Incredible service! I had an ongoing issue with my BMW 6 series. I had taken to other service stations and had no resolution to the problem. I even took it to Sun Motors where the only fixed the symptoms not actually the problem that led to more issues later on what was very costly at the dealership never got to the issue setting off a host off smaller continuous problems which no one could diagnose.Mike and his team used proper diagnostic tools and equipment to root out a quite difficult electronic problem. Mike pulled pieces of my relay and actually put under a magnifying scope and found a part of the board was detaching when the ambient outside temperature was at a certain degree. Mike kept the car and tested with small test drive and finally got the problem to replicate.Mike s knowledge of BMW is comparable to the dealership but a step above because he took the time to investigate every symptom not just throw parts and money into it which was done by everyone else which was so frustrating and costly. Lewis auto repair a much more economical and customer service delivery. Mike even called the next day to check how the car was performing. I would recommend this as your first stop before the dealership and I would recommend if you have a diagnosis from the dealership that you take it to Lewis Auto Repair for a second option. They are a certified BMW mechanic and use only OEM parts which comes with a warranty. Ask bout Mikes BMW master certifications and yo will understand the difference in want he is able to handle and the why behind it. I can tell you from calling around he is one of very few if any with the training outside the area. Thanks again to Mike and Lewis Auto Repair. Another shop messed up a repair and tried to cover it up. When confronted, they took it to Lewis Auto Care to get it done right. I've trusted Mike and his team for many years since. Always honest, friendly, and fair. I was about to purchase a used vehicle today and brought it by for their approval. They pointed out things the dealer was trying to hide and stopped me from making that mistake. I really wanted it too, but I absolutely value their judgement and expertise. I highly recommend and will be returning with any further work needed.

Absolutely wonderful experience, wouldn't go anywhere else for automotive needs in the Harrisburg region. Owner is incredibly considerate and helpful; he's also focused on helping you the customer, not just getting the highest pay day.Very knowledgeable about Tesla's too; handled my needs just perfectly. Would recommend anyone to go here.Would add that there's a 4% added charge for paying with credit cards. So, if you can, cash is the better way to go.

I had a coolant leak from a couple of different spots! They identified the problem and all the places the leaks were coming from! My car is running great and the service was good at a reasonable price. Will definitely return for future work.

This shop and Mike and his fellow mechanics are the best. I have never been dissatisfied with their work or taken advantage of. Being a woman they try their best to help in any way they can to make any and all car repairs affordable and top quality. And they have never treated me with respect and Mike will explain in detail any and all repairs needed. Anyone, man or WOMAN can take their car in for repairs to this company and know with confidence it will be done honestly and properly and it will not be released until it is.

This guy Mike , I don t recommend to go to this shop for nothing unless it s a oil change or you have time and money to waste, Mike had my car last year for 1 months and couples weeks he charge me 950 to fix which was paid in full.my car it had and key issue and I wasn t able to check my oil, over a month he had me car for he didn t fixed my car he straight up told me he don t have the time to fix it, without any refund or anything, I made a review about his service he gave me , we talk and I thought we had a resolution, he said buy the parts and bring the car back to the shop and he will fix it , which I did he ended up having my car for 3+ weeks , from my observation he did nothing to the car after 3 weeks again, I went for my in the same condition, didn t get a refund , he didn t even give me a good story, for the whole 3 weeks he had my car for , every time I called him his response was here working on your car, please if you read this don t do any form of business with this man , I wish I could give a negative 5 star

If I could choose zero stars, I would.TLDR - Quoted $X - Charged $2X and did a very poor job.I STRONGLY SUGGEST YOU GET A PAPER QUOTE BEFORE YOU LET THEM DO ANY WORK.The owner/manager quoted me $4-500. After the second day of being unable to get this DIY level job done (throwing every excuse and story at me I've heard) he actually spoke with customer service (of the part I was having installed) on the phone and told them, "Fine, I'll just duct take it to his dashboard." He thought that was really funny, but the next time I spoke with them they reminded me that my warranty would not be honored because he was not a certified installer. Extremely unprofessional... In addition to that, the manager/owner made disparaging remarks about the woman from customer service. First, because she was a woman and, "I just would trust a man more.", and then because she had an accent and didn't appear to be American. I thought this was extremely disrespectful. I told him after day 2 that I couldn't afford to be paying for all this extra time that he couldn't get the job done. He again told me that he was going to honor the $4-500 he had quoted me. Fast forward another day and I go to pick it up... (he still didn't get it installed properly... literally, Velcro'd it into my glove box two weeks later the 4 small squares of Velcro gave way and now it s hanging) and he's now charging me over $800. $27 of that was for the Velcro, which is about 3 times the cost of a whole new roll of adhesive-sided Velcro strips.I told him I wasn't going to pay almost twice what he quoted me and then reassured me he would honor the originally quoted price. He told me how hard the job was and that he worked late to get it done. I told him I wasn't paying that amount and he took the keys and walked away saying, "Enjoy the walk home." My car was now a hostage.Do yourself a favor and drive a few more miles to find someone who, A - knows what they're doing. B - is not disrespectful to women or people who are not American. C - is honest regarding pricing. Or just look around and then trust your gut. I should have.Update I received a call from the shop and was threatened that if I did not remove this review they would post a YouTube video of our shop interaction. This is commonly known as blackmail.

