We have been getting our vehicles serviced by Back Mountain Auto Specialists for many years now and they are absolutely fantastic! Mr. Spurlin, the owner, is extremely kind, trustworthy and fair. He runs a very organized and clean shop, with mechanics that are very skilled. When I hit a pothole and blew out a tire, they had me back on the road in 45 minutes. Mr. Spurlin will even send me text messages just to check in to see how my car is running, this is beyond exemplary customer service. We appreciate this business keeping our vehicles in tip top shape!Services: Electrical repair, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Oil change

Modern computers make knowing more in advance before going to an auto repair shop so I did my online research and got a fair market price for my repair.I read the online reviews for Back Mountain Automotive Specialist. I then drove to the shop and asked for a quote. I was given a quote below the fair market price. Wayne said he could do the job the next morning.I left my car late in the afternoon for an early morning repair. The part did not arrive as soon as expected but the work was completed by mid afternoon.When I arrived to pick up my car, I was informed the part was actually less than quoted, and that savings was passed onto me.I am very pleased with the staff, the service, and the pricing.Service: General repairs & maintenance

The people at this garage are wonderful. I had an issue with a sound coming from my brake pedal and they took a look at it as soon as I brought it in. Wayne knew exactly what the problem was and had me in for service in the next week. I even came in late for my appointment and they still took it and were able to get it back to me by 4:30pm. They are amazing and have reasonable prices. Thank you for keeping my family safe. We'll definitely be back again.

My car's engine started having issues after driving through heavily flooded streets in New York. (By the way avoid doing that in the future. I mean you'd rather call a tow truck to move the car across.) I drove from NYC to Harvey's Lake, PA with a lot of problems. The next day I took it to this shop and they were very welcoming and assured me that they'd work on the car and advise me on pricing before they did anything. Also gave me a ride home. Today I picked the car and they had fixed everything. Drives like a new car and I only paid like a $130 and an oil change was also done. Silly engine lights are gone. I'm really happy. That car is my life.

We always take our vehicles here for both inspections and service. The service is good and they are honest and do not overcharge for their services. Dave is great and calls us as soon as the work is done.Trustworthy establishment for auto and truck repairs and inspections.

BMA was recommended to me by a family member who has been a long time customer.Have had multiple repairs done over several years. Diagnosed issues quickly and accurately. Customer service is excellent. Will get the car in quickly and out as promised. Prices are fair and work is great. They have earned my trust which can be a hard thing with auto mechanics.

The guys here are the BEST. I have had bad experiences at almost every dealership within two hours with dishonest service departments who are rotten toward me for being a woman who speaks car. Here, they are kind, patient, honest, reasonably priced, AND they never ask to "talk to my husband". Loyal customer here!!! Can't say enough good things about them.

I found Dave and his business via the Facebook Back Mountain group page. I had my first appointment recently for an oil change and state inspection. Dave is an honest and personable man and he told me he has been in business there for thirty years. My search for an honest mechanic is over, I'll be taking my car back there when I need any service! Thanks Dave and crew!!

My experience in this shop with Mr. David Spurlin was beyond excellent. He is a very good mechanic and honest. He gave me a quote based on the initial diagnostic, but after he found out the car did not need all what he thought he will need to change, he readjusted his bill accordingly, which dropped my bill to a half. That does not happen often, but Mr. Spurlin has an honest business model and excellent customer service.

Absolutely top notch, quality service. Dave at Back Mtn. Auto Specialists provided frequent updates on the condition of my vehicle. They were extremely courteous when we went to pick up. Finally, and most importantly my vehicle is running beautifully, and the cost was fair. If you're in the Wilkes-Barre area you would not be doing yourself a disservice to go the extra mile for Back Mtn. Auto Specialists.

There's no other car repair garage for me. This great local repair shop is convenient, excellent service, and super friendly staff. It's where I take all my vehicles. They do a wonderful job repairing anything I bring it in for, and at more than reasonable rates. There's no other place for me!

They are fixed my car many times one thing that I love about this place is that there have been times that I thought something needed to be repaired and they let me know that it was actually okay and save me a lot of money and anytime I have brought my vehicle there to be fixed it's done in a timely manner and there is no reoccurring problems I highly recommend this location and won't be taking my vehicle anywhere else from this point forward they're also affiliated with AAA and can do state inspections for you
