Sam is an excellent body repair guy and mechanic. Also, an awesome human being. Very particular about his work and makes very sure the job is well done. Hard to find his quality of work these days! Highly recommended!!!

My son's alternator went just outside of Scranton I had to drive an hour south to pick him up and get the truck off the highway. The closest service station was Amico & sons and am I every grateful. Not only did Sam repair my son's truck in a timely fashion he was very fair price wise and was a really nice guy and easy to deal with. If I lived closer to the business I would use them all the time.

TERRIBLE & DISHONEST SERVICE! I highly recommend avoiding this business at ALL cost! They will take advantage of anyone they don't think is knowledgeable about cars.My 2004 Jetta broke down on the I-84 highway near Dunmore, PA. The only symptom was a brief loss of horsepower before I turned the car off and it would not restart. My insurance company towed the vehicle to Amico & Sons garage. I attempted to contact the garage multiple times that day with no success, so I eventually just left a message. I still had not heard from them the next day, so I called again to inquire about the status of my car. The garage stated that the issue was a broken fuel pump that needed to be replaced. I instructed them to replace the fuel pump with a new one. It took two more days for them to replace the pump and subsequently contact me. When I arrived at the garage one of the first things the mechanic stated was that the fuel gauge (in the dash) wasn t working, but that he checked the fuel level by putting a gallon of fuel in the tank. This is impossible as I had just completely filled the tank up immediately prior to it breaking down. At the time I assumed the defunct gauge was due to the broken fuel pump since it was working when the car broke down on the highway. When it was time to pay for the repairs, the owner said he would only take cash or local check, but no plastic. He also stated that if the check was made out in his name, I wouldn't be charged taxes. Upon my drive home I noticed that the gas gauge wasn't working as the mechanic had mentioned. I thought this was unusual because it had worked before, but I knew it could be due to improper orientation of the fuel pump. Upon arriving home, I opened the back seat to inspect the fuel pump and found the pump not oriented properly. I rotated the fuel pump to the appropriate position, but the gauge still did not work. When I called Amico & Sons, they stated that there is no connection from the fuel pump to the gauge in the dash and that the issue must be with the gauge itself, not the pump. This is completely false. I have changed the fuel pump in the car myself before and I know for a fact that there is an electrical connection between the pump and gauge. I subsequently took my car to a local German auto specialist whom I trust. Upon inspection of the fuel pump, it was revealed that the incorrect fuel pump was installed and the electrical connection was broken at some point during the installation of the new pump. I called Amico & Sons and requested that they replace the incorrect fuel pump with the correct one at no cost to me. They refused. I didn't even request that they replace the electrical connection (which they obviously broke) or pay for the inspection by the German auto specialist.

Loved them, they got 2 cars inspected in 1 day instead of 2 days, making my life so much more convenient. Also their dog is awesome!
