I m not one to usually write reviews but this one is much needed, I ve known the Phillips family for over 5 years now from being a past employee to turning into a customer from the the start of my business Mike and Stacy have gone above and beyond to help me out. Phillips Automotive is the true dictionary definition of a small family owned business! Reasonable pricing compared to other local shops and dealers, to easy and up front honest solutions they are truly going to tell you how it is. Mikes not going to just have you throw parts at something if he knows it s something that can be fixed (very well capable and experienced guy, just check out there social medias and see the true craftsmanship and pride that they take in the work they do)I ve been referring people to Phillips ever since I have known them, I recently told a family friend of ours to bring in there Honda pilot that the dealership told them needed the following (cats, 02 sensors, motor mount and trans mount) I personally looked at the vehicle and told them that was not the case and to bring it to Phillips as I did not have the time to make the repairs or property diagnose it myself. Turns out the family friend completely forgot to mention that I sent them, but guess what it isn t necessary when it s a place you can trust! Mike and Stacey were up front with them and the pilot only needed an 02 sensor! Just like that they saved thousands on the repair bill and we re not sold useless unnecessary items.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Great shop, We use them a couple times a year for our 4 cars, always easy to work with. Very honest, this is most important, doesn t try to upsell any issues, unlike all the dealerships/large shops in the area. 100% would go back to this small business for years to come!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenanceServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance, Vehicle Inspection, Wheel alignment, Auto maintenance

I'm writing this to save someone else from having the same experience that I did. First, I trusted the reviews here, but most of them are 2+ years old. Things must have changed.Last Tuesday I made an appointment for some simple service - brakes, oil change, etc. I was told that today (5 days later) was the soonest I could bring it in. Fine. I was also told that they open at 9AM, which I specifically said was fine because I put my kids on the bus at 8:30 and I would come by (in person) after that. No issues.Today, 9AM -- business closed. Door locked. No note on the door (I took a picture). The only note on the door said to call the business number if it was locked, which I did, twice. I stood in full view of the cameras, too, so there can be no dispute that I was there from 9AM-9:30. No answer to my calls, I left a voicemail the last time at exactly 9:30.Went home, frustrated and disappointed. Called at 11, no answer. Called at 12:30, no answer. At 2:30 I received a call with a vague explanation that they "got a late start." I'd say.You had my phone number. I had an appointment. I made an appointment 5 days in advance to accommodate YOUR schedule, and when the day comes, you have no respect for MY time and MY schedule. I blocked the entire day off since I would be without my vehicle. And the only explanation is, "we got a late start?"So, if you value your time, and if you believe (like the rest of the world) that an appointment means you've scheduled a time to have work done (not whenever they decide to come to work), then I suggest you try another shop. Maybe a great mechanic, but if you can't even make a simple call to say "something came up, we had an emergency/issue/problem and can't get you in today" then maybe you shouldn't make appointments.Based on the replies to other reviews, which I should have given more credit, there will be 1,000 things that I did wrong, a non-existent note on the door, I wasn't there at the right time, I should have ignored the gigantic letters on the drop box that say "DO NOT use this box after 8AM" etc etc.Edit: Exactly as I expected. I'm the idiot because I can't read. News flash - I wasn't there as a "Delivery" - I was there as a CUSTOMER. Future customers note the owner's language, "We aren't looking to make friends" -- if that doesn't sum up their attitude toward the customer, I don't know what does.PS -- Mr. Owner -- I have 3 small kids myself, and I own my own business. I also own a phone, and when I know life's curveballs will influence my clients, I pick up the phone and let them know. And 100% of the time they understand, as I would have. But you haven't learned that lesson yet, and instead make your problems everyone else's stupidity because we don't understand your poorly worded signs "Deliveries" is what it says, not "Delivers," but that's neither here nor there.Think about this, perspective customer -- if this is how they treat a new customer, imagine how well they will honor their work and warranty when you have a problem and approach such a humble, understanding, customer-focused owner. The team at Phillips Automotive has worked on three of our cars including a Ford and two Mercedes. They follow a true diagnostic approach to determine the source of the problem and then make sure that it is correctly fixed. It's a lost art, and they have mastered it! When they repaired our exhaust the welds were straight out of a textbook, top notch. Even the lug bolts on the wheels were torqued to spec. Thank you Phillips team!Services: Steering & suspension repair, Auto exhaust system repair, Wheel alignment, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto maintenance

I cannot rave enough about the crew at Phillips Automotive. They are honest, trustworthy, dependable, and affordable. I waited while they patched my tire. My kids played in their awesome waiting space (clean, comfortable, great toys), I had a cup of coffee, and we were back on the road in under 30 minutes. It is a great shop with awesome people that do great work. And it was by far the best experience I have ever had waiting for a car repair - the shop is family friendly, comfortable, and clean.

Mike and the team at Phillips Automotive and repair has always been my go-to shop for basic auto repair. I have brought new cars and old cars to them for inspections, oil changes, brakes, etc. They always do a tremendous job. My cars are always done on time or ahead of schedule and I always put a lot of trust and faith into the shop. They ve never let me down. Even in times where I needed significantly more work than the basic stuff, they have always approached me with the work that is needed, my options and what the cost is ahead of time. I can t say enough about the level of expertise, courtesy and thoroughness from Mike and the team. I would recommend the shop to anyone looking for good, honest auto repair.

I've been taking my car to Phillips Automotive ever since a friend recommended it a few years ago. Mike and his team do excellent work for a fair price. I always feel confident that I'm in good hands whenever I drop my car off there. This place is actually a bit far from my house, but I sacrifice the convenience of close by and easy for quality.

