I placed an order on 7/21/2023 for the DX-9000 four-post car lift with two rolling air jacks and installation. I was told it would take about four to six weeks for delivery and installation. While feeling like a kid in a candy store, I was a little let down, but I figured I had waited over thirty years, so what were a few extra weeks? Fast forward two and a half weeks, and I received a phone call asking to set up delivery and installation. The next available day for delivery and install was 8/10/2023, around 2:00 pm, which I quickly booked. Now, the delivery day was here, and it was only a matter of time before they arrived. So, I called a few friends to stop by and take a look at my new lift being installed. My friends stopped by, and we waited, and then waited some more. It was close to 3:30 pm when I called to check on the status of the delivery. I was told they were running behind from their first install and asked if it would be okay if they came at 5:00 pm. I asked, "How long should it take to install?" They replied with about four hours or so. I said I didn't have a problem if they were okay coming at 5:00 pm.The install crew arrived around 5:30 pm and started right away. They were very careful unloading and moving the parts around, handling everything with care. As it was getting late, I ordered some pizza for everyone, thinking they could use a quick break. As the evening went on, the lift slowly got installed; however, this was not without its own set of challenges. During the installation, there seemed to be some technical difficulties, and around 11:30 pm, I told the installers to wrap it up as they had over an hour's drive back. The installers were both kind, and one of them assured me not to worry, that they would get everything taken care of, and they kept apologizing for not finishing.I called Advantage Lifts in the morning, and they sent a new technician to my house the next day. He was able to adjust the cables and prevent them from chipping the paint on the posts, which took him about two hours. I asked the technician about any form of compensation, as the previous technician had mentioned the night before. He said I would have to call the office to work something out, but I would have to pay the installation balance in full.I called the next day and spoke to a few different people, explaining what had happened. I also mentioned that the second technician informed me that the drip trays would not work if you set the lift to the widest setting. I was not notified about that when I purchased the lift in July. The manager said they would send out tray extenders free of charge for the mix-up and would get back to me about compensation. It's been over two weeks, and I haven't received any phone calls regarding compensation, but I did receive the tray extenders. I called today (8/29/23), and the only compensation Advantage Lifts is willing to offer is touch-up paint and tray extenders for a lift that took almost nine hours to fully install and was damaged during the process. I believe the touch-up paint should be covered under warranty, as the installers damaged my post, and the tray extenders should have been included in the larger lift package or at least noted at the time of purchase. If you are looking for a quality lift, you can't go wrong with Advantage Lifts. However, if you are looking for a company that stands behind not only their product but also their installers, you might want to consider other options.

Picked out the lift at Barrett Jackson in January and the team at Advantage held it for me until June while my shed was being built. Install was seamless and Dale the installer even came back after hours to train me on operation and maintenance of my new lift. Couldn t be happier with my new XL lift.

Great company to deal with, excellent communications and support. The lift is perfect for fitting into a normal 2 car garage, I had 10' of clearance to my support beam and able to store both cars with a comfortable margin. All of the components and install hardware are high quality and engineered to far exceed normal use, the online videos were very helpful for assembly.

Install of my Backyard Buddy "Wide Buddy" took about a 1/2 day - had some issues after initial install with lock adjustment, but the techs came back within 2 days to address and now working perfectly. Easy to operate as well as load/unload cars.

I purchased the alsc10 two post lift. Very happy with the price and service although the installers wired the safety shut off wrong and the cable for the locks keep coming loose. Small things I fixed myself. The major disappointment is the inside width. You can barely open the door on pickups and family sized SUVs

I have the 2 post 12C. This lift by far exceeds my expectations! It is built so heavy duty and works excellent! Was a fast easy transaction. I had them install it and I am glad I did.

Completely frustrated and disappointed with the way Advantage Lifts and Pat Myers of Central Valley Equipment-Freedom Lift & Equipment Services has handled my purchase. Be forewarned. I highly recommend you look elsewhere for your lift needs and desires. 18 weeks later and I am still waiting for someone, anyone, from AL/ CVE-FLES, to reply regarding order # SOADV16643 ! DP

Lift seems ok, nothing special. I ve owned it for about 8 months now. Installers used wrong bolts to fasten together, installers were recommended and hired by Advantage. I called to get replacement nuts to correct the situation but never heard back from them. So I just purchased them myself to correct the incorrect installation. Not a lot of money but I see as a sign of poor customer service after company has my money.

