I work for basement guru our company truck needed work called the office Larry was on the phone right away he said bring the truck in will get it squared out right away we have it running in no time especially where you are so busy that we need a ride old man they deliver they kept a word everybody there was nice the lady in the front desk was nice very professional everything was great that my love going with to the shop very nice for kids they let us take a picture with the car my wife loved it everything about it was good I recommend bringing your vehicle here I'm definitely bringing my vehicle into the shop highly highly recommended to bring your vehicle here .

This shop had great service. We were traveling and broke down here in Pennsylvania with a transmission problem. We called Dons performance and he said come on and I ll get on it as quick as I can. He checked it out ordered parts put it back together in record time. Honest, friendly, and caring. Thank you so much for your help. It s hard to find honest people these days. DO NOT GO TO THEM! Their receptionist got smart with me and hung up on me. I told them I don't want to do business with them anymore so they put my car on the side of the road and unhooked my fuel line. I had to get my car towed

If your car is in need of maintenance or repairs, go somewhere else or buy a new car. I brought my vehicle in with a specific concern. They said that was fine but found other work that needed to be done. That was odd because the dealer out of state had just done the same work. Within days, I was stranded hours from home because of my original concern that was dismissed. Our other vehicle went in for a routine oil change and annual inspection. Very soon afterward, the engine was destroyed because there was no oil in it. How to kill a vehicle in under 24 hours? Take it here.

Me and my family was vacationing up in Mechanicsburg last week. On the trip up we were experiencing issues with our car. Three lights came on " the road slip assistance and the ABS lights. We continued on the road. When we got into town we had more issues. I noticed there was issues visibly in my rear wheel.Finally we had the van towed to a garage Firestone. I explained that I think it could be the transmission along with issues in my rear wheel that is the cause. Firestone later contacted me saying they think it was the transmission based on the codes. Yet they admitted that they didn't look at the wheel since they just found the transmission issue which they could not repair. So we called around and there was no one who was able to fit us in. Finally we were directed to Don's performance Corner. The people who I spoke to was very nice. I explained my situation and they just told me don't worry we can fit your van in and we can take care of things for you. So we had the van towed there. Later he called to let me know there was no transmission issue but my breaks was all mangled up resulting in alot of the issues I was experiencing. So I gave the ok for the work to be done. He said they would have the work done for us the next day at 12pm. Me and my family took a urbur to a vacation site and was to later be dropped off at noon to Don's garage. We got the call that they were already done before hand. So when we left the vacation site and was dropped off at Don's Garage, we were greeted warmly. I was impressed with the size of the garage. The gentleman we spoke to joked with us and was very pleasant. Don himself who was on the phone gave us details on the work they did. I was impressed. He wished us well. I found the price for the amount of work that was needed was very good. And when I looked at the wheel I saw all new parts. Nothing that looked like it was something sitting on a self for a long time but parts that looked like they came off the assembly line. That blew my mind. Driving back to the hotel I found the van was working great. We continued our vacation and was able to return home safely. Since then we have had no more issues. Because of Don's Performance Corner we were able to finish our vacation and get back home safely. I highly recommend this garage to those looking for good friendly, reliable top not h service. Had my truck for 3 months, charged double the cost of any part needed. Used junk parts that lasted approximately a week and purposely made it hard for other garages to fix their screw ups. Drove from LA to PA in my 2012 Tahoe my transmission gave out in Illinois, contacted a company who towed my truck to PA and dropped it off at Dons performance. Best decision ever. Went in 1 month ago looking to replace my transmission in my 2016 Ford escape they was straight forward about the price no hidden fees the staff was very nice and they know what they are doing thank you very much I will be taking my car there from now on once again thank you Don's performance

Locally, likely the best engine builder, especially for those looking for extra horsepower or torque. The shop is very well equipped, and even has a machine shop. They can also do more routine work at reasonable prices. A family shop from the looks of it, the mechanics and staff seem to be definite car guys. I likely will begin to use them for my more routine work, as it looks like my dealer is turning to a profit oriented up sale mode, which I can understand but doesn't meet my needs and aims. In short, an excellent facility and great staff, I will be using them often if not for all my maintenance and repair.

