This place has gone down in the last 5 years. They are taking over an hour n a half to do an alignment. That shouldn t take that long I used to come there and be out 20-30 mins. Now I just waited 2 hours for n alignment check.. and two weeks ago or so they did it originally and it wasn t straight. I won t be coming back to this location anymore . People shouldn t be waiting that long for an alignment.

I always rotate my tires when I change my oil, but all of my jack stands are currently being used to restore a hot rod I'm currently building, so I needed to take the truck somewhere to have the tires rotated. Made an appointment to get the tires rotated on my truck for the next day.I show up 15 minutes early and the gentlemen at the service desk was friendly and got my information entered into the system. I had my 6 YO son with me, and since this was a simple tire rotation with an appointment made, I thought we would be in and out. The previous day I had changed my oil, checked all of my fluids, changed my air filter, etc. so I knew no maintenance was needed on my 4 YO diesel truck with low mileage. The tech who was "doing a thorough checklist" was working under the hood of my truck for an hour. The total visit time was an hour and a half for a simple prescheduled tire rotation. Anyone who knows these kinds of places also knows that he was hunting for anything that they could add on as "recommended service" to inflate the price and make the visit more profitable for them. What is scary is how much time he was hunting around under there and what he could have been messing with. It's a truly shady situation. Last time I checked, the tires were on the outside of a vehicle, not under the hood. After all of that time "working" under the hood, I finally got my truck back just to discover the next morning that the "tech" didn't even check the tire pressures. Most medium/heavy duty pickups require a higher PSI in the rear to comply with the manufacturer's door sticker recommendations. My truck's tire pressures were 10 PSI higher in the front than the back, which means he just rotated them and didn't check them. Honestly I wouldn't have given it a second thought if we had only been there for 20-30 minutes, but the "tech" wasted an hour trying to dig money out of the engine bay instead of just correctly performing the service I was there for.A young man that was there for an oil change before me ended up getting a nearly $1,000 estimate for additional "recommended work". I couldn't believe some of their "recommendations" to him.The gentleman at the front counter was apologetic and ended up not charging me for the rotation. To be clear, I did not ask for any discounts, nor did I get upset or appear frustrated. He clearly understood the situation and was frustrated with his "tech" as well.TLDR: my truck is so new and freshly serviced they couldn't find anything to try and sell me. If your car isn't brand new, be prepared to be upsold like crazy by these people. To me, this is inherently a shady way to run a business where most people have to take a tech on his word regarding what is recommended because they simply don't know any better.

This Firestone store (Hanover PA) completed the service I requested in a timely manner. It was easy to make an appaointment and I dropped the vehicle off ahead of time. Dave B. kept me aware of the progress on my vehicle and explained any issues that cropped up. I was notified promptly when the vehicle was completed and the check-out was quick and easy.

Went in for an oil change and replacement of an axle seal. A piece broke while trying to replace the seal and was told multiple times nothing was wrong and the only reason they admitted it was messed up, was because they couldn't make any more excuses as to why i could not have my car back. They also fixed other problems with the car before fixing the original problem. Would not recommend, the store manager did try their best to resolve the issue but wont be returning due to lack of honesty and getting the runaround.

I appreciated the transparency in pricing. There were no hidden fees, and the cost of the installation was clearly communicated before the service began. From the initial inquiry to the completion of the tires installation, the staff was friendly, accommodating, and focused on ensuring a positive customer experience.

The shop did an excellent job on my vehicle and finished the job in a timely manner. The store manager Dave was very helpful and kept me informed on the status of the vehicle the entire time.

I've driven in without an appointment on 3 separate occasions with puncture issues and they have always been friendly, professional, and trustworthy. And always in and out in less than an hour.

