I initially went there to have my struts done due to a clunking noise in the front. Nothing else was wrong I left, and it felt like my tires were going to fly off. They were shaking and rattling. And kept telling me that everything was fine. I went back and they advise that my control arms and ball joints were messed up. I didn't go in there with any of these issues because I maintain my car These items were broken during the time they repaired my struts, They ordered the wrong pieces and they had to redo them. They repaired it so they say, but I had to pay to get my car back even though they are the ones that broke the pieces And the problem was still not solved. I had to take my car to another mechanic to fix what they Damaged there was no compensation at all. I ended up wasting almost $3000 between them fixing my car. And having another fix what they damaged, not to mention having to get a rental it was just ridiculous. I asked for the owners information which they refuse to give me so I can report the incident prior to me going to the Internet No one cared because it wasn't their money

Purchased 4 used tires about a month ago. One of the tires started leaking air a few days ago. I took it to another tire shop and they informed me that the tire had a hole on the shoulder area and couldn t be repaired. Upon investigating the tire, I found that the tire was patched from the inside and the patching had came off. That s what was causing the tire to leak air. So I was pretty much sold an already repaired tire. I mean I know these are used tires, so I don t expect them to be in perfect condition. But the tires should not already have holes in them. Especially at the price I paid smh. And when I called them, they stated that they don t provide warranty s because he can t provide to me what s not given to him. Whatever that means! Thankfully I went to the one on Main St in Wilkes Barre and Mike took care of me! Thank you Mike! We will see how the rest of these tires hold up!

These guys are great. Upon pulling up they are always busy yet wave you in to take care of you. I needed summer tires off and my snow tires on. I was in and out less then 30 minutes.Thanks guys.

Got 4 new tires from them a few months ago. The price was pretty good and they mounted, balanced, and disposed of the old tires. My SUV easily passed a state inspection and the tires not only handle well, but wore evenly and slowly. My complaint is coming home from work and forced off the road by a reckless tractor trailer. One of my tires got a gash in it from hitting road debris. I changed to the spare and took it to the shop where I got the tires in the first place. He couldn't fix the tire (almost new with very little to no wear. I didn't rotate them yet) and was asked if I wanted new or used. I thought tires had warranties, especially new one's? This isn't the case. I now have 3 practically new tires and one used oddball which I also had to pay for. Not going back. Will take my business elsewhere.

Horrible . I went there for a wheel alignment and 2 used tires .. drove off and my alignment was still off !! Took it back to them and then told me I needed new lower control arms!! How tf you do a wheel alignment w/o even noticing that I needed lower control arms ?? Insane but yeah would never go back to them !! They are horrible.

Been coming here for years and always greeted with kindness and friendly faces! I have never once felt disrespected or spoken down to by anyone here. They are honest in their abilities and stand behind their work. Truly one of the best places to go for tired and a few other things. They're very considerate and laid back, never pushy about selling anything, just let you know what they think and give you space to decide. They're awesome:)

Waited 45 mins to even be acknowledged just to get 2 tires that may last me 2 months. 1 is almost down to the wear bar. Definitely not worth what I was charged. My fault for not checking the tires before I left. Didn't think I was gonna need to since this place was highly recommended. Will be going else where now to get actual usable tires.

I went to them for tires and had no issues so I decided to use them for my car inspection. They fixed my muffler which was a little loud but said everything else was great. 2 weeks later my car wouldn t start. So I went back to them and asked them to thoroughly look over my car and let me know any other issues beside the starter (which is what I suspected went bad and they confirmed). Another 2 weeks goes by and now my heat suddenly won t work in my car so I popped the hood the see if I needed a refill my anti freeze and discovered that when they replaced my starter they also replaced my battery and did not place the bracket that holds the battery in place. So I had been driving around with my battery shifting around for 2 weeks which is extremely dangerous. I called to ask them why my bracken wasn t secured and without much detail from me or what kind of car I was talking about he immediately said that they didn t put it back because it was rusty. Mind you I was not informed of this when I picked my car up and asked how everything with my car was. It was not a matter of money, they could have replaced the bracket (which I did myself for $6) and I would have gladly paid for that service as well. Now my radiator which had no previous issues is not working. I just find it extremely suspicious that every time I ve gone to them my car has had a new issue that wasn t previously there. I would absolutely NEVER use or recommend their services to anyone not even my worst enemy. It s sad because they come across as great guys but I guess that s to disarm you. Please go anywhere but here.

