Was visiting Gettysburg and had issue with brakes, they opened at 8 am Monday and were able to get me right in even though had other cars in shop, they knew I had an emergency in order to get back home. They repaired my brakes in just two hours, even explained in detail what they did. Very reliable, friendly service with extremely reasonable rates!!! Would definitely recommend them to anyone!Service: Brakes

My friend and I are from Long Island and were in Gettysburg for a three day event and on the morning of the first day I blew my brake lining. I found MAE'S Auto Repair on a Google search and was able to get the car to their shop before it opened.When Mark showed up, he was as nice as can be and said he would be happy to look at the car. He and his mechanics, Gary and Larry worked on the car and in 90 minutes had us on the road. All the while we were making congenial small talk. These guys were the best!!! And the pricing was really fair!!!! All in all, my experience with MAE'S Auto Repair was superlative and can't be beat!!! This gentleman was awesome he didn t hesitate to get me in for a oil change everyone I called 5 places said they were to busy . In Gettysburg on Saturday for an anniversary vacation, I scraped a chunk out of one of my front tires on a sharp curb in downtown Gettysburg. MAE Auto was the only place open at the time, so I called to ask if my tire would make it home. The owner said to come right over, paused what he was doing, and took care of my car right away, reassuring me that my tire would make it home and moving it to the rear just in case. He even tried to not charge me for his time. He is a great, genuine guy and a military veteran. I wish I lived closer so I could take my cars for service with him all the time. Definitely stop by if you need any work, you'll get a fair shake from a trustworthy guy.

I was in town for a First Responder Event for the National Park and found myself in a tough spot hit and run driver destroyed my Radiator. Mark and another wonderful kind woman there who offered me amazing hospitality. Mark replaced my Radiator despite my issue. It's hard in the world we live in today to trust people. But these people are extremely kind and the service was cheap. I extremely recommend to anyone this shop for their car repairs. Trust me your car will be in caring hands!

After having a bad experience from another local shop. I called them because I needed my Lexus inspected. They were all down to earth.Mark realized a problem and fixed it. Hands down thee best experience. Will always go here from now on.

Exceptional service! Open 7 days a week! Mark saved our anniversary weekend when the Subaru's front brakes started squealing. He ordered new pads right away but didn't try to sell us anything until he made a full diagnosis. Mark is very friendly and knowledgeable. And makes good conversation if you want to hang out while he works!! Thank you for saving the day!!

The only shop my family trusts! We had a dealer warranty on our one car, but their service was horrible. We intentionally broke the warranty to have our vehicle serviced by Mark because we trust him and his crew that much. Honest and hard working with FAIR pricing. Support this veteran owned small business!!

The most honest and nicest mechanics I've ever dealt with, my car broke down 2 and a half hours a way from home and mark told me what was wrong and offered to tow it all the way back. Um, these guys are efffing fantastic! We arrived for the first part of a family vacation from Detroit. We arrived at our hotel and realized we had a mostly flat tire. It was a Saturday, the front desk help at the hotel graciously called around and found MAE's. We nursed the car there and we were back on the road in less than 30 minutes with a fixed tire. Everyone there was impressive, super nice, fast service! I'm not sure I've seen better customer service, ever. Price was so reasonable, I gave more than double. Well worth it. These guys have earned every bit of their rating. Thank you!!!

I am hesitant to share my secret but I feel like I really should because the owner is such an amazing guy. Yes, it's true from the outside looking in you'd think there's a little too much chaos going on. But the proof is in the pudding as they say. All my repair work is done on time and under the estimate. Even when there have been times I wouldn't have known otherwise, the owner is honest and only charges for needed work at a reasonable cost. Maybe it's because he's a veteran or maybe it's just that's who he is, but I doubt I'll ever take my business elsewhere. So there, now I told you and my conscious is clear.. just maybe don't all run there at once, k? k.

At 4:15 on Saturday in Gettysburg, our brakes began making a horrendous sound, threatening to ruin our anniversary weekend away. We found Mark via Facebook, and he agreed to stay open late to look at our car. His wife even agreed to drive into town on a Saturday night to pick up the brake pads we needed. Service was great, price was more than fair. Mark is a good guy who does good work. This is a veteran-owned business. I recommend it highly.

