In late September, I hit a rock on I-84 and blew a tire. Managed to put the spare on and wobble my way to the nearest exit. Asked at the gas station if there was a tire place nearby and they said 'Go down the road to AutoMarx'. I happened to drive in at lunchtime, but Mark was kind enough to stop and help me out. He got me fixed up and back on the road so I could make it to my folks about an hour away. He and his staff really went out of their way to help and I will always appreciate that. My cars manufacturer emailed me saying I needed to get my tires rotated, so I stopped by these guys to check. They looked at my tires and said they ve got enough tread and are wearing evenly so you don t need to do anything. They are good people. Recommended.

My car broke down on Rt 84.. AutoMarx, Mark is exceptionally experienced with Lexus and Toyota repair... thought I needed a new alternator- since I had the same problem a few weeks earlier at home and got the starter replaced. Mark quickly diagnosed the problem- a loose cable on my my battery! He fixed it replaced the cable- only $20. Mark is very knowledgeable- he gave me a lot of other tips on how my car should be maintained and he is extremely honest- not like the guy who replaced my a starter that I didn't need. I would even consider driving back here 2.5 hours from Connecticut to have him work on my car.Mark is a good guy who also gives back to the community- on fire/rescue for many years!

If you have an impossible flat tire, he will be right there and can replace it within a day.

I couldn t thank Mark enough! I was driving down i84 pulling a large camper and had a radiator hose blow. Mark had me back on the road within 2 hours of my incident! He was honest, thorough and genuinely cares for vehicle and safety! If you need any help I can confidently say this is the place to go!

Great tow service and roadside assistance, he didn't even rake me over the coals cost wise. Friendly and knowledgeable, it's clear that Mark has a passion for what he does. His business is an asset to the community, I would recommend it to anyone.

I broke down on I-84 in my 1989 lifted Jeep Cherokee hundreds of miles from home. I am posting this in September of 2020 & my breakdown happened in March of 2006. AAA towed me to Mark's shop late in the day on a Friday.Mark rebuilt my entire front axle in a weekend. He drove me everywhere while working on my Jeep... place to stay, food & even the junkyard to pull some axle parts. Mark's shop was typically closed on weekends, but took close to 20 hours of his time to help out a stranger.I no longer live in the NorthEastern United States, but if I was driving within a hundred miles of Mark's shop & broke down... I would 100% go there again. I was a one time customer & Mark knew it, but he treated me like family. These guys can actually balance spline drive wire wheels for old British sports cars. They did a perfect job at a good price. They got rid of the high speed wobble I had suffered for years. Very nice guys.

Had a flat tire and stopped by this shop to fix it. Owner was very friendly and did a great job patching the tire (which apparently had two holes in it). The price was very affordable as well. Thank you.

Truly the very BEST Auto Repair in the entire Poconos. Mark won't quit till the job is done right. Stands behind and honors all his repairs!!! Best find since moving to the Poconos was finding AUTOMARX!!!

He is great The own er I believe his name is Mark. I listen to what he was saying to me about my vehicle. He was dead on about some things, I already knew. In this day and age for mechanic to be honest it's almost heard unheard of.

The family I am marrying into has known Mark a long time. So naturally, when my fianc�s car was acting up I took it to him. What would take any shop in this area DAYS to accomplish, Mark did it in hours between other car jobs! The man works miracles. Honesty and intelligence make this shop a 5 star shop above the rest. Lost an oil cap on a cross-country trip, and was directed to Automarx when I ran into the gas station to figure out where to get help. Not only did they source the part immediately, I could tell by sitting in the shop for a couple of hours how much they care about getting the job done right. If you are in the area, and I need of auto repair, I cannot recommend them enough.

Let's cut to the chase: I had, on a cross-country trip, what I thought was the great misfortune of having car problems just outside of the tiny town of Lord's Valley, PA. My misfortune rapidly turned into fortune: I met Mark, as Master a mechanic as *any* I have dealt with in 50 years of being a member of the motoring public. Should you need automotive repair work anywhere within shooting distance of AutoMarx, consider yourself incredibly lucky, and get yourself to AutoMarx. You'll be very glad you did.
