My car was having issues with two tires. Bill diagnosed the issue very quickly and offered the best solution. He is honest and will not try to up sell you or rip you off. I will be going to Havertown Automotive for all my regular maintenance moving forward. Highly recommended!

Havertown Automotive is hands down my go to auto shop. They're honest, really flexible, and provide a stress free experience. Bill and his team keep you in the loop about everything and work around your schedule. If you need automotive work done, they're the ones to go to! Could not recommend more.

Bill and his team is amazing! I highly recommend anyone to come here for your vehicle service. They have a lot varieties of service so make sure you call before ahead of time to see what they can do for you. A few months ago, my wife needed repairs to her under plate and they fixed it without any hassle. Today, I'm back for an oil change and they went above and beyond to fit me in for the service. I set up an appointment ahead of time for a very minor repair, I arrived on time and could not find anyone in the shop. About 15 minutes after I arrived a gentleman came by, I told him I had an appointment and what work needed to be done, and although he was polite, he told me he was unaware of any appointments or the work I have requested. He came out and look at my car and without looking at all the points that I had requested service on need a series of assumptions about the extremity of the work, didn't know how to remove or make repairs to very simple parts and claimed entire door panels would have to be removed and it would take hours to complete. Eventually but he doesn't do that kind of work, and that I needed to come back about 6 hours later when a different gentleman would be in that does that work. I came back to find again, although I have scheduled a return appointment, no one was aware of my appointment or the work I needed and the gentleman who was supposed to be able to make the simple repairs came up with a list of extensive parts unrelated to the repairs I actually needed analyst of excuses as to why he couldn't make the repair.I wasted an entire day driving to and from this service center to be fed excuses and ultimately have no work completed. Later I went to an auto parts store or I was able to buy the light bulbs that needed changing for just a few dollars and did the work myself.

Brought my wife's car here to get a second opinion. Not only was the quote half of the other shop's quote, but the owner stayed open late to fix my issue on the spot. He even gave me a ride home in the meantime. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars. They will certainly be my new go-to shop for repairs.

If you want trustworthy auto services in Havertown, there is only one Havertown Automotive! Thanks Bill! If I could give this mechanic 0 stars, I absolutely would. This was the WORST customer service I have ever experienced. I brought my car in for an inspection and left with a leak and broken brake hardware because of the owner, Bill and his team. Rather than calling to inform me they were struggling to get the brake drum off and informing me they could not pass the inspection, they forcefully ripped off the drum, knowing how much damage it could cause if not removed properly. In every inspection I ve ever had the mechanic will call to ensure I agree with any work that needs to be performed in order to pass inspection. Bill s mechanics did not give me the opportunity to make a decision about my car and instead left me with over $500 worth of damage. The fact that they knowingly did something destructive to the car without the owners consent is utterly ridiculous. Bill s remedy to the situation - charge me a mere $600 to fix what his team had broke. Needless to say, I had to have my car towed to a different mechanic as Bill proved he was unreliable and untrustworthy. I called a few days later to discuss the situation with Bill. Instead of owning up for a mistake his team made, he completely lost his temper within a minute of speaking, screamed at me, and then hung up the phone. I will never give business to an owner who has zero integrity and no respect for his customers and I wanted to ensure that anyone who thinks about using this mechanic is aware of just how disrespectful Bill is and unreliable his services are.Service: Vehicle Inspection

I found my mechanic! I needed an alignment but couldn't find someone do it after 5pm that had decent reviews and wasn't from a chain. I'm so glad I came across Bill. He's a smart and honest guy that just works hard. He's had his shop for decades and has loyal customers because he is transparent in his work. I am usually sceptical of mechanics but Bill has earned my trust and I will not see anyone else moving forward.