This was my first visit to Lewis Auto Care. I had obtained an estimate for brakes on my 2017 BMW and it was a very favorable one. They completed the work before the time promised and called as soon as it was completed. The cost and work completed was exactly as promised. I could not be more pleased and intend to return to Lewis for all my future BMW service.

Towed my van here when the shifter stopped working. The gentleman were awesome and got me back on the road in an hour. The waiting area was pretty nice with leather couches and a big screen tv. Price was fair.

Great service! Took my Mercedes cls 550 and Ford explorer to Mike and he did a great job on both vehicles and I was very happy with the price and service done. Mercedes dealership in 2021 wanted me to buy a new transmission for $8,000 Mike repaired it for a fraction of the cost and it is working perfectly to this day. I will continue to do business with him in the future I wish I could give him 10 stars! He has extensive knowledge about cars and I highly recommend him to everyone.Service: Transmission

Mike and company , have everything you would want, in taking a car to a garage hoping they understand what you want and need and then , That they can actually be able to fix your problem and issues, You can leave, Mike and company, feeling a huge weight has be lifted , with no worries, . My jeep was smoking bad in the beginning of sept 2022, he said it sounds like a head gasket he needed $3000 down to work on it, he had my jeep til the week of Christmas, I stopped for months and called, my dad even tried to get him to work on it. I was so worried he was going to steal my vehicle, I was so stressed, the not knowing, he finally had the heads grinded, he called the week of Xmas it s done, I had to pay $1600 more for my key. This is the 3rd straight year I have taken my Mercedes-Benz Sprinter to Lewis Auto for inspection and service. Mike and his team does a great job, and they are very easy to work with. It is a much better value than taking the vehicle to a dealer. Mike and Sara are a great team. I was visiting family from out of town and my car had an oil leak which got progressively worse with the cold weather. They properly diagnosed and fixed the problem. In addition, they discovered a coolant leak and fixed that as well. Furthermore, they provide written estimates for work to be completed and charge fair prices for the work performed. Mike and Sara provided great and timely service to me and I will seek them out for future auto repairs and maintenance while visiting Harrisburg.

I don t know where to start but this shop rocks! I was having a vibration issue in the driveshaft of my 2002 325i and didn t have time or patience to diagnose the issue myself. Did some research and found Lewis Auto Care and saw that they specialized in BMWs. Mike is very knowledgeable and has a sense of honesty that a lot of other mechanics lack. The flywheel/clutch assembly and Guibo/center support bearing for the driveshaft had to be replaced. He shows you all the parts that have been changed so you know you re not being screwed over. Told me about other things that might be going bad and doesn t try to sell it to you. Very reasonable prices and reliable shop. I would trust them with any vehicleService: Transmission

Great customer service. Mike and crew were quick to diagnose the problems that my car had. They are extremely knowledgeable in their profession. They were able to show me exactly what needed to be repaired/replaced and why. They gave me option on how I could go about handling these repairs if I was not able to get them all done at the same time. There was honesty and no pressure from these guys. If you are looking for a place where there is immense passion and knowledge, I suggest you bring your vehicle here. They will be my go to mechanics for sure! Above was a review I made about 8 months back when I just bought a used 2006 BMW 525xi. After Mike diagnosed all the problems with my car I went through with all the major repairs. I am happy to say that the feel of the car has changed for the better and I am no longer experiencing the problems I had before. I will be returning again to finish up some Tech/electrical and front axle work that I decided to hold off on 8 months ago. After the final repairs are complete, I feel confident that my car will run like it s fresh off the line.Putting their amazing skills aside, these guys personalities have not changed. I cannot stress enough how friendly and honest these guys are. They are a great bunch of guys and make you feel like family. I find myself in the shop longer than I have to be, learning a great deal of information. I ll be confident in buying my next BMW, with Mike and his gang as my mechanics. If you have a Bimmer, Jeep or any car this is 100% the place to bring it.

Mike is terrific. He installed new struts at half the price that was quoted elsewhere. He helped me with issues that arose when I had the alignment done elsewhere. After being referred to Lewis Auto Care from another reliable and trustworthy mechanic, I could not have asked for better and more timely service on my BMW X1. Time was taken to fully explain exactly what was needed and how the task would be completed. This shop would certainly be at the top of my list for future care of my BMW and far superior to any BMW dealership service department in the Harrisburg area.

The place doesn't look like much on the outside, but Mike and the other mechanic were great. Very friendly. I took my brand new Tesla there since it looked like they did work on all kinds of cars. I was very happy and will now take take my other 3 cars there as well.

We just bought a vehicle, and had some issues. But I had some doubts about who we bought our vehicle from and decided to bring it here, because they have fixed our vehicles before. We thought we only had a minor check engine light issue, but we sadly found out that our frame was completely rusted and crumbling. So thank you for your honesty and kindness!!! You truly saved us. Been trying to find "my mechanic" for the past 10 years, but I've never really been able to find someone I can trust in this area. But Mike can be trusted. I needed some simple things done, and the price is reasonable and the work gets done quickly. Nice personal touch as well.