Very disappointing that they have sold out to china like so many others. The only thing left that is made in the usa as they claim is the name. The lifts may be inspected in PA after oversea shipping, I dont know. What I can say is we paid a premium for what I thought was 2 US made lifts only to find MADE IN CHINA proudly stamped on the front. This was a 2 post and 4 post, buyer beware.

Tight fit in existing garage, but the DX9000HD is perfect. Saved me from building a second garage and no more rolling around on the ground for oil changes! Excellent product and customer support.

Only a week old, but very happy with it so far. Looks and feels very well built. The installers(forget their names) knocked out the install in 2 hours. They obviously have put a few together before.

I just had my Advantage DX9000HD lift installed. The lift works great, and fits well in my tight garage space.Mike and the staff (Hayley / Cathy) were a pleasure to work with. He provided considerable technical data to help me ensure the lift would work in my 9'6" garage with my two sports cars. The recommended installer (Liftech) was fabulous. All in all I'm thrilled with the product and the service.

Each time we contacted this company a star was unfortunately taken away. Please note we have three of the 9000HD four post lifts and originally purchased their original Back Yard Buddy four post. As most are loyal to a great product we decided to purchase two 9000HD four post lifts after seeing how long the Back Yard Buddy lasted. To keep things short and simple I'm going to focus on everything that went wrong. During initial delivery the installation company damaged our warehouse concrete floor which they never offered to fix. The two lifts were installed and after inspection they didn't sit flush to the floor, which we had to correct ourselves and worst off the red/grey paint was scratched up pretty bad. We were told there was no way to avoid it due to the installation of such large equipment, then what's the point of having it new? After months of playing phone tag with our sales rep we were sent a box full of touch up paint that looked to be in nail polish containers, we were told this is the best they can do. At this point we should have run and never looked back. Fast forward a year and we were in need of another lift, issue was no other company made them in red/grey so we jumped on a call with a new sales person and talked to them about our experience. We were promised this would never happen again so we decided to give it another shot, also he threw in some free parts and a discounted rate for the lift. At the same time we were noticing some rust spots on the older lifts, please note these are not powder coated and poorly painted. Fast forward a few weeks and the new lift arrives, this time the installers took their time, one was in training and it was done much better. Actually they came back to inspect it because we noticed one side not flush and to insure we adjusted it fine. One cable was a little short and the hydraulic hose is too short which it gets caught when going all the way up. Besides that it has been just fine. But here's the kicker, our other two older lifts, at this point maybe 18 months old, have shown major signs of rust issues. For weeks we went back and forth with multiple people including "manager's", which we were told the lifts have a 2 year rust warranty. They know we are a storage facility for a private client group and after about two weeks of back and forth they finally hit us with "since you're a commercial facility we cannot warranty the lifts because the lift may have gotten wet from a car being stored after a car wash".... I mean what kind of BS is that! It's because the design is really poor once you recognize the issue of the top railing/track not sealed but the bottom being completely welded shut. If you are going to stick by your product then do it and don't misrepresent it. DO NOT BUY THIS LIFT IF YOU WASH YOUR CAR. The rust keeps getting worse of course and the paint is flaking off all over. Not a good way to advertise your product to potential clients, I really hope this company hires a CEO who can put some policies and procedures in place that will save them from anymore bad experiences.

Great lift. Did a lot of comparing and this is the one with the best construction and features. Don't know why I waited so long to buy it.The Installation team did a great job and explained all the workings of the lift. Buy one it will make your life a lot better working on your vehicles.

1st I'll say It took me 8 months of visiting showrooms etc.to "decide" the best lift for me.. My Advantage rep (Tony) turned me on to a nearby customer who has one. Once I saw his, I was sold. I bought the Advantage 4 post SS9000XLT-->> I picked mine up in Hanover, PA, at USA lifts.. great facility, great folks, great service.I was especially impressed with the forklift operator,1)He believes in the product2)He placed "scrap" plywood on my trailer before loading my lift.. This attention to detail and concern for my trailer is greatly appreciated.

