This is how any mechanic should treat their customers! 1st class treatment always! I have been with them for five years and can t imagine going anywhere else even though I have moved more than 30 minutes away. (They used to be just five minutes away)They run full diagnostics when I have any car issue and go over every line item to explain it layman terms so I can understand. The pictures on the report definitely help! They then prioritize time lines for each issue. It s nice to know the budget is tight some issues can wait to be addressed.Friendly, professional and knowledgeable. It s definitely a five star from me.

I was referred to Maclane s by a friend who is very particular about honest businesses. I too have to say that I felt I was being provided honest and sound advice and answers about the work being performed. When they found a frame issue, they stopped any further work to ask if I wanted anymore done (not just do needless work). I also appreciate the use of technology in emails and text to communicate but they aren t shy to use a phone too. Very professional crew and if needed I would hesitate to use them again.

I ve been a customer of Maclane s for probably 10 years, I m guessing. They stand by their work and always give a personal touch. They ve given excellent advice in prioritizing work on our kid s vehicles to budget their expenses wisely. Even looked over cars before purchasing and have steered us away from a couple and recommended others. I would not go anywhere else.

I m glad I brought my vehicle to Maclane s Automotive. The mechanics there are good people that care about doing a great job. One can tell they really take pride in their work. They were all friendly, confident, and knowledgeable. They also really minded my needs. I had to leave my van there overnight. They offered me a loaner car until they finished mine. It was a positive and good experience all around.

EVERYONE HERE IS PATIENT, KIND, AND HONEST.My new automotive spot! I chose to wait with my car and I really enjoyed my wait (which was not long ) chatting with the guys up front. Highly recommend!!!!!!They didn t try to take me for my money either. I wasn t informed of any pressing issue that needs to be fixed immediately which was a relief.

Excellent service and great communication. I m relatively new to the area and have been looking for a trustworthy mechanic. Highly recommend. They were able to fit me in same day for a diagnostic and were very fair with the pricing. Highly recommend! I will be going back for some repairs in the future. Also, they document every issue on you car with pictures that they email you in a very professional presentation so there is no surprises!

Maclanes is absolutely the best auto mechanic I have ever used. 2006 Toyota Avalon went in for state inspection and I got a text explaining the issues found and what need to be fixed to pass. The text included pictures and thorough explanations of the repairs. Not only were the inspection items listed but other they noted repairs recommended to to take care of over time. Car was ready to be picked up the same day I dropped it off. Really appreciate their customer service, timeliness, quality of work and attention to detail to keep my cars running.

Honesty, integrity and solid workmanship is a rarity these days. With Maclane s, you get all 3. When you call to schedule an appointment you get a knowledgeable and friendly reception. The techs are tangibly confident and gifted in their mechanical trade. Not only do you receive top notch customer service and top notch mechanical service, you fully know what to expect financially and can save accordingly. Maclane s has a fantastic reputation in the community as well. You cannot go wrong by choosing them for your auto mechanic needs. By all means, don t take my word for it, experience it for yourselves.

After my experience with Maclane's, I'm not taking our car anywhere else. Their service is next level. When I brought our car in for an inspection and oil change, Alan showed me a picture of a bushing that was coming apart so I could see what was going on before he recommended repairs. In my experience, no auto shop has EVER done that. Very cool.We got the bushing and arm replaced. A day later, the car was popping and banging. We called Maclane's to let them know, and they made time to look things over ASAP. They took full responsibility, spotted the issue, tightened the bolt that was making noise and didn't charge us a cent for the error.And whenever I've requested that repairs or oil changes be done by a certain time, they've obliged.I'm grateful for Alan and the crew at Maclane's. They're a damn good outfit, and I'm grateful to know our car is in good hands. Thanks guys!

I went to Maclanes for the first time a week ago after hearing great things about them, and I am one to be very skeptical of garages/mechanics. Very impressed. It was a great experience from start to finish. Great customer service, they didn t make me feel rushed on the phone as I tried to explain something I knew nothing about lol he even got me in the very next day. Once the figured out the problem on my car, he called me promptly and didn t just tell me, but walked me through and explained everything. Not only did they find the issue I complained about, but did a full check on my car and informed me about other issues they came across .and not just found something else wrong, he actually showed me and explained through pictures but didn t force me into having anything done or fixed. He let me know what needed attention more immediately and what could wait until later. I never once felt pressured into having anything done, other that what the more immediate issue was, and I still left there not having it done yet because I wasn t prepared to have the work done yet and he wanted me to do it on my own time, not theirs, and assured me my car was safe to drive for a little longer until I was ready to bring it back. It s VERY rare to come across a garage that you can trust, and make you feel as though your their only concern/customer at the time, and again, I m very very skeptical of people/garages, and after only one visit, this will be my new place to go for repairs. Very honest, genuine people, from the front desk to the mechanic. They ve gained me and my family as new customers for sure. I highly recommend them.

