Dave will get ALL of my business moving forward! Here's Why...When I had difficulty with my brakes, Dave drove me back to my house, safely got my car to his garage and did a total diagnostic. He determined that my repair should be covered by factory warranty due to an active recall for the part causing this issue. Dave helped determine the issue and well as a solution that wouldn't cost me any money and asked for nothing in return. Dave didn't know me from Adam and did all this out of kindness and wanting to help someone out he just met. I want to let everyone know that this is the type of above and beyond customer care and service you will get from Dave. Thank you Dave for all your help, I greatly appreciate it! I will be coming to you with any future repairs because I know you're honest and always put customers first!!!!!

Dave has been taking care of my mini van for routine maintenance and inspections. He most recently replaced my tires, brakes and rotors. He takes the time to explain everything, and he is meticulous in his work! Dave also repaired my father s catalytic converter after another shop had completely misdiagnosed the problem. I highly recommend Dave s Transmission and Auto Repair if you are in search of a reliable, skilled and honest mechanic.

Dave's Transmission has been doing a great job keeping my older car in good running condition!Recently, my car had an oil leak and Dave resolved the problem. I have been to other mechanics that kept "finding" problems - yet never resolve the issue. Dave takes the time to figure out what's wrong and fixes the problem.I plan to keep my car for a long time and keep going to Dave's for maintenance and repairs.

I ve been coming here for over 3 years and every time I come here, I always leave satisfied. He always does every service very quickly and at a reasonable price. I would highly recommend for any automotive needs.

I cannot stress enough how amazing Dave is! So upfront and kind about my transmission situation and he was very patient and answered all of the MANY questions I had. I would highly recommend anyone coming to Dave if they have any worries about their transmission. He will definitely let you know what he thinks is best for YOU and not try to swindle you out of money or upcharge you. He is honest, down to earth, and an absolute pleasure to work with. Dave is for the working man, my transmission fluid was leaking like sieve 3:30 pm Thursday I drove my car in & I explained I need my car for work the next day & basically live paycheck to paycheck. Dave had his mechanic pull it in the bay & quickly diagnosed the problem fixed it sent me on my way at a price more then reasonable. No other shop would of done what Dave did for me, I'm indebted to Dave & his mechanic. Thank you Dave your an honest man.

We recently moved to Collegeville, not far from Dave's shop, and my wife and I scheduled to have our cars inspected as well as a routine oil change. Convenience was the driving force in the decision, but we were very pleased with how quickly Dave got us scheduled and the work completed. Dave was extremely personable and he seems to genuinely care about, and appreciate, his customers.I had to call back a week or two later because my oil light was still coming on. He politely asked the customer at the front to hold on while he gave me directions to troubleshoot and reset the computer as soon as I called. Dave also told me to bring the car right in for him to take a look at if that didn't work.It has been very clear to us that the customer experience is important to Dave and we will continue to give him our business. I'll be straight up with you. Dave is the most honest mechanic I have ever met and that is hard to come by these days. As a female who knows quite a bit about working on cars but occasionally needs a professional opinion or help, I can tell when I am being lied to or when something doesn't sound right. I went to Dave for a second opinion after a dealership told me I need a new transfer case (very expensive!). But the reasons for needing a new one didn't add up. So I asked Dave to please take a look because I heard good things about his shop. He was very honest with me and said there is nothing wrong with my jeep or its transfer case. He said the noise that has been worrying me is a normal sound that comes with buying older cars. He told me exactly what was causing the noise and said it's nothing to worry about or to put money towards. Dave is knowledgeable and the kind of guy that will tell you when something is wrong and when something is okay. He's not trying to sell you something you don't need. He just wants to help you get your vehicle back on the road! I absolutely recommend going to Dave for your mechanical needs and concerns. He's very friendly and easy to talk to.

I recently had an emergency situation with my car as my car had no power. Dave s Transmission and Auto Repair was close and I dropped my car off for analysis of the underline issue. Dave performed a in-depth review of my car and all systems. Dave was able to restore power back to my car and it is perform as before. Dave provided pointed recommendations to keep my car operating at its optimum performs. I appreciate the service and recommendations and will bring my car back for future auto repair needs.

I didn't end up using Dave to repair my vehicle per se, but he did take some time out of his day to go for a ride to experience an issue I was having with my transmission. When we got back to his shop, he provided me with a transmission lube which I tried to pay for, but he would not accept money. After I added the lube to my vehicle, its seemed to resolve my issue. Its hard these days to find people with professionalism and honesty and I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to take any of my vehicles to Dave's, if i needed him.

Dave completely rebuilt the transmission on my 20-year-old BMW. By doing so, he enabled me to keep my car on the road and spared me from having to shop for a replacement vehicle. He was honest, knowledgeable, timely and surprisingly affordable. My 2013 Ford Escape's transmission went and I had it towed to Dave's shop. Dave was quick to get it into the garage and take a look at it. The car needed a complete transmission re-build which Dave completed quickly. Dave was straight up about pricing and timing for fixing the car. He explained everything and took pictures for us to see the damage. I wasn't sure if the shift points were correct after the re-build so Dave had me bring the car back so he could look at it again.Great quality of work, communication, and fixed on time. I thought there was something wrong with my headlights. After inspecting the car, Dave assured me everything was fine with the vehicle and refused to charge me since no services were actually performed. Looking forward to returning! Dave is great guy. He rebuilt the rear on my truck in a week and showed me everything that was broken and was explaining how they worked. And surprise me by cleaning all the dirt and grease off the rims on my truck with no extra charge.10 out of 10 definitely recommended for your mechanic needs.