I love this place! Always friendly, quick and reasonable prices. I ve prob bought 12 tires the last couple years from them, I drive a lot, and they always get me in quick. Plus, waiting room is clean and big so you re not waiting on top of each other. Definitely recommend!! I drive from Scranton just to come here. It s worth it.

Recently had work done on both of our vehicles. Tires- alignment- control arm . And the guys did a great job. Friendly fast service. I usually go to River St for the tires but went to the new location. Thanks again Bill and everyone! We are long time customers.

Went for an alignment a couple days ago and not only did they have the alignment completed within 15 minutes (normally takes atleast an hour), but they told me I needed parts repaired that they discovered are bad during the alignment. They quoted me a verbal quote with no documentation about the work needed or about the adjustments made during the alignment. I went to a reputable location for a second opinion and guess what... the parts they said needed repair dont even exist on my car and an alignment was never completed. So I was charged and for something that was never done and they wanted me to come back for work that isn't needed on my car. They are good for tires, but that's it.

Lemme tell ya I was down ina pickle and These people are the nicest of all the locations! Super clean there and they are very willing to help out. Def make your way over. I m in and out with great pricing. good used tire quality. Marie is a gem at the front desk she was very helpful and Cole personally went out his way to go to another location and get the tire I needed. Will be returning for all my tire and car necessities, thank you smiths !

I've used these guys twice and let me tell you, I will NEVER use them again. And I urge you not to.The first time I went, they sold me 4 used tires and assured me up and down that I'll pass my inspection. Well I didn't!Earlier this week I needed to get 4 tires and there was no other shop in the area with the size I needed. Smith's did so I had no choice.Well, now all 4 of my tire pressure sensors are messed up and they have a big old sign posted that they are not responsible for that. I called and was met with an "I find that hard to believe. Best I can tell you is bring it back" click. Hung up.I regret spending so much money with them. Please, look anywhere else. These guys aren't good.

Had the correct tire I needed, as opposed to 2 others in the area that did not. Also, job done honest, fast and well. Would definitely return.

Update 10/22/2021: It has been a year since my last review was posted and I went back to Smith's for another alignment at their shop on the SanSouci. First words out of the bosses mouth, "Man, you still have that Subaru". This is what I am talking about. They value their customers and remember loyalty. Price was less than other placed I checked in my area and service was on point. 10/10 again. I wish I could give another whole review.Update: Went and get a new set of tires this past weekend (Oct 2020) and the whole experience was as pleasant as always. Staff was friendly even though they were slammed with cars and short handed that day. I priced a few places before hand and all would have been about $100-$150 more than Smith's. Tires ride great and as always if I need anything else I will head here.I also got my car aligned from Smith's. It is one of their other shops but again friendly staff and good prices. My car drives straight as an arrow....right until I have to swerve to miss a pothole.Original review: This is the second time I've come here for my tires. Prices are good, staff is friendly, owner seems like someone you would want to have a beer with. First time I was here I asked if they would use bead sealer because I think my rims were the reason I was losing air pressure. Not only did they seal them, but beforehand they used a grinder to get all the old crud off the rims to ensure a proper seal (I've said seal a lot in this review).TL:DR - Good prices, friendly staff, 10/10

Amazingly fast!! Tires were beyond reasonable prices, especially for new. I was greeted instantly and helped. When I called over the phone beforehand, the gentleman had an amazing knowledge of what tire choices he had for my car!!!!! Will always come back.

Honest place they try to be extremely fair to everyone. Prices aren't crazy an overly priced . Its great to find a place that will NOT take advantage of you. This was not my first trip there and definitely not my last. I will stay as a return custumer because of how im treated as a customer. Yall have my loyalty thanks to Shaun.

I needed 4 new tires on my vehicle and decided to check this place out since I've heard great things. I got 4 used (but look brand new) tires for $170. They were extremely professional and the whole process took less than an hour. I'll definitely go back.

Received dangerously incompetent service here.Bought four used tires and had them mounted there two weeks ago.My boyfriend heard a noise on his way to work and when he investigated discovered that every lug nut was extremely loose.Mgmt defended this mistake by insisting that them coming loose in the first 50 miles is normal.
