I recently purchased tires from an online seller and asked a friend who is a bit of an enthusiast if he recommended anyone local as an installer. He immediately recommended Patrick at Awkar.I'm very glad he did.Patrick installed my tires flawlessly, the gloss black painted rims are still pristine. He performed an alignment and was able to correct a camber issue that had caused wear problems on my front tires. He also replaced my brake fluid as I requested.All this was done quickly and for a very reasonable price. He called me to describe the camber issue and to recommend several solutions at varying levels of complexity and cost, allowing me to make an informed decision.I will be sure to give Awkar more of my business in the future. Its really refreshing to find an honest, knowledgeable, independent mechanic and escape the dealer service department.

The owner Pat is an honest, excellent, hardworking, reliable mechanic and man. Awkar has always gone above and beyond in customer service. Over 20 years all work was 5 star!!!! I have brought atleast 3 vechiles for repair induding my VW Rialta. I traveled 8 hrs for my appointment because I know I can trust that it was done right at Awkar!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Auto battery replacement, Auto emissions testing, Vehicle safety inspection, Auto brake replacement, Battery, Oil change

Patrick has been working on my car during 2022 and he s done a great job. He s helped me out with an oil leak, new axels, flat tire, fixing a broken door handle, battery replacement my car is getting old but he s kept it running while I figure out buying a new car. Patrick installed my Winter tires for me this year. He was super friendly, completed the job quickly and for a good price. His waiting area was clean, with good coffee, free WIFI and TV. Will definitely come back the next time I need service on one of my cars.

Decided to give them a try based on all of the positive reviews I saw - Absolutely outstanding!! The other reviews are spot on. Pat's wife was super-accomodating to my schedule, got me right in at 8AM, and by 11AM was calling to tell me the job was done, not that I needed 100 other things like most repair shops do! Cannot recommend them enough. They have our business hands down, and I will try to send others there as well.

I needed to make a last minute tire swap in the middle of the day yesterday and Awkar was able to fit me into their schedule. Service was prompt, friendly and reasonably priced. I love the fact that this is a husband-and-wife owned family business, I'll always support family-owned local businesses when I have the chance. I moved here a little over a year ago and I'll definitely be using Awkar as my go-to auto repair service going forward.

I called to make an appointment and Patrick explained what was necessary and how much it would cost. The appointment was for 8:30 am and he took my car in at 8:25 am. The service was completed at 9:15 am and everything was completed properly at the estimated cost. I would highly recommend Awkar Auto Service for friendly, prompt and outstanding service. Jim McD.

Outstanding Service at a reasonable price. When we first moved to Downingtown it was not easy finding a place to get our vehicles serviced. Many got very bad reviews. I happened upon Awkar and I'm very glad I did. Friendly, reliable service with great customer service.

They are nice, but unfortunately, they don't like repeat customers. They serviced 2 of my cars w/over 200,000 miles in the past, but I called to have one of them serviced and they refused. I have always paid upfront, never had any other problems with them. They are a smaller shop and perhaps they are afraid of any liability issues so they may send you packing as well. With this treatment as well as the shoddy work (see my update below), I would encourage you to look elsewhere and not give them your money. I will now be taking my new & old cars to another shop, meaning tens of thousands of dollars (literally) in lost revenue for this place. That's based on real historical data from my own bank account records that reveal the great relationship I had with the last shop where I used to live.UPDATE - 4/25/2018: I took my older car to another shop and they found multiple issues that I was hoping AWKAR would find. (Yes! I was willing & able to pay for it all!) But NO! Last time AWKAR worked on the same car, besides doing an oil change, I asked them to look at the brakes and do a diagnostic. They didn't find or fix the issues that I was willing to pay for. I find it ironic that the oil-change reminder sticker on my windshield was theirs, put there by them and yet when I came back as a repeat customer, they refused me. They just lost over $1700 in net income from me alone! Great job AWKAR in losing customers & money! Enjoy your bankruptcy when you lose too many of us!

I just had some work done to my 2014 Jetta. This was my first time using Awkar and am giving 5 stars for a great customer service experience. Will definitely use Awkar again and again.

Pat and Christine fantastic.. Pat's very thorough and very professional.. There's no unwanted service recommendation like how you get at the dealers.. Plus he's always direct.. If he can't fix something he'll let you know upfront.. I've been going here for almost a year now.. I refuse to go anywhere else.. Pat Rocks! #InPatITrust