We have had two transmissions rebuilt by Dave. The first one was a Dodge Caravan, he rebuilt the trans at 80,000 miles and is still running strong at 278,000!!!.. I had stopped by one random day, he waited for me to arrive (even after closing time) I had a strange noise and thought the worst, that the trans was going again, turned out I just needed some power steering fluid.Our second trans that he rebuilt is a 98 Honda Civic that is running great as well.I would highly recommend him and will return if we are ever in need again.He is a nice person as well.

Our 2007 Ford F-150 Supercab had a transmission problem and a friend recommended Dave s transmission. He said Dave stands behind his work. We had the work done the end of July and the truck had no problems until January 2nd 2019. We took it back to Dave s and he repaired the transmission no charge. So he does stand behind his work. Also he s a very nice person too!

Dave is an excellent guy!! Bought my truck from him a few months back and have never been happier! He was very upfront about the truck(i.e. all of the flaws in the truck) but he assured me after the rebuild he had done, the only things wrong were cosmetic. Since then the truck has ran great and I couldn t be happier. Would highly recommend Dave to anyone

If you are looking for a honest, fair, knowledgeable and friendly mechanic Dave is it!I took my car that was doing a whole lot of shaking and hot and smoking wheels. Dave figured out the problem right away and I was very happy with the service. I definitely recommend him.

Our 2005 BMW 330xi was randomly not engaging into gear when putting in drive or reverse. I brought it to Dave and he was able to diagnose and fix the issue with the right front axle assembly and shaft within a few days. He provided excellent customer service and we are very satisfied with the work and price which was much less than the dealership quote for several thousand dollars. I definitely would recommend using them for transmission related issues.

I discovered a small oil leak on my car and when I popped the hood I noticed what appeared to be a leak around my valve cover. I figured it was a simple fix involving replacing the valve cover gasket,, however I didn't have the tools ro replace it. So I started the hunt for a mechanic (I am new to the area and didn't have a clue who to take my car to). I did know that I didn't want to take it to one of the big name places, because my experience with them has almost always been negative. I am no mechanic and I never claim to be, but my father, multiple uncles, cousins, my brother and my husband were all mechanics. So while I am not one I do know a little bit, and I know how I don't want to be treated (talked down to, having them try to upsell me or try to overcharge me etc). I decided to go to Dave's based on his Google reviews. I am so glad I did! Dave kept me informed every step of the way and when he discovered that the problem was worse than just a messed up gasket he let me know. And when I went to pick up my car, he showed me the parts that he had to replace and if there was even a smidgen of doubt in my mind about his honesty that doubt was blown away. Dave made certain I knew exactly what was going on with my car and what he did to repair it. Even his invoice is detailed. Dave also took the time to go the extra mile and add air to my tires and clear an engine code i didn't know was there, and he didn't charge me for these extras.Dave is beyond honest and professional. He is what a great mechanic is. Dave's diligence, honesty, professionalism, and overall good humor has made certain that as long as his shop is open and he is there he has a customer in me. I won't take my car to anyone else. Thank you Dave! You are amazing.

Absolutely fantastic place. My family has been going to Dave for years, and we love him. He's honest and trustworthy, he does excellent work, and he treats his customers like family. Dave is pencil and paper old school. Honest, trust worthy, and excellent at his craft. He just did my brakes, rotors, alignment, and spark plugs. At 75mph my car rides like its on a rail. Runs better than when i bought it used two years and 60,000 miles ago. You get what you pay for.

I took my Hyundai Entourage to another mechanic due to my "check engine light" coming on. He said it was transmission related and he could not help me. I took it to Dave's Transmission simply because it is only 1.5 miles from my house (plus the fact the business has so many positive reviews online). He is now my go-to mechanic due to his professionalism, courtesy, and automotive knowledge. I will recommend him to anyone with an automotive issue.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Daves shop is very close to my office which is very handy. But, more importantly, he is extremely efficient, communicative, knowledgeable, and his prices are very reasonable. He helped me with every problem I had in an expeditious and convenient manner so my down time is minimal. I cant say enough about him and highly recommend him for any repair needs.

My car was towed to Daves transmission on yesterday because I thought I was having transmission problems. Thank God for the honest mechanic he is.Turned out I needed serpentine belts, no problems with my transmission. When my car was done I took the bus to pick up my car, which I was nervous about getting there before he closed. Dave said that if I was late he would wait for me. I arrived 5 minutes before closing. He greeted me with a smile and didn't rush me to close. I had read some of the negative reviews before going, but I am glad I went anyway and I would definitely recommend him to others.Thanks again Dave

I cannot express how happy I am with Dave! FIVE STARS, more if I could. I had a sudden problem come up on my older car where it was shaking pretty bad and I took it to my regular guy. The problem seemed strait forward and we went ahead with repairs and things were better but still not correct. Going through many lines of thought everyone was stumped. We brought the car to a second mechanic in hopes that they would have a fresh perspective and they felt the problem was still with the original part our guy replaced. So back to him we went and he re-did the work with factory parts instead of after market parts, the problem was still there and getting worse again! Ultimately we were at the end of the rope and sort of guessing what the problem could be and he mentioned the transmission but he does not do them himself. So after 2.5 months of being sick about this car, and considering a new car, I called dave to compare the cost of transmission work in a worst case senario. Dave promissed me that he specialized in finding nuance problems and to bring it in. He convinced me, and I am so SO happy he did!! he found the problem in just a few hours!! He really seems to enjoy the challenge of these issues! Really thorough, really explains things well and really saved me from buying a new car!
