I called the shop because I felt like I was drawn to them to get answers on my car. I explained that I could not move my gear in and out of PARK and reverse without having to push down on some type of brake switch system.I cannot remember what the name of that button is. However, it was located in the middle counsel of my car.Without going into much detail, he told me that the previous company I went to Miss diagnose my issue and should have known better.He basically diagnosed my car over the phone and offered to take a quick look at it to confirm his diagnostics.I got the car to him and he took the time out of his busy schedule to hook my car up to a machine and literally saved me hundreds, if not, thousands of dollars.The previous company, which I will not name was a well-known company that I did not know, had a bad reputation at the time.They were going to try to pull apart my transmission to clean it and Had already given me an estimated cost of $300. They told me that it may be more depending on what they find.The thought of someone pulling apart a perfectly good transmission and not fixing the issue. Sounds like a living nightmare.I m so thankful that this man was honest and took the time to help me out. I went and got my braking system fixed as he suggested, and everything works perfectly fine.Thank you!

Most honest mechanic I know! Not many people even know there's a price for mechanic and different for customer... he will show you a receipt and tell you exactly how many hours it took.. even cut hours off if he feels it could have been done faster. Never heard of any mechanic or tradesman that would go that far to be fair!

Tony's Automotive is hands down the best place in Delaware County to have your vehicle(s) serviced. It's family owned and the staff is very friendly and honest. Pricing is better than average as well. My family has trusted Tony's Automotive for years. They also sell reliable used vehicles here. I highly recommend this place over any other for repairs and used vehicles that don't break the bank!

Tony has been my mechanic since i have become physically disabled. Tony is not only thorough he come to my rescue a few times. He is not like most mechanics that rob people. He CARES AND I ALWAYS PAY HIM MORE BECAUSE OF HIS KINDNESS AND HONESTY. THESE BAD REVIEWS ARE RIDICULOUS. THE GUY IS FAIR AND HE TREATS PEOPLE WITH RESPECT. BUT MOSTLY GETS THE JOB DONE AT A FAIR PRICE AND HIS CARS ARE HAND PICKED. I GIVE TONY AND MATT 2 thumbs up

After a great night out in Philadelphia. We woke up to our car not starting and after calling AAA I'm now thinking I need a new starter. Had truck towed here and within an hour I was back on the road. Instead of a new starter my timing belt had popped. What a difference in diagnosis and price. Great guys, excellent work!

I really didn't have any interaction with them. My friend had his car towed there and I just went to pick him up. It was after hours. Approximately 3:30 a.m. he was asleep in the car and I didn't see him, it took me another hour and a half to wake him up because his phone died. I'm sure it's a great automotive shop. That was my visit to Tony's.

Tony's is the #1 place to buy high-end, great quality, pre-owned cars regardless of your budget. Also, this is the absolute best place in the Tri-state area to get repair work done. Prices are extremely competitive and fair. Their turnaround time is always faster than any other mechanic in the area.

Went to look at a used car and offered them 4200 on the phone and they agreed when I got there they said it was 5200 even though they agreed to 4200. They were very unprofessional. The response was that s a thousand dollar difference instead they could have negotiated. If they can t be professional with this then who knows if they can with working on cars. I DO NOT RECCOMEND this place as they don t keep their word. If your looking for a used car go somewhere else not here. You can get a nicer and reliable used car for around the same price at the Toyota dealership.

We love this mechanic honestly they give the greatest prices they're always Fair they always tell you what's going on the sweetest guys work there I have recommended them to all my family members we have brought more than one car there I would recommend them to anyone and everyone Al is such a sweet guy honestly if you are thinking about going there just do it you will not regret it

My daughter and me stopped in to look for a cheap reliable car.And we found it.Al was great went back for inspection and will be back for oil change and brakes in future.Good old fashioned neighborhood shop.Not looking to take advantage of you.Very down to earth people.They are my knew mechanic shop.No need go anywhere else.

Super friendly, knowledgeable and with a very family atmosphere. You can buy a car, get the inspection, tags, plates, title, litterly everything you need in a one stop shop. Car broke down? Just give them a call! Im so happy to have found this place. Highly recommend.

So I have never been to this shop but I just purchased a piece of junk car from Michael's used cars in Lansdowne, that was "inspected" at this shop. I looked up the station code to be sure. I bought the car in December of 2020 and it had just been inspected in November of 2020. It should NOT have passed. I guess they have a deal with each other. It needs brakes. It needs new tires because they are rotting. The car is overheating and someone, somewhere along the way put a substance in the engine to try and stop a leak. The very next day after I bought it it wouldn't start. I had to replace the wiring leading to the battery and it needed a motor mount. So needless to say the car is not drivable and is now just sitting. So not sure who at this shop in good conscience passed this car, but it was needed to take my 74 yrs old Mother to her doctor's appts and so forth. So please staff at Tony's, if you have a soul stop passing bad cars off as safe. Human beings are behind the wheels of these cars.

Family owned business, Tony is an Ace Mechanic. I've been having dealings with this business for years, and have never had a problem. They also do inspection, I recommend them to all my family and friends

Very disappointed with the service here. I brought my daughters car here to get a noise fixed that I thought was coming from the alternator. I drop the car off to have the alternator replaced, brought the new alternator for them and everything. Turns out the noise wasn t coming from the alternator, it was coming from the tensioner. So they asked me if I still wanted to have the alternator replaced and I said yes, just go ahead and do it anyway. Here s the problem, when they replaced the alternator, they broke a sensor and caused the check engine light to go on. When I asked them why the check engine light was on, they said it was on when the car was dropped off.... I know for a fact that the light wasn t on when I dropped it off. Now the car is in a different shop and I told them that I needed the tensioner replaced and a new serpentine belt installed and for them to also check what s up with the check engine light. I didn t mention anything about the alternator being replaced recently. Don t you know the mechanic called me and said, whoever installed your alternator broke this sensor while installing.... Now I m out $500+.... please pass this place by, I wish they would have just been honest about a mistake they made.