This shop took my car at a moments notice and was very detailed in explaining my options given the issues my car had. They made the fix and did an exceptional job all around. I highly recommend this shop if you re looking for people who care and explain your options clearly

My experience was amazing at Maclane s automotive! They are very thorough in providing detailed reports and photos of your car and they did not try to push me to buy things I did not need. Allen is extremely kind and personable. Will definitely be giving them my business again!

Maclane s was helpful and communicative from the jump, they did their best to work around my work schedule and make repairs to my car so I could pass inspection. The way they break everything down is very informational and doesn t make you feel like you re getting ripped off like 99% of other auto body shops do. I will be bringing my car here no matter what from now on, truly a great shop and well ran.

I visit Maclane's for the first time several months ago and have now had two completely successful repair jobs completed by them on my 2017 VW GTI. One of these was a very challenging job that concerned the onboard computer and how it determined wheel speed, and the outcome was uncertain, but Maclane s nailed it. As with any premium shop, Maclane s is on the more expensive end but I am willing to pay more to get jobs completed right the first time. One other reason I felt compelled to write this review is that I have been highly impressed with the way Maclane runs his shop and treats his employees. During my last visit, I just happened to arrive just as they were wrapping up an all-hands meeting, so I got to witness the way they work as a team, the high principles they work by, and the interest Maclane takes in developing his employees and running his business with such integrity. Always a pleasure to find a business like this one!

Wow! They are friendly, communicative, and I had a free loaner while my jeep was worked on, a lifesaver! I highly recommend them, and am now a customer for life! They were thorough in explaining what was needed for my jeep and I am so grateful

The entire staff lead with KINDNESS and PROFESSIONALISM from the door. Let s face it no one likes taking their vehicle to the shop! They provided a list of the obvious inspection, oil change, ect. As well, a list of what may be needed moving forward. There was no pressure! They gave me a choice!!! And even gave me a LOANER!!! I felt like Family!

First time having my '10 Subaru Impreza serviced at Maclanes. I took it in for an oil change but after chatting with Allen and letting him know about a farther commute, the shop recommended I change my transmission fluid and flush some other fluids too. My impreza drives like it's new. Will definitely be hitting up Maclanes next time I need service!

I had an emergency at the end of a long agoroad trip. The AC drain line was stopped up and the entire right side of passenger compartment was flooded. Mac, Gil and the whole were right on it. I was kept informed of progress and the bill was surprisingly lower than I had expected. Maclane s is my regular service center due to excellent workmanship, fair dealing, and a service ethic that reminds me of what we used to get in my youth (three-quarters of a century ago)!!! Went to replace a battery for a home application, they took the order, work with me on a pick up time, as I was travelling later that day, and the service when I was there, was fast friendly and efficient. Can't ask for much more.

I had a complicated problem with my Toyota where the check engine light was on due to multiple codes. The problem returned and Maclane and Alan worked through it and took care of it all at a very reasonable price.If you need a mechanic in Downingtown I would highly recommend Maclanes.

While staying at a nearby campground, a squirrel got into our engine unbeknownst to us. While driving, the belts snapped causing the electrical system warning to come on. We googled the nearest auto service station and ended up at Maclane s. What a God send!! They were amazing!! The customer service was fantastic right from the start! They gave us a ride back to our campsite and had the repairs done within 24 hours, sending an employee back to pick us up again. It wasn t a cheap fix (thank God for comprehensive insurance), but they cleaned up the mess, replaced the belts, and were super thorough to make sure no other damage had been done. It was an amazing experience, and our only regret is that we don t live in the area to have them service our cars on a regular basis! Thank you, Maclane s for a job well done!! If you don t mind paying a little bit more than other place then you won t be disappointed. You can trust these guys with anything. Customer service is excellent and they know how to work on German cars which can be hard to find. They go above and beyond which sets them apart.
