What an awesome experience at mikes shop! Took my car in to his shop to get my break lights checked and fixed! He fixed them. Explained what was wrong and what I will need to replace in the future! After paying we had a good half hour conversation about how he serviced a lot of peoples cars that are well known and in the public eye! Also told me a little about his life and how he built his business from the ground up! Awesome guy very knowledgeable too! I ll definitely be bring my car back to him in the future!

Mike is an amazing mechanic and person. My entire family uses him. Mike is honest, good & friendly. We feel very lucky to have found him.

Mike with Hinkles Auto Repair is the best mechanic my family and I have ever used. He is an extremely gifted mechanic that always gets the job done quickly and efficiently . He is also the most honest mechanic we have ever used. So much so that I now consider him a friend. Oh and I bring all my dirt bikes there as well. He can do it ALL!

Boulder in the middle of the lane on the north-east extension 2 miles from quartertown. Got off the turnpike and called Hinkle s. Mike was great. Put the van up immediately and identified that we required a body shop. That the Boulder damage most likely would cost more than the current value of the car. Two young kids and 4 adults and Mike walked us through what to do next. Allowed us to leave the car in the back until a tow truck could come. Had the state troop stop by so we could report it and helped us get a rental. His empathy and honesty for our situation was refreshing.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Hinkles new location at 136 Washington Street is just as good as his last. The most genuine mechanic I have ever worked with. He is always willing to help in a pinch and never points you in the wrong direction. Every question and every concern I have ever had about any of my cars is addressed quickly and accurately. I appreciate what he does for my family, friends, and myself. A good review is the least I could do :)

Mike Hinkle is by far the best mechanic I ve yet (and won t be going anywhere else) to have work on my vehicle. He informs you as the customer throughout the process (explains the why) and doesn t take advantage/overcharge for services that you don t need. If you re in the area and looking for an honest shop that does quality work look no further.

Felt like I might have been getting hosed by my mechanic and wanted a second opinion. I called them to asked questions and explained my case. The person on the phone was amazing, he explained everything to me and that my mechanic was not at fault, and was only guilty of being lazy. They never saw a dime off this phone call. They spent the time and gave me honest feedback without gaining service or money for it which shows me that they are good and honest. I'll be taking my car here in the future.

Hinkel Auto is Heaven sent! For so many years when I first moved to Pennsylvania from New York my family and I went from mechanic to mechanic often very disappointed by the quality of work and knowledge of so many "local" repair shops. That was until we happened to get a reference from a friend about Hinkel Auto and the owner Mike Hinkel's quality of work and knowledge! That was almost 10 years ago and we have never went to another mechanic since! Mike is the only person who I trust for all and any of my vehicles needs and maintenance. I have even purchased new vehicles with free emissions and inspection as part of the deal from the dealership but I have absolutely ignored that and instead taking my vehicles to Hinkel's auto as I trust them FAR more then the dealership! Anytime that I have had to bring my vehicle in, It didn't take long for Mike to figure out exactly what the problem was, to explain it In great detail to me, give me any options I might have, and then finally execute the repair ASAP! Trust me when I say, you will not be sorry In the work and craftsmanship of the repairs, they are a life saver thats for sure!Services: Electrical repair, Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, Brakes, Battery

I have had a number of my vehicles serviced by Mike. I have found great service at this local business. Mike is very knowledgable, honest, and informative. This is one service facility that will not give you the run-around. I highly recommend this business with a "10" rating.

Have delivered to Mike s garage a lot of tires as i work for UPS.And finally when i had a concern for my car he took care of it on his day off and also gave me a huge discount on labor.Taking my car back for more work as i know he will take care of it.

I never had work done there... Just not very personable.... If they don't want people parking during non-business hours they should post it... Rather than taking upon them selfs to try to move your car or block your car in..... What a bunch of a..holes......
