicle was safe to drive. It is truly disheartening to see a company that claims to prioritize customer satisfaction fall so short in their efforts. I urge others to reconsider their choice of service provider and avoid Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Hershey at all costs.Service: Oil change

Amazing service the guys took care of everything I didn't even know I needed when i just went for an oil change. I even got my headlight fixed all in less than 15 minutes and everyone was super polite.

I went it for a simple oil change on a very busy Saturday. Not only was everyone in a very good mood despite the chaos but they took their time to explain things to me. Michael R is the one who serviced up top on my car and Maritza is listed as manager on my invoice which I assume was the female who also looked under the hood of my car with Michael. They talked amongst themselves and they noticed my oil was BLACK and I have a newer turbo in my vehicle so they explained to me about flushing every so often to clean out the debris and I honestly had no idea this was a thing with newer turbos - so we did just that and my vehicle runs 110% better, smooth as butter. No more hesitating or it taking a while to accelerate. I knew something was wrong but I didn t know the solution was so simple. Thank you guys so much!!!Service: Oil change

Made it 3 miles down the road after getting an oil change here before my car was billowing smoke. I pulled over and popped the hood to see my engine compartment coated in oil and it dripping down into a puddle underneath. I am sitting on the side of the road waiting for someone from Valvoline to come look at it right now. I can think of better ways to spend my Saturday afternoon.Update: The manager came out. He was as helpful as he could be. It wasn't his fault. Someone put an oil filter on without a gasket. He offered to refund me for the oil change which I accepted but then he sat there on the phone for nearly 30 minutes before I told him I had to leave. Was told they will mail me a refund. In the meantime, my hour commute home turned into 3 hours, the engine compartment on my new car (this was literally the first oil change since I bought it) is covered with about a quart of oil that will smoke until it either burns off or I pay to have it detailed, and some farmer has a puddle of oil in his stone driveway where I pulled over. I got a "sorry about that."

It was 5:15 when I arrived (close to closing time)at the Valvoline in Hershey. The mechanic told me it would be just a few minutes then I could pull into the garage. THE SERVICE WAS INCREDIBLEfrom beginning to end. The mechanic was very knowledgeable, explained everything and patient. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! KUDOS for services well done! I had never used Valvoline Instant Oil change prior to this visit, but will be returning again the next time my oil is in need of changing. Fast and Friendly service! No appointment needed and Answered a few questions and they took good care of explaining what they were doing and they were nice and professional while I waited in my car as they did everything right in front of me. Good price oil change and definitely like the easiness of getting it done.

KEVIN and The WHOLE ENTIRE TEAM ARE AMAZING!!!! Awesome awesome awesome service, They keep the customers talking, They make service fast, fun, and informative, it was like entering a whole other world, or a Broadway show, But In a Garage setting, these guys all had such a rhythm going and kept services humming along, No wonder they re so busy, Hopefully their manager (if they read their reviews) will print a copy of this off for each of their employee files for A job very well done, each Person served the driver such great assistance, information, and Added a sense of humor and personal touch, I would seriously give Kevin a raise who was Our main guy, but even the guy as you entered was so friendly, welcoming, interested in if we ve been there before, very conversational, as was the Guy standing just outside while we pulled out who wished us a Great day and safe travels in the meantime until we see them all again, You seriously couldn t ask for more, better, or any Greater of a Team these guys were ALL EXCEPTIONAL!!!! I love going to this Valvoline oil change location. The employees here get 5 stars across the board. They really go over your vehicle and are not pushy or condescending when letting you know what your car can benefit from. I was there once again this past weekend. I would have never have known that my front brake pads were wore all the way down if it wasn't for Michael and his crew pointing it out. Even though they do not service brakes at this location they bought it to my attention. I made an appointment this week to have them replaced before I do damage to my rotors. Thanks again guys for helping out this single gal in taking the best care of my car!!! I will be back soon to have my CVT oil changed. Great customer service and honesty at this location. These guys were on the ball! Friendly and fast. Basic oil change and they even checked all my lights for me which I guess was included. Helpful drive thru service for a mom of 4 and these guys were also great towards my kids. Just fantastic service!
