Brought my truck with 100k miles on it to B&M for a ticking in the motor and an AC that wasn t working. Feared the worst and that I was about to drop thousands into a repair. Ben called me the next day said I needed a new condenser for the AC. Not a big deal. For the ticking, after looking over it and driving it he basically said that it s a truck with 100k miles on it. It s going to makes some noise but there were no real issues with the engine. He could have easily told me it was a bigger issue and taken me for thousands of dollars in repairs but he was straight up and honest. My wife and I have been looking for a reliable honest fair priced mechanic since we moved to collegeville and B&M is just that. Great experience and a relief. We will be taking all our vehicles to B&M for everything vehicle related moving forward.

B&M is a super reliable, honorable and fact-based auto service with an awesome bed-side manner. I've had two vehicles (both Jeep Wranglers) serviced there repeatedly and will only go to Ben and team based on their level of service which has been consistently beyond expectation, but typically less painful in the cost area than they typically quote. I like them selling the pain and cost of doing some expensive jobs as opposed to candy-coating the price tag. Also, they're very fair in pricing and timeline to get jobs completed. Cool vibe in the shop too...I want to light up a cigar, pour a whiskey and hang out....I haven't done that....yet. I came in on 6/29 to have my AC system looked at after not being able to charge it myself with a DIY recharge system. I told the owner about my attempt and how the pressure gauge went from 0 PSI to overcharged within just a few seconds. I also told him that a new AC compressor had (supposedly) been installed by the car's previous owner last year. After a not so long wait, he told me that the issue was either one of two things: a short in the wiring coming from the compressor or that the compressor itself was bad. To figure out the wiring issue would cost hundreds in labor. I reminded him that the compressor had been replaced last year and I asked him if he could verify that it looked new. (I couldn't see it well myself due to the car's engine setup and I didn't have floor jack.) He confirmed that it was probably about a year old like I had been told. The same day, I got a second opinion. That mechanic showed me that not only was it not a year old compressor, but that it was likely from a junkyard (I could see the chalk markings and there was still a sticker on it that should have been removed), but that the clutch was also completely rusted to the point where the clutch couldn't spin at all and was locked up. I ordered a remanufactured compressor online and had him replace it a few days later. Once the old one was removed, it was obvious to see that it was old and inoperable; the clutch didn't spin. Obviously, the owner at B&M just hooked it up to a code scanner and let the car run for a bit. For a $50 diagnostic, he didn't bother to take just a few minutes to really look at a central component of the system and see if the clutch could spin which would have prevented it from engaging altogether. I can only conclude that he didn't know how to do a proper diagnostic for a common issue or he didn't want to and hoped that I would authorize fixing an expensive and unnecessary electrical repair/diagnostic; I suspect the latter. On a positive note, he did inform me of a rattling noise that I heard coming from the front of the car. Pictures of the old compressor and diagnostic are posted below. Car owner beware.

The hardware store next to the thrift shop said B & M let's all their customers use the restroom (because they only have one downstairs & can't leave the register to go with customers)!I walk into B & M and ask the guy at the front desk if I could use the restroom, I even mention that next door sent me over...He couldn't even open his mouth to say no. He just shook his head no to me! RudeThere was no sign saying, no public restrooms!