My mother went to Havertown Automative earlier this week to look into a check engine light appearing on her car. When I spoke with her yesterday to hear how it went, I could not have been more impressed. Bill was patient, kind, and thoughtful - we both agreed that she should absolutely continue to go to Havertown Automotive for any future service. What a fantastic, trustworthy experience! I broke down at a business next door while on my way home late in the day. I walked over to Havertown Auto and, despite being busy and it being the end of the day, Bill offered to walk over and take a look at my car. We were able to get it to the shop where he checked it over and made me able to get home. Thank you for your help and excellent service!Service: General repairs & maintenance

While on the way to visit my daughter and our son-in-law in PA, my husband noticed an issue with our brakes. We were still a couple of hours or so away, so I googled brake repair services in Havertown. I read the reviews on a few of the places mentioned, but Havertown Automotive stood out for a couple of reasons. First, they were the only service open until 8:00 p.m. and second, the reviews were very impressive concerning the owner, services, etc. We decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. My husband explained that we were on vacation and still had quite a lot of miles to ultimately travel on this trip. With no hesitation, they took our car for a test drive to see what the issue was and said that they would have it fixed for us in a few hours. The owner, Bill, and his Team were so awesome! They took such good care of us and our car was finished in 3-4 hours and ready to pick up....and the cost was $100 less than we were quoted by Bill! I believe this team goes above and beyond and we highly recommend them for any and every service needed! Thanks so much for making our vacation a safe one!!Service: Brakes

I finally found my mechanic in Havertown. After poor experiences with franchise repair shops, I was happy to meet and talk to Bill, the owner of Havertown Automotive, who explained me what HE did to my car. Here you will not be dealing with kids behind a computer and who knows whom touching your car. Professionalism and experience are the name of the game for this small, local business. I highly recommend it and will certainly be back for my maintenance needs going forward.

I have been taking my cars to Havertown Automotive for about 14 years. In that time I've observed and experienced Bill to be a true professional. I've known Bill to stay late into the evening to finish work and return my car to me that night, something I've never experienced with other shops. After trying to do a valve adjustment on my '91 BMW for the first time I was not happy with my results so I brought my car to Bill. He not only did the adjustment for really cheap but also answered my questions and encouraged me to try it again myself next time it's due. My car needed to be inspected. I searched the internet for recommendations and found great reviews for Havertown Automotive. Since they are local, I decided to give them a try. I was not disappointed. They did the work that was required and didn t try to sell me anything I didn t need. A few days later I got a nail in my tire. The mechanic remembered me from the inspection and looked at my tire immediately. He gave me a temporary fix until he could fix it completely. I use to always bring my car to the dealership for all repairs. Now I have a new local place for repairs. Thanks Havertown Automotive!

Bill has been my mechanic for 20+ years. He explains my problem, shows me damaged or worn out parts first where necessary. He is an excellent diagnostician. Discusses problems before any work is done. Honest & caring. Tries to work around my schedule. Glad he is my mechanic.

I'm 26, know nothing about cars. I came in with a car I got from carvana and Phil was very patient, genuine & honest. he charged $25 for a complete inspection and helped plug a loose plug.

I had low pressure while I was drivingand for my luck I was stopped near this Havertown automobileI had received the worst attitude from this bold guy...all I did ask in a polite way plz I have alow pressure can u please check it but with bad attitude he told me schedule an appointment...then he has been talking to me in racist way since I have an accent. I was trying to ask him then he told don't approach me and i don't have my mask on and I was already a distance from him and to assure him I told him I am vaccinated and booster then he told I don't care. But eventually I think he felt guilt he filled the tire with air then he checked the tire like just he was forced to do that and the funny thing he is mechanic but I doubt coz he told to turn off the sound of the hybrid when I was backing off and I said to him this is a hybrid carall I need to sayworld need humanity and really karma will come to youthanks for ur unwanted effortsp.s an advice to you in this life be positive in ur life and eliminate the hate

I visited this location on 3/21/2019 after finding them using snap finances website. I did my research on them and decided to get work done on it. Bill is the owner and he did my brakes and tires and outside of the good work he did i can just tell he is a honest genuine hard worker. 5 stars from me.

Bill is the friendly neighborhood mechanic everyone wishes for. He's honest and forthcoming. He doesn't use fear tactics, and he goes out of his way to explain his rationale to you before performing any mechanical repairs/replacements on your vehicle. He's trustworthy and I recommend him.