Needed an engine mount replaced. Dealer quoted me nearly $1,000. Don's did it right and for a fraction of the dealer price and completed the work in a day. A great mom/pop auto shop. One of the few remaining. I had a great experience with having a new transmission installed after my old transmission failed during a vacation to visit family in the area. I felt comfortable enough to leave my vehicle with them for a month while I made a schedule to pick it back up. Larry was very helpful over the phone during the whole process. The price was the most reasonable over a half dozen phone calls to other places. When I came back to get my vehicle, the staff was very nice and very helpful. My vehicle is running great. I could not have asked for a better experience. My Pennsylvania family now knows about Don's Performance.

Took my vehicle in for an engine oil change, transmission oil change, inspection, and to try to find a draw that was killing my battery. Fit me in quickly and my vehicle was done in a day. All good. When I picked my vehicle up I was in a hurry and didn't realize that I didn't get a receipt for my $600+ worth of work. Came back a couple of days later and the gentleman behind the desk acted like I was being irrational for asking for a copy of my receipt. I just wanted proof of the service to keep in my records for when I sell my vehicle. He told me I already had a copy (which I never received) and then acted visibly upset that he had to type my name into his computer and find my record. A few days later I realized that my vehicle was leaking oil in my driveway. Crawled underneath and noticed it was coming from the drain plug. Looked up the torque specs for the drain plug online and took my torque wrench out to see what I could find. Needless to say, it was never torqued to the proper amount.I read the poor reviews of Don's before I made my appointment, but their location close to my residence made me forgive those complaints. In hindsight, I would choose to take my vehicle somewhere else and will do just that next time. Customer service goes a long way and as a new customer I didn't feel valued one bit.I wont tell you to never go here and I doubt every customer experience there is a poor one, I just wanted to share my story.

Been having trouble with my transmission so I thought I would try Dons. Unfortunately the problem with my transmission couldn t be fixed there and had to be taken to a Ford dealership but my experience with Dan was a positive one. He got me scheduled in quickly, was able to look at my car quickly, and gave me his honest opinion where I m sure some other places would have lied and tried to scam me.

I had them resurface a flywheel for me. Dropped it off at the end of a workday at 5. Called me and had it done at around 1 the next day. Very professional and had it done quick and it turned out great. They orginally did a good job installing a transmission and stood by their promises to honor the warrantee. However, when I had an issue before the warrantee expired, I took my vehicle in for service and was then charged for something that I didn't agree to having installed. We eventually came to an agreement on me paying for the gas that was placed into my vehicle and for the part that was installed. All in all, they do good work. But I had a bit of challenge in the end.

These guys are awesome! Their AAA driver jumped my far and sent me to the shop for a new battery. I was only at the shop for less than an hour and they kept me well informed. And they were so kind as well.

I ve been taking two different vehicles here (both different manufacturers and model types) for quite some time now. For both vehicles I wouldn t trust anyone else to touch my cars. I would consider myself a DIY er for most car things, but some things it s best to let a trained professional do. Don s has done excellent work on my vehicles and I will continue to take my vehicles there for as long as I have them. Their prices are industry standard for most everything and the money you pay is well worth it for the quality of the job they do.

Took my mustang down on Monday to get a pair of long tube headers installed, and my aftermarket exhaust modified to fit with the long tubes. I was a little skeptical at first after reading some reviews, but decided to have them cut it shorter to save me the money of another aftermarket system for my headers. The car was done on Wednesday, and I picked it up Thursday morning, and I couldn't be happier! The car sounds great, it's definitely making more power, and their modifications they made to fit the headers look like they were designed that way, not an after thought to make it work. I'll definitely be bringing my car back to get more work done that I can't do myself!

Don's Performance Corner is professional, timely and fairly priced. Both sides of my exhaust manifold needed gaskets AND had bolts broken off in them. I called a few garages, one turned me down saying that the job was too much, two others quoted me $1,400. Don's Performance Corner got the job done and ahead of schedule for $700 (he quoted me $700 to $1,400 if "things got nasty"). I remember the receptionist saying "oh, broken bolts aren't anything special, we get em out lickety split all the time here". This bolts were the main reason the other garages didn't want to take the job.It's very rare for a garage to stick to the low end of their quote in my experience. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received and my truck runs and sounds great. 5 stars.

STAY AWAY FROM DONS!!Put a transmission in for me. Got it out of the shop and 2 miles later crapped out. Towed back. OK<OK ... so everyone makes a mistake right? So vehicle had a problem running and would shut off. Dons "diagnosed" as a fuel pump and rocked my world with the cost. He wanted $475 for a $125 pump.(no labor). Decided to replace myself. Found out not pump at all... but the fuel pump relay. Came back to Don and let him know he misdiagnosed and he threated to call the police on me and threw me out of his shop. This guy is the most arrogant and ignorant business owner I have ever met. I have friends in the police dept. and they say Don calls all the time on his unsatisfied customers. Stay AWAY!

