This museum is very well done! You start on floor 4 and work your way down. There are elevators or stairs. The exhibits are well thought out and the artifacts are really interesting. Our family really enjoyed this place and the favorite part was going up into the cupola to take in the view similar to what Buford would have seen. You will get a nice overview of the battle here so this is a nice starting point if you don t know much about the events that took place at Gettysburg.

I loved this museum! From the exhibits showing the first day of fighting to medicinal exhibits showing you the buildings history as a hospital and seminary. My favorite part was the cupola. Although it was windy, the guide brought us into the battle and how General Buford watched and commanded. It had great views of the town and the battlefield alike. I would always recommend the Seminary Ridge Museum and Education Center.

I admit, I didn't know anything about the history of this school and the significance of this location, particularly this building. Also, if you are doing the auto tour that the NPS offers, it starts at the nearby Reynolds field (visible from the cupola), so it was the perfect place to start. You just need to go a minute up the road for the first stop, plus you get the whole history of the significance of the location since the battle started right there.I bought a ticket for the cupola tour and museum ahead of time online (I think it was $32). It was absolutely worth it. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, the grounds are beautifully kept, the bathroom is really clean, and the tour and museum are amazing. The cupola tour lets you go up in the attic, where you can see the original construction and wood workmanship. Fascinating. I have a fear of heights and vertigo, but the cupola itself wasn't bad. There is a staircase and railing to the top, a wide basically double outer railing and plenty of space. And the views are amazing!! Our guide, Mary, was like a walking encyclopedia. She also clearly loves her job.The entire building is a museum. Each of the 3 floors of exhibits has a theme, and the exhibits are well done. I particularly enjoyed the floor about medicine and death during the Civil War.

My gf and I stopped through the property during the auto tour of gettysburg and decided given the weather at that time we'd stop the tour and explore the museum. It was a very interesting experience and a glimpse into our country's past and history, neither of us are big history buffs but to see the way we lived and what the soldiers went through as well as the fight against slavery was an amazing time. Definitely would recommend stopping in only $13 as well so it doesn't hurt your pocket

We attended the "24 Hours on the Ridge" program. This was our first visit to Gettysburg. What we saw of the program was great. The sunset tour of the cupola was spectacular. The staff was very friendly and the exhibits were interesting. We really enjoyed our time there.

The private tour was incredible! Our tour guide was very personable, and he was able to answer every question with ease. 4 story building. Every floor has a different theme. You start at the top and work your way down. That's how it is meant to be experienced! Highly recommend!

Very interesting museum. Lots of realistic representations of the battle aftermath. Our guide to the cupola, Cody, was very knowledgeable and gave us details we had not heard before.

What a great addition to the historic area, we spent hours on this multiple floor and intuitive approach to life in Gettysburg before, during, and after. Family friendly displays and activities, don't worry about some sensitive photos as they have provided high viewing boxes away from prying eyes.

You have to make time for this well-executed museum! Pay for the visit to the cupola, the guides are FANTASTIC!! Helps to frame the beginning of the battle. Excellent value, and the package deals get you access to some other worthwhile landmarks and museums.

Spectacular Museum that gave a very insightful vision of the beginning of the battle of Gettysburg. Amazing displays, great stories, and laid out in a way that was helpful and informative on how the battle played out. I would say a must see.

We had the opportunity to participate in the escape room here called "Escape from Seminary Ridge". Getting the tickets were extremely easy and we did the room at night. We parked in the parking lot, but had to go all the way around the building to find the door. It is completely accessible though. I should have done some research about the building beforehand because there is an awesome 3 story museum under the attic space they are using for the escape room. I would give yourself a minimum of 90 minutes to view the museum. The escape room was clever and mixed with historical facts. While we didn't finish, we had such a fun experience. I won't review any of the actual escape room, you will just have to try it out for yourself.

I highly recommend the cupola tour. The view of the battlefield, and the perspective that view gives is eye opening. Our guide (I think it was, Cody or Colby, so sorry I can't remember his name) was very informative and painted a vivid picture of how and why the cupola was used. The rest of the museum is done very well. The short videos on each floor are very informative, and well done. We were very happy that we stopped in, and would happily go back.

Awesome! The museum is so well laid out and informative. An extra bonus is going up in the cupola just as Buford and Reynolds did on July 1st!! Nate was our guide for that and was fantastic!! Do not miss this place!!

The Gettysburg Seminary Ridge Museum offers 4 floors of museum history related to their role in the American Civil War. Two staircases and an elevator are available on site to assist those with mobility issues. Each floor contains 6 rooms of history and a short video about the topics discussed on that floor. The displays are life-like and very convincing. A lot of reading is involved for the full effect. It was very detailed.Admission cost was $10 + 8.1% amusement tax.

This is a great place to begin your journey of the Battle of Gettysburg. Plan on an hour, at least. Call ahead if you want to go up to the cupola. Only small groups, including the guide, can go up at the same time. Even though there are several narrow stairs to get up to the top, the journey is well worth the climb. All the people we met that work there are so nice and knowledgeable.God bkess your visit

An awesome, new museum for your Gettysburg trip! Exhibits include the first day of the battle in detail, the experience in civil war hospitals, and the issues and stories surrounding slavery. Price of admission is fairly cheap, and while the optional cupola tour can dig into your wallet a bit it's totally worth it for history buffs in my opinion. So if you want a cheaper museum visit on your trip and want to know more about the first day of the battle this is the place to go ma friends. Peace!

Another must see stop in Gettysburg. Plan on spending several hours here and taking in the story of the first day of battle and what happened in and around this building. My wife is handicapped and the tour is completely accessible (she is on a small electric scooter). We enjoyed our visit immensely.