I m super picky with my vehicles and this is the only place I ll take any of my vehicles to. They do all my work for my business & Mike and Ben never disappoint. They always give top quality work at an affordable price and their turn around time is really good. I leave their shop with my vehicles done right every single time. They re trust worthy guys and are honest when it comes to the repairs. Don t even bother taking your car to some dealership, they re always trying to sell you something and give you the run around. You don t get that here and you can leave with the confidence that your vehicle was taken care of. These gentleman have been working on our vehicles for about 15 years now, and I can honestly say there is no one we trust more! Mike and Ben are super friendly, honest, knowledgeable, skilled and accommodating. They are ALWAYS happy to answer any questions we have and are ready to tackle whatever we send their way. I love the communication and how they stay in touch with you so there are never any surprises. The shop is not only clean, but they also provide refreshments, snacks, old school games, comfy couches and a TV for you to enjoy while you wait!These two are truly amazing! B&M is simply the best. Mike and Ben are the only individuals my fianc� and I trust with our vehicles. We moved from Lower Providence to Plymouth Meeting and still, we take our vehicles to B&M because of the honesty, professionalism, and quality of work we receive every single time. They are hands down two of the nicest guys you ll ever meet, they are beyond knowledgeable, and above all, they CARE. They are prompt and very responsive. We ve told all of our friends and family members to go to B&M and they too have never been disappointed. From basic maintenance, to diagnostic issues, to leveling kits and lift kits they will never disappoint. Not to mention they have the BEST waiting area I ve ever, ever seen in a shop. This guy is great! Pulled in because we noticed our light was out and not many people work on a Mercedes. We were on our way out of town and needed quick service. He had us in and out at a killer price with 15 minutes! Great place to chill while you are waiting for your vehicle to be fixed. Waiting area is comfortable, classy and clean! This place would ve had a one star, but they got my car done within a day.I usually buy all my own parts, because I know where they are coming from. These guys are one of the few people around me who would use my parts. They went through the whole talk about not warrantying the parts not liable for it whatever, I needed it done pronto.They charge $125/ hour for labor. Wasn t mentioned at all either. I brought them a lower ball joint, which was literally crushed, as you can see in the photo and it s now leaking as you can see the spot on the rim. I also brought them AC condenser to put in because my old one was busted. Within a week the compressor was locking up because there was air stuck in my compressor. They couldn t even get me in to fix it until another day and said I would have to leave the car there all day. I got it fixed at my shop in 45 minutes. No issue anymore.Not to mention they didn t put my car back together the right way at all, the entire bottom of my cars skid plate was missing 5 clips. It was open and my fog light wiring harness was scraping the ground for a day.I do not recommend this business at all, especially after spending $630 for half done work.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Air conditioning

Quality work, great prices, great guys. Very responsive to customer questions and will always explain the work that was done. They stand behind their work 100%. When I took a my vehicle to the dealer for a recall issue, they redid work done by B&M, telling me there was an oil leak, which was suspicious since there was no oil on the floor of my garage. B&M covered the cost of the extraneous dealer work, no questions asked.

I was recommended this shop by Lock and Loaded Off-road and I was not disappointed. I went to B & M after a botched alignment from another shop. They did a thorough and professional job. I can honestly say they went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with the alignment. I will definitely be using them again for my automotive needs.Service: Wheel alignment

Outstanding service. Brilliant mechanics. Immaculate shop. Most of all they are trustworthy and committed. I've never been to a more confident or highly educated group of mechanics. Highly recommend Ben and Mike for all your inspections, repairs, and alignment needs. They keep our vehicles running great year round. Fair prices, quality parts and they get them quick usually same day. They are honest, trustworthy and always available in a pinch. I would refer anyone I know to these guys.

My husband and I brought our Jeep to Ben after having taken it to several other mechanics that just tried to putBandaids on everything and charged us an arm and a leg. Ben was willing to help.us and he "counseled" us thru the process. He was honest and did not try to sugarcoat anything. Ben was able to get a ton of work done quickly as the Jeep had to pass emissions. He delivered and then some. He went above and beyond and the customer service was excellent. B&M is amazing!!!! My truck broke down on the side if the road I called and they came and picked me up in their own tow truck!! Turns out my fuel pump went but the good thing is B&M had my truck done the same day!! They are very kind and honest its hard to find that in a shop now a days. Highly recommended to others!!

I have been taking my cars to Ben and Mike for years and they treat every customer as if they are family. Never have I dealt with two guys more willing to bend over backwards to make their clients lives easier. Additionally, their ability to properly diagnose and repair issues at a fair cost is second to none.

My wife had to be towed here after her front tire blew out nearby. Unfortunately there was damage to the wheel as well. They were able to get the parts needed rather quickly at a great price They did an amazing job getting her back on the road with confidence. Thank you!

Really good guys. Took my flat, hoping that it could easily be patched. Ben showed me how it couldn't be repaired because there was a hole in the sidewall. He worked relentlessly to find a replacement tire for me and got it mounted, balanced and installed within hours of me meeting him. I almost didn't post because I don't want people finding out about these guys. :)Right across the street from Collegeville bakery and to the left side of Collegeville Do It Best.

Ben and mike have been working on all my cars for a few years now and I must say they are super fair and get the job done great every time..they will tell you exactly what you need and will tell you while they are working on your vehicle if anything else should or shouldn t be taken care of..I will continue to use this shop..also check out the amazing new rim and tire room they have..

Mechanics are truthful and show what s wrong with my vehicle rather than just telling me.