I bought an Advantage 12F two post lift for my home garage with 10 -2 ceiling after more than a year of study. I couldn t be be more pleased with it. The price of it was so right, and the quality is right up there with lifts costing much more. I set the whole thing up by myself using a 75 dollar block and tackle to hoist the columns into place and I ran a 208V power line to my garage. Assembly was much easier than I thought and is very intuitive. This thing is a beast-it handles my 7500 lb Cadillac Escalade with ease and is versatile enough to handle my little MGB sports car. It is very handsome with red and grey powdercoat and very easy to operate. When my friends come over they are blown away by this thing. I use it for storage and repairs. One thing any buyer should note is that the columns measure 10 -2 and the arc of swing during column erection is greater than that-my garage ceiling had to be opened up to accommodate the swing path.

Like many of us, I've been contemplating the purchase of a lift for years but it was the last oil change on the Alfa that finally did it. Struggling under that low slung car just wasn't working for me anymore and, on a chance visit to the Mecum Auction in Harrisburg PA, there it was, "the lift".The reps were fun and very knowledgeable and it was "pull the trigger" time. I did, they delivered and it was fascinating to watch them install the lift. Yes, my friends and I thought about putting it together ourselves but, gotta remember whose going to be getting under this thing! And these guys do it for a living and have all the nuances of an installation under their belt. Great install, great product, would recommend it and the dealer.

Lift is fine, customer service is horrible. I ve called 3 times about a leaking hydraulic line and have only spoken to a real person once (still not resolved). They hound you with emails until you buy and I guess that s where the caring stops. I purchased an Advantage Lift because I saw Wayne from the TV show Chasing Classic Cars talking highly about them. I had a another manufacturer s lift at my previous house and was much happier with that one. I plan to buy two 4 posts lifts in the future and I will definitely go elsewhere to buy.

The lift has worked fine except for a mis-adjusted cable the installers missed. Been installed for a while now. I want people to know about the customer service. I asked about a jack when I purchased my lift. They didn't have them in stock (even though they were advertising them). I called my salesman multiple times and he always said the same thing... "I'll get back with you". Never did he "get back with me". I called the company and complained because I was wanting a jack but could not get him to respond. Company said the same thing.."we'll have him to contact you". Once again, he never did. I finally gave up and quit trying. This salesman is still working for this company and I assume still making empty promises.

Post sales service needs to improve, and people need to return calls/provide service. Initial purchase service was outstanding, but the longer you own, the less interest the company has in servicing you, particularly in Arizona. There's only 1 person who provides service, where he has a full time job (not with Advantage), his voicemail is often full, and he doesn't typically return calls. Keep this in mind, as these lifts break down (hydraulic cylinders, cables, etc.), and when they do, it will take some effort to get the problem resolved. If you're a commercial customer (where time is money), you should definitely shop elsewhere.

Would you work with a car on this lift with welds like these? Zero quality control. Not safe.

  Jay

Bought the lift because I was interested in the wide stance the problem is that the lift is terrible. Unloaded it takes five minutes todecent from full up. FIVE MINUTES. What shop has that kind of time. Oce the tires of the vehicle hiys the ground it takes close to a minute for the lift to go down the rest of the way. Contacted the company several times and they said it's a know issue but they won't do anything about it. We order two lifts, one looks like it was painted with a rattle can and the other one the welds look like they were done by a child.

Dont buy if you live out of state. Their 1 year warranty means nothing. My lift would not work . They NEVER sent anyone out to fix it. I waited 1 month. Advantage lifts dont seem to even care it doesnt work. I ended up fixing it myself. Loose wire. A mistake by their installer.

My son bought a four post lift from them on Wednesday and they installed it on Monday. The lift is very nicely constructed and I was impressed with the design. They are very friendly and helpful and the installation team was good also and made sure everything was adjusted correctly. I highly recommend them.

I've had the lift for about 18 months and love it. The install team was on time, quick and very helpful. Here's a couple of things I'd like to see them do. It would be great if they could off more colors, especially something more neutral than red. I wish they could offer a sensor you can place on the roof of the car to tell you how much space you have until the ceiling. It could actually calculate if you have room to lift up another step level.