Couldn't schedule an appointment for a state inspection because the gentleman on the phone told me to "check back later this week," because "I don't have many state inspection stickers left."I'll go elsewhere, thanks for nothing

WRONG OIL FILTER!Inspection and simple oil and filter change causes engine damage! This past week took my vehicle to Firestone Hanover PA for an inspection and since it was due for an oil change, an oil and filter change. When picking up the vehicle the engine oil light was on and the engine was ticking. We inquired to the "tech", we'll call him B, about the situation. He told us that the light was on when we dropped the vehicle off, which it absolutely was not.We drove the vehicle home but thereafter the vehicle would not start. After contacting the manager he had the vehicle towed back to their facility where they pulled the codes. The code came back as po520 and po600, relating to oil pressure switch. I was informed that it would cost 463$ to change the oil pressure sensor. Since I thought the quote was very high to change a simple sensor, I opted to drive the vehicle back to my house.I started looking at the vehicle and decided since the oil pressure light was NOT on previously, I would review the work performed. When I removed the oil filter cap I noticed that the filter appeared to be crushed into the filter housing. That didn't look good! I decided to purchase another filter from the local AA store. I replaced the filter and wualaa it's a miracle, or was it just using the correct replacement parts. The oil pressure indicator lamp turned off within 3 seconds and the check engine went off shortly there after. So, not only is B a horrible mechanic who cannot select the correct replacement oil filter, he is a liar as well. He went back and doctored the invoice/work order to state the oil pressure light was on when receiving the vehicle which was an absolute lie. We were quoted a repair cost for 463$ to repair a non existing problem, a problem that I fixed for less than 8$, and a problem created by their B.I have no idea what/how much internal engine damage has occurred by starving the engine of oil, but it did shut off several times driving it home.In closing, DO NOT take your vehicle to Firestone Hanover PA until/unless they remove this "tech" completely from the staff. He should not touch another vehicle and cannot be trusted not to falsify documentation.P.S. Mr. Bogast, the manager, is VERY professional and has my utmost respect for trying to resolve the problem.

Had car towed here. Estimate provided over 1k for a fuel pump. I didn't feel the price should be that high had it towed else where. Once I got my car to the new location, they advised to me it wasn't even the fuel pump. That someone put diesel in my car! They did not even tell me there was diesel in my car.... Went from being told over 1k to only 400 bucks to clean my car out from the diesel places in it. Runs fine now. Stay away from this place. I paid 130 bucks to be told incorrect information and almost ripped off!

I originally brought my vehicle in for an oil change, and the mechanics told me that I had an oil leak. Repairing the oil leak took several hours longer than I was originally told, because my vehicle is old and the bolts were stuck. Nevertheless, they still charged me the same price they originally quoted. I had driven it a few miles when the check engine light went off, and I took it back in again. A hose was old and cracked and they replaced it for me, free of charge. I was very wary of using a Firestone as I've heard plenty of negative experiences about them. I cannot comment on other firestones, but this one treated me very well, I think especially due to the manager, Brian. I'll be coming here again for my vehicle service.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

Filled out their form online to get an oil change, pick car and model, for them to tell me after I got here they don t have the oil here. Why confirm the appointment in the first place if you didn t have the product to do the service?

Firestone did a great job, they recommended a new Bridgestone tire for the left rear even though the original 3 tires were factory installed. It all worked out well I've been a customer over 5yrs now!

Not happy. Had tires from tire rack delivered there. It was supposed to be cheap for the installation. I left with a bill of over $600. I did agree to an inspection, which I needed. I also agreed to having brake pads replaced, which I was told I needed. The work that was actually performed was much more involved, including replacing the rotors. I did not realize. I would've gotten that done at the dealership where I purchased my vehicle. The manager said they don't sell tires. They sell the next visit. I feel hustled.UPDATE: it took a while, but they made things right.Services: Tires, Brake service & repair

DO NOT RECOMMEND!Took the car in for a full service alignment, wheel balance, and tire rotation. Salesman tried selling me an accessory belt replacement on a freshly rebuilt engine, and an oil change even though it was done the night before. I declined both services and was still presented with an estimate for a rear brake replacement for about $1,000 (which i declined). In total I paid nearly $200 for an incomplete alignment due to an "equipment malfunction." Salesman was also boasting that they turned over 60 cars the day before, I hope they inform those customers that their equipment may have been faulty.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Wheel alignment

I went in thinking I needed everything under the sun for my vehicle. I ended up needing only rear brakes, rear tires and they found slow leaks that they are checking out for me next week and he got me a quote to take home for tires. Chris was great and he was very helpful. Prices were lower than other shops I have been to and I'll be coming here for my future services just because of the experience I had today. I appreciate the fact he didn't try to sell me things I didn't need and was very honest about the work that I did need done and that was recommended. Taking your car to the shop isn't a fun time, but Chrismade it less painful. Thanks guys!