Mike and his team are by far the best in the business. They go above and beyond to make sure the job is done right the first time. Mike has never tried to sell me on anything that is not necessary, and is always upfront and honest. Having someone who you trust take care of your cars is invaluable- Mike is highly recommended!

I purchased a wheelchair accessible van for my grandmother a few years back. When it came time to inspect it I went to four or five shops but none could do the job, telling me the ramp made the van too low to work on and they didn't have the right lifts. Thankfully, the last guy I went to sent me to Mike over on Trestle Place; I was thrilled to hear he could handle grandma's van without a problem. I've been going to Phillips' Automotive ever since and highly recommend it to everyone. Mike is kind, honest and very knowledgeable.

I was introduced to this shop by my husband when we first met and started dating. It was honestly probably the 2nd greatest part of meeting him. They are very reasonable and always get the car taken care of in a timely fashion. I LOVE the fact that I can be a "waiter" in the morning and get an oil change before I start my day. The fact that it's a husband and wife running the business just adds a certain feel of trust and also know that they and their employees take pride in what they do. Hope we stay in the area so they can remain our shop and hopefully as their custom shop grows the repair shop continues to do great work!

Mike and the whole crew at Phillips Automotive are the best. The work is top notch, and Mike is honest and fixes the problem right the first time. I am a woman who takes care of my own car and he never talks down to me or tries to sell me things that I don't need. I'm so glad to have found a shop like this.

Mike and his team are the best. Every time I have ever needed something fixed or worked on that I couldn't do myself, Philips automotive has always been able to get it done right. Super reasonable and honest, Mike is about the only mechanic I trust.

Always honest, courteous service. Will never tell you something needs fixed or replaced unless it actually does. Unlike a lot of other shops that will offer you a cheap inspection to get you in the door, and then won't let you leave with your sticker until you've paid hundreds for stuff that didn't need fixed. The crew at Phillips will only fix what needs fixed and get you back on the road.

I have been taking my cars to Phillips Automotive repair for as long as they've been open. I tried taking my cars to other local shops and dealers, but they do not even come close to Phillips Auto. They are a family based business and their customer service, friendliness, and most importantly honesty reflects that. Mike and his staff will tell you exactly what is going on with your vehicle, and they will do what's in their power to keep your vehicle on the road, or to get it back on the road. I recommend Phillips Auto to all of my friends and family. With their expertise and knowledge of a large variety of makes/modles I know I will continue to take my cars to Phillips Auto.

There is no other shop in the area that I can trust more than these guys. I don't have to worry about getting taken advantage of like I do at the dealership and I know that the work will be done right with the use of quality parts. Mike treats his customer's vehicles as if they were his own and he stands by their work. I even have my mother take her car here.

Phillips automotive and performance is the one stop shop for proper automotive care. The expert crew along with shop owner Mike Phillips, performs everything from precision diagnostics to routine oil changes. It is important to trust the hands and mind behind the future of your vehicle. Phillips Automotve and performance is the shop you can trust.

When I find an HONEST and KNOWLEDGEABLE repair shop I like to stick with them. My wife and I put a lot of miles on our cars and most of the time with our two young daughters in the car, so safety and reliability are important to us. Mike and Kalelor take care of them with no problem. And when the time comes for custom work to be done on my classic cars they'll go to Phillips. Plus it's a locally owned business so my moneys not going to some faceless chain shop thats owned by a company in China.

The best repair shop around. I drive from Phoenixville to have them work on my car. They always take great care of me and never try to sell me stuff I don't really need. Their honesty, fair prices and high quality work has made me a long time customer.

Mike took on the challenge of replacing the engine in my Corvette. Corvettes aren't built like other Chevys, and to achieve some of the upgrades I wanted, Mike had to get creative. His patience, determination, and skills made the project a success. He communicated with me every step of the way, so there were no surprises at the end. I couldn't choose a better partner for this and future projects.

I hate writing this because I used Phillips for several years and was happy with their service, that is until last week. Called Monday to arrange to get an oil change, tire rotation, and check out a warning light that had come on. I stressed that I could bring it in any day but it had to be a day they could do it in the morning so it would be done by the time I got out of work. No Problem, we can do that bring it in tomorrow. So I did, dropped it off before they opened, left the key and a note in the key drop, and headed to work. I came back in the afternoon and the car was still parked in the same spot sure enough, they had not touched it. And to be clear, not only had they not touched it, they didn t even know it was there as they retrieved my key from the drop box while I was standing there.I realize mistakes happen and had I gotten an apology or some attempt to make it right it would be fine but I got neither. At first I got excuses and almost an insinuation that it was my mistake, what time did you drop the keys off? and maybe they got stuck when you put them in . No, they just never looked which they finally admitted when I kept pushing. I even asked why when I had just made the appt. the day before would they not wonder and call when I did not show up. I was told lots of people make appointments and then don t show up. Really? That s how you run your business? Allowing people to block off appt. time and then not show up and you don t even call?Lastly, I waited a week to post this on the chance I would get some kind of phone call apologizing or offering somehow to make it right. I got nothing. I ll be finding a new mechanic and recommending the multiple people I referred to Phillips do the same if my car can slip through the cracks then what else does?UPDATESince I can't reply to the reply, I'll update this. A very well written response to my review, its mostly fiction, but its well written. Without going blow by blow I will just note 2 of the points,if by "you ripping the envelope up" you mean ripping it open to get my key out as I was leaving then yes, that is true. Also, you were NOT open at 8:30 when I dropped the keys off, the office was locked and the lights were off. I notice you must have updated your office hours here on Google, you forgot to update them on Yelp also so I grabbed a quick screenshot posted below. Note the hours. Thanks.