We experienced car trouble while camping in Gettysburg, I called Mae's on Sunday morning (they were open!!!) They took my car in right away, picked up the required part and installed it within 1 hour. Mark was a pleasure to deal with and seamed very trustworthy. He was even willing to repair the car at our campground if i wasn't able to get it to the shop. He save the last day of our vacation and got us home trouble-free. I wish this repair shop was in my hometown, i would use them all the time. Their pricing was also extremely fair. - Thanks Mark.

We met up with Mark at the auto parts store in town, and he helped us with some engine cleaning advice without hesitation. We then went to him for an oxygen sensor replacement. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun to chat with. We found our new mechanic.

I couldn't be more happier to find a new mechanic! It's always a little stressful when searching for a new mechanic but so far, Mark and his crew have been nothing but helpful, honest, and nice. They work with you to come up with the best possible solution and do not push services on to you. I am one for reading reviews and they matter to me. I don't write a whole lot of them but this one deserves a 5 star review!

Daryl has been my mechanic for 30 years. I've stuck with him because he is competent, reliable and fair. I have receive good service on various makes and models over the years. He also checked out a used car I was planning on buying. I trust his expertise and honesty.

Had my fuel injector cleaned and my break fluids exchanged for a dirt cheap price. Saved me a bundle, did it in a timely fashion, and vacuumed under the hood free of charge. Friendly service too.Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance

We were broken down over the weekend here. He was the only mechanic open. He gave me a ride back into town, worked all day on a Sunday to fix my car at a fair price. I would recommend this shop. I appreciate his help.

Had a flat tire on a Saturday morning and this was the only place open and Mark was very kind. He showed up in a timely manner and went above and beyond to help us out. I had a wedding to get to and he made us his priority over everything else. I would give him 10/5 stars if I could

Me and my family broke down we got toed to this shop. It was Sunday and it was a holiday weekend. Me and my family are from Ny and we moved to North Carolina so we where on our way home. And Mark was able to get the parts and took the time to get us back on the road so I can get my family home. Great guy fast worker and verry nice. he re built the hole passenger side where my wheel snapped. Me and my family thank u for everything. God bless. I recommend any one to his shop u can't get better service then that.

Not only did the owner give me a ride to and from downtown while my car was being worked on but he finished the repairs in a short amount of time. This will be my 1st Google review and it is totally worth it.If you're in the Gettysburg PA area, or anywhere really and are looking for an inexpensive, fast, reliable, professional, helpful, kind, mechanic. Then Mark Eyer, the owner and operator of Mae's auto repair is your number one go to guy.I brought my 2003 Chevy Impala into his garage for what I thought was just a transmission leak. As it turns out my vehicle had a slue if other issues including a blown head gasket! Which is pretty dang serious.I am more then thankful that even though I brought my car in for 1 issue (that I was aware of), that Mark took his time to give my car an over all look and thankfully discovered something that could of been potentially fatal had the oil dripping on my exhaust pipe catch fire.His prices are cheaper then any other mechanics I've ever encountered. At $45 an hour for labor, you're not going to find this high quality of work and care for any lower.Mark, even took the time to discuss what was wrong with my vehicle, he answered any and every question that I could think of to ask and is always a phone call away if I have any more. I truly appreciate him talking to me so that I have a better understanding of not only how my car works, but how these parts are supposed to be functioning and or what they look like. He even showed me my old parts and pointed out each thing that was wrong with them and walked me through the new parts.I used to live in Gettysburg but reside in Virginia, I have been visiting family in PA, when I noticed my transmission leaking, that is what lead me to Mae's auto repair garage. I can say I have found a mechanic for life. If my car ever has trouble again I know exactly where I'm going to take it, I don't care how far away I have to drive for it, or have it towed.For low rates and above and beyond service and customer support, you most certainly can put your car in the hands of Mark and he will do it justice.Thank you so much again for all of your help, I truly appreciate it. -Ciara

We had a flat on a Saturday morning and this was the only place that was open. They took us right in, replaced the tire and got us on the road for a very fair price. Very friendly folks. If I lived there they would be my regular mechanic.

Mark went above and beyond to help me get my Bravada back on the road. His prices were also way under other estimates I was given. Seems to be very honest, straightforward and is very personable. So far, I would definetly recommend him and his shop.

We are visiting Gettysburg for the weekend and blew a tire on a Friday afternoon. MAE's was the only place we could find open on Saturday. Mark and Crystal worked us in immediately and got us back on the road. They are honest, kind and professional. Thank you both for helping us.