Great helpful folks! Always pleasant. Have been coming to them to service my car since I first stayed with my partner on the weekends while I lived in DC Metro area and have made them my permanent auto care since moving here in 2020.They are always helpful and friendly, have tons of knowledge, open on both Saturdays and Sundays and offer their exclusive credit card if you have an emergency for those who qualify. If you need to wait a few hours and can't go back to your house, then there is a shopping plaza you can hang out at, right next door.If there's an issue with your vehicle, they give you all the paperwork to show what the issue is and an out the door total estimate of how much you will owe. Pretty standard for any auto care shop. As any vehicle servicing place they will recommend you fix the issue now, but if you can't, they are not pushy. At least they have never been with us.Their pricing is comparable to every other place, but probably cheaper than a dealership servicing. They also have their own deals and promotions. I have always been very mistrustful of any auto care shop, but these folks have slowly convinced me otherwise. Hopefully it will stay that way!Giving FIVE stars because of1. Incredibly convenient hours of operation most auto shops don't offer (especially after COVID);2. Credit card option;3. Estimates upfront;4. Pleasant folks on the phone and face to face interaction;5. Letting you know how long it would take to service your car and sticking with it unless they find an issue with your vehicle and you decide to fix it that day.Keep doing what you are doing!

Brought my work truck in for a tag light out and a brake concern.Did a fantastic job on the brakes, not one complaint there, the tag light, however that never got fixed. Even after stating 3 separate 6 was the main reason for bringing it in.

Had a good experience getting tires. Months later called about getting a tire patched and they are booked out several days. The man I spoke with could not fit the car in unless I left my car there all day. We live 30 minutes away and that would not work. So tough luck and I need to call someone else. Not good customer service.Service: TiresService: Tires

This review is only for this location not Firestone as a whole. As a former employee of Firestone I have resisted posting a negative review for this location in the past however since it is a repetitive thing the feedback is necessary. The manner in which employees at this location speak to customers is absurd and unacceptable by the Firestone standards I was taught while working for the company. The first instance was with my wife's vehicle and snide comments made when I purchased a new vehicle so I have taken my vehicle to the dealership since knowing they charge more just because of the attitude of employees at this location. However, It has been two years so I went to schedule a drop off state inspection and the individual made it sound like he was doing me the favor and my business was inconvenient by fitting in a drop off appointment scheduled a week out. Being a former employee I understand the back end and how things get busy however, we never turned away or gave the impression it was inconvenient for us for a drop off for a PA state inspection especially with that amount of time given. I called other mechanics in the area just to see their wait time and apparently this location has to be the go to for everyone in the area as no other shops and dealerships had issues with availability for drop offs all week.

You'll see a lot of reviews that say "I got my vehicle inspected and they say that they need around $2000 worth of work to pass." Well, those reviews are telling the truth. I'm giving 2 stars because they are friendly folks, and they update you through the process. They replaced my brake line and got my windshield wipers to work again. So they recommended I get my inspection done there, too, and I did. I certainly wasn't expecting a laundry list of things needed to pass their inspection totaling about $2 grand, including my front bearings that were done a year ago. Also, the word "warranty" popped up more than once while being told what all I "needed". So I took my truck to a mechanic that was recommended to me by more than one person, and he passed my truck the first time. Didn't need new shocks, or wheels, or front bearings. Oh yeah, the first thing they said I needed were new tires. Imagine that. Oh, and the Firestone card they try to push on you every time. Can't take no for an answer, but got to keep saying it. So take it from me and all those other "$2000" inspection reviews, and don't go here for that. For other repairs, then yeah go for it. They're nice and punctual for the most part, but I can't help but feel I was trying to be taken for a ride where my inspection was concerned.

Definitely a 5-star company. I had two flats and needed someone to come out to my place and replace the two tires. They told me they don't really do that, but they figured out a way to get it done - same day. They came out, took my two wheels, brought it back to their shop, changed the tires, and brought it back and put them on. And they charged me an honest rate for their time. Will recommend them and will use them in the future for sure. Thanks guys!