They've done everything from replacing a transmission, installing brake lines I'd bought and didn't have the time/effort to do myself, to taking in a last minute stop for a tire plug. I had a clear leak coming from the unit under my glove box and took the car to the garage. Larry told me it could be the heater box and asked when I could leave the car. I took it back and the hose was flushed; AC worked fine for a week. I took it back and this time they put a silicone seal "band aid" on what they thought was the problem. I got in my car and the AC didn't work AT ALL! I went back in and the tech came out to take a look. He "jiggled" the wires under the glove box and it came back on. But he also said the wire was corroded from the water leaking (why didn't that get replaced????) but it would work. It worked but only on 4 so I went back again. This time Larry said it has to be be the heater box and I'd need to leave the car. It was dropped off on Sunday night - by Tuesday it was determined I needed a new heater box. Larry told me they found one for my car and it would take 8 hours to fix. I called on Thursday and the car was not done but Larry told me I'd have it by end of business on Friday. I called late Friday afternoon and Larry told me it wasn't done. The dash hadn't been put back on yet. So my car was in their garage for 5 business days and was not done in the 8 hours I was given. I did not get a call for my car until 9:15 Monday morning. I paid $810.00 for the labor alone. As I drove my car home, I heard a new noise that was not present when I dropped it off. In addition, the car was dirty in areas that had been clean and now my trunk release inside the car does not work. This experience has been a very expensive nightmare. I will not be returning for further work to my car. My experience with Goodyear and Monroe were bad and I finally thought I'd found a good garage. After this, I am convinced there aren't any good garages or mechanics in the area. It's about the paycheck, not customer satisfaction or quality work.

Was recommended here to get a new transmission after the Nissan dealer quoted me at about 4500 for a new one. In no time, they found me a rebuilt one, with a 100,000 mile warranty, and installed it within a week for $1,000 less than the dealer. Great service, and an honest shop

I was having issues with my transmission shifting properly. Don asked for me to bring it in for a transmission check. Don s mechanic Bim , pulled the pan and sure enough , there was metal shavings covering the pan magnet. Bim put everything back together and I made an appointment with Larry the very next week. The price I received was hundreds under the other quotes and that was for a performance built diesel transmission and converter. I got a 3 year warranty and now I m able to actually turn my truck up , with no worry s. I ve been using Don s for over 15 years , always great service , always honest and I ve never been disappointed!

Can't comment on the work they do at Don's... I didn't get that far. I called one day asking for an appointment to do some performance tuning on my car and was told to stop in a week later at 9:00am. When I got there, I expected to get started, but instead just talked with a tech for a few minutes. Then he spoke with Don and they decided I should come back for a session on the dyno. OK, maybe they didn't have time for it on that particular day. But rather than schedule me for another day, they told me to just check back in a week or so. When I stopped in again a week later, they were too busy to deal with me and said if I could leave the car with them a few days later, they'd work it in as they could. Recall, I'd asked them about some performance tuning, not a state inspection. I was hoping to work with a tech to see what the dyno said and make some tuning adjustments accordingly. I wasn't interested in just leaving it with them to do whatever they wanted, and they obviously weren't interested in working with me. Cost me two weeks, but thankfully I didn't leave any money with them.So beware... if you can leave your car there for basic service, you might be OK. I can't really say. But if you want any sort of customer care or attention, I'd say go somewhere else... like me.

They had a van for over 5 weeks for an inspection, water pump and to block-off refrigerant lines for the rear a.c. evaporator. They only called me to say how much and that the work was done. After 2 weeks, I called them to get the status of the van, and a man barked at me, "We'll call you when it's done!" Poor communication, poor professionalism, this customer was an inconvenience. The work was good, but no sense of urgency to get it done in a timely manner, and horrible communication skills.

Was certain I needed major engine work done on my truck. I explained my problem and from the first moment it was apparent that my and the truck's best interest was in mind. Once they had the truck they found that what I saw might not be the case, called me, did more tests, and concluded that the major work was not the problem. It turned out that there was only a minor issue at the root. Saved me $1000-1500 in repair costs. Could have easily done the work I asked for, and I would have been none the wiser that I didn't have the problem I thought I did. Went camping the next week while pulling a camper, and the truck never missed a beat. I am very appreciative for being treated fairly and honestly.
